After having dinner we walked over to Bubble Egg for dessert. I have seen this on social media so of course I wanted to try them out. Walking in it smells like a freshly made waffle cone. The staff are pretty friendly, but lack in helping understand how it all works. Once I looked at all the ice creams and additional items I was ready to order. I chose the original with Oreo, cookies and cream ice with fresh strawberries, and Nutella, The cone it self was really good and I am glad I added the fresh strawberries and Nutella. The ice cream was just that ice cream. My sister picked the cookie monster ice cream, but did not realize it was blue and was a bit disappointed until she actually tried the ice cream and it tasted like vanilla. My niece had a cup of the cotton candy ice cream and M&Ms, I will say her ice cream tasted just like cotton candy. I cannot say if I will go back or not because they are pretty expensive, but I did enjoy it all in all.

Came for some bubble tea after we went to hmart. I got the Thai milk tea and my friend had the mangonada. Definitely liked the mangonada better. The milk tea was very so so. The tapioca in it was pretty hard I didn't really enjoy it.

I recently stopped by Bubble Egg, the much-hyped dessert spot known for its "bubble waffles" and over-the-top ice-cream creations. Here's my take: What I Loved * Unique Presentation: Their signature bubble waffles are crisp on the outside, pillowy inside, and make a fantastic vessel for scoops of ice cream, drizzles, and toppings. * Flavor Selection: From classic vanilla bean to indulgent salted-caramel pretzel and even a playful matcha-strawberry swirl, the house-made ice creams are rich, creamy, and clearly churned with quality ingredients. * Vibe & Service: The café itself is bright and cheerful, with friendly, enthusiastic staff who are happy to talk you through all the flavor combos and specials. Where It Fell Short * Sticker Shock: A single waffle "egg"--that is, one large bubble waffle filled with two scoops, sauces, and mix-ins--runs about $12-$14, and if you add extra scoops or premium toppings you're easily looking at $18-$20. That price point feels steep, even for a trendy dessert spot. * Portion vs. Price: Though the portions are generous, the jump from a basic scoop at a local creamery (usually $4-$5) to these extravagant concoctions can be hard to justify for a quick treat. * Not Always Worth the Wait: On busy weekends, you can expect a 10-15 minute line--and if you're just in it for a simple ice cream fix, you might regret waiting in line for something only marginally more exciting than what you can get at a lower-priced counter down the block. Bottom Line: Bubble Egg nails the Instagram-worthy bubble-waffle-plus-ice-cream formula--with top-notch flavors, playful toppings, and a fun atmosphere. If you're celebrating something special or you want to splurge on a memorable dessert, it's absolutely worth a visit. But for everyday ice-cream cravings, the premium price makes it more of an occasional treat than a regular indulgence. 1/2 (3.5/5)

I was craving dessert and this place really hit the spot. My boyfriend and I opted for green tea and Thai tea ice cream. I also added pistachio to the egg waffle for an extra crunch and the ensemble was delicious!

I went to Bubble Egg with a large group and our orders were handled professionally and fast despite the rush. Everything came out quickly and they still made sure to make adjustments if needed. The inside is large and can accommodate a lot of people. I would definitely come back here again. I liked my Thai tea with boba but it's a little less sweeter than the usual Thai tea you'd get anywhere else, I wasn't mad at that.

Loved this! Came here late at night and the food really hit the spot. I was ordering chicken tender and a bubble waffle separately but the lady taking my order told me it was cheaper to do the chicken tender/waffle combo plus it comes with fries. So I got that and it was delicious!

They make the bubble waffles fresh ! Made to order which I love because it comes out hot and the ice cream starts to melt in it . I had the Cookie Monster which as you can see from the picture is super cute The service was average the guy answered my questions and made my food . It can be a bit slow since there's only one person working

OMG this place is amazing!! The decor inside is so cute and we love the little egg character haha We ordered the plain bubble waffle with thai tea and jasmine tea ice cream as the cashier recommended getting 2 scoops of ice cream. It came out to around $10-11, which I thought was pretty pricey but after how delicious it was, I thought it was worth it! First of all, the ice cream flavors are some of the best we have ever had!! The thai tea tasted exactly like drinking thai tea and was a little on the sweeter side for me but I would still recommend. The jasmine was light and delicious, tasting exactly like the tea! Both flavors were 10/10. But 2 scoops is definitely for sharing and I wouldn't have been able to finish it on my own. I LOVE bubble waffles and this is one of the best I have had. The waffles are DELICIOUS and remain crispy even after being in contact with the ice cream. Obviously, it is super aesthetic in the way they serve the waffle but I almost would prefer to have the ice cream and waffle separate haha but even like this the waffle remained crispy until the very bottom. Honestly, I'd come back just to get some plain bubble waffles!! The strawberries were sour so probably wouldnt get those again. Overall, the bubble waffle dessert was 10/10, and I'd definitely come back here again when I find myself in Katy!! I just wish they had another near Bellaire :(

It's been a few months since we've been to bubble egg but it never disappoints. We always get the Go Bananas with banana pudding ice cream and an iced Vietnamese coffee. So yummy!

Some of these recent reviews are questionable. We came here 15 mins prior to closing. I asked if it was too late but the staff was welcoming. We ordered a drink and a bubble waffle. The ube pudding drink was very tasty. Light ice, not too sugary, and boba was chewy not tough. It did not take long for the drink to be made. About 5 mins or less. Bubble waffle did not take 30 mins, more like 15 because there was a group of 3 in front of us. Staff was never rude, they were extremely nice even when people were just sitting there for a long time. Prices were fair. Place was very clean.

Good spot for dessert and a tea! We went here after eating at Jia Kitchen and needed something sweet. My boys loved their bubble waffles with Oreo filling, whip cream and Nutella. I got a brown sugar Milk tea with boba and I really liked it. I definitely recommend shaking it up and stirring before taking a sip because it's super sweet! Next time I want to try the taro pudding milk tea.

The music is a mix of EDM, Hip-hop, Rap, and R&B. They have tables and bar top seating. If you have a bigger group, I'm sure you can find a table depending on the time you arrive. There is a lot of seating. To start off, I ordered the Matcha Martini. It was STRONG omg, definitely a sipper, but it was so good. It was creamy and had a good matcha flavor. I love how they added matcha powder on top. For drinks, I also tried their espresso martini and Bubbly Pineapple. The espressos here are good, no complaints. The Bubbly Pineapple is so cute; it comes out with a bubble of smoke you can pop. The drink is very refreshing; it really tastes like pineapple. FYI, the drink has little black seeds, so if you don't like textures in your drink, maybe this one isn't for you. Also the drink came with a little frozen pineapple you can add to your drink once you pop the bubble As an appetizer, I got a dozen raw oysters and decided to add the $5 tobiko (fish eggs). Let me say, they were not stingy with the Tobiko, there was so much on my Oysters, I mean a lot! The oysters were good, and so was the tobiko, but I feel that with so much tobiko, it kind of took away from the oysters. Still good though, especially for $21 for the dozen with the tobiko! It was very filling I'm not gonna lie, I got pretty full with the oysters, but I still had to eat my entree As an entree, I ordered the Short Ribs, which came with rice and a side salad. I didn't think I was going to eat much of my entree since the oysters had filled me up, but I ate the short ribs down to the bone! Every single one of those ribs I devoured, no meat was left on my plate. I didn't have space to eat, but my stomach made space for this. 10/10 would recommend the short ribs, especially with the delicious sauce it came with. I think it's like a fish sauce 10/10 for food and drinks. Bonus: the staff here is really friendly. I really enjoyed my time here. I need to come more often for sure, this is definitely a Katy gem

It doesn't bother me that it's semi-dimmed and small. The food made up for it even though my back was to the main entrance door. Good parking spaces. There was a waitlist but we didn't wait for over 30 minutes. Best bang for your buck AYCE sushi at $29.99/person and their menu is THICK. Even for someone who is used to sushi, it was overwhelming at first. The tablet made it easier to order without feeling so needy to the already-so-busy servers. Cheaper at lunch time but menu has less options, mainly no sashimi and only ice-cream as desserts. My favorites are chicken karaage, kanpachi sashimi, yellowtail sashimi, salmon sashimi, Cajun albacore sashimi, spider roll, Starbucks roll, baked green mussels, and their mochi (I got strawberry and mango). I got a lot more but those are my favorite and highly recommend for you to try. Final destination sushi rolls are majority of the people's favorite, including my server's. Eel sashimi is on a grill, which was surprising and good. Wasabi was lacking the spice and I'm not a fan of pink ginger but it's an AYCE so not complaining. What I do suggest you to do is to stay away from hot cheesecake and ice cream tempura. Unfortunately, they most likely use the same batter batch with their meats/seafood and they fry it with their seafood/meat oil so all you taste is mainly seafood, which is quite disgusting when you want your desserts to be desserts. I love seafood but that was gross. I still ate the insides. Overall, a solid restaurant for AYCE sushi. I like that the majority of their sushi rolls are half and they don't kill you with so much rice. Plus, you have an option to not get AYCE if you're not too hungry.

We got the roti canai and salt and pepper calamari as appetizers, and the sizzling tofu, beef rendang, CK teow as entrees. - Sizzling tofu (6/5): A MUST TRY! I've never had tofu with this texture before. The outside is slightly crisp and the inside so light and fluffy, it feels like bitting into a cloud. The tofu tastes like a creamy egg soufflé and the sauce is savory and salty with pieces of sauté onions that add a nice crunch. The presentation was also very striking with the server pouring the sizzling sauce over the tofu. It's just such a beautiful dish that I would go back solely for! - Beef rendang (4.5/5): Overall a delicious and hearty dish. The beef was very tender and juicy, and there was a generous amount of it. The potatoes soaked up the sauce very well and made the dish extra filling. I forgot if we got to pick a spice level, but the dish had a nice kick to it and wasn't overwhelming spicy. - "CK teow" char kway teow (4/5): This dish had a lovely char tasted to it that made it very addictive. Just a nice savory noodle dish. I think my only complaint was that the portion was on the smaller side - Salt & pepper calamari (3.6/5): This was a pretty good calamari. The calamari had a light and crispy exterior and was pretty tender and seasoned really well. The chunky veggies were a nice touch texture wise. - Roti Canai (3.6/5): the Indian bread was so nice and flakey, I could've eaten it alone. The curry was also really tasty and flavorful, just a little bit watery. Service/ambiance: Service was excellent and they gave us so much rice. My husband ordered the pho and ended up emptying two bowls of chili sauce into it -- and it was still on the mild side. Flavorful, yes. Spicy, not so much. If you love heat, you'll want to BYO fire. I ordered the tofu vermicelli and it was fantastic. Fresh, flavorful, great texture -- it just needed a little kick to make it perfect. Same with the spring rolls. As someone who has worked as a server before, I would never speak to customers that way. It felt unnecessary and rude.
