Awesome, delicious food and great waitresses. Checked on us throughout the whole time we were there. My husband had the Castaway shrimp boil with no seasoning. It was enough for two that aren't big eaters. He said he was really hungry so I had the grilled shrimp and grilled vegetables since he didn't want to share. I'm glad I did. First ever boil and it was great!!! Our waitress was super friendly and really spent time explaining everything to us. Our boil had corn, potato, crawfish and shrimp. We also got broccoli and salad. Pretty surprised I havent reviewed Bubba's yet. Like others have said, this place is pretty great. I am a big fan of the traditional Cajun seafood boil, and Bubba's does it well. Lots of options, though it can be a bit on the pricey side. Boils come with corn, potatoes and sausage. Shrimp is always a winner (Seadrift town motto: "Eat more shrimp in Seadrift!") and there are several crab options (blue, stone, snow, dungeness, king). Everything has been good. We had the king crab or the first time the other day and I would probably not order it again. Even though it was good, it was pricey ($20+ for 1/2lb.) and not great. It tasted a bit freezer burned and we chalked it up to our own fault for ordering Alaskan crab in south Texas. Otherwise, the service is always friendly and it is just a nice relaxing place to catch a meal. read more

Resturants are few and far between in this area but I had the shrimp platter with fries and it was good. However $20 was a little pricey for an 8 pc shrimp platter. Husband had the fried catfish and shrimp. He liked the shrimp but the catfish not so much. Waitstaff was nice and friendly, I wouldn't mind trying their "you catch it, we cook it" item for $10. It comes with 1 side. They also have several other seafood items to choose from but we were in a hurry to get fishing and crab legs take a little time. This may be my next choice! read more

We really enjoyed Bubba's! The seafood was so fresh and the employees were so friendly. It was a super family friendly place and great to fill up after a long day of fishing. The portions are large so come hungry. The vegetables were surprisingly delicious: we recommend the grilled broccoli. It's closed on Monday's so watch out for that! Absolutely Awful!!!!! Smelled like a bait shop. Served what I think was frozen packaged Shrimp. Ordered Grilled Shrink and Broccoli. Shrimp came out dripping grease and hadn't been de-turded. "GROSS". Salad was stale. I complained to both the waitress and cashier, but was not offered a discount from either despite both seeing that none of the shrimp had been eaten. Don't take a chance. Do yourself a favor and stop at a 7-11 and pick up some stale Nachos. You will be much more satisfied. read more

Excellent. Very inexpensive and the calamari was awesome. The shrimp were good too; maybe a little smaller than I am used to, but for a pound of shrimp it was the same price as a quarter pound from papadeaux so I can't complain! We ate during happy hour so the beers were cheap, but I imagine they are well priced anyway. A very courteous, nice young man (whose grandmother's artwork is for sale in the restaurant) waited on us, providing excellent service. Will definitely be back by if/when back in town. read more

Their food is always great! Went there for crawfish and while its got good flavor, they don't seem to add the spice till after so it doesn't get in the actual meat very well. I will also say that $10.00 per pound seems a little high, but then again, I guess there aren't a whole lot of options around there. Worst experience ever. Over priced for what you get. When I told them I was unhappy with the frozen fish and frozen onion rings, no one even offered to exchange it for something else. Build a Burger Buffet for lunch on Wednesdays. Patty was a little drier this week than last week, but still tasty. At first glance, $9.95 seems on the pricey side, but if you compare to the price of a frozen fast food burger with cheese, bacon, guacamole, sautéed onions & mushrooms, chile torreado, onion rings, fries and tea, it's not that bad. Of course, you have to enjoy the extras to get your money's worth. In addition, there are chicken tenders & chicken fried steak cutlets to fill up on. Can't comment on the quality of them since a burger is my goal on Wednesday's. Great service, even with the local plant crowd loading the place up. Enjoy. read more

Two guys on a fishing trip, each started with a bowl of gumbo, which would have been a meal in itself, then split a combination cajun shrimp and crab platter, served on a tray. There were the best shrimp and crap I have eaten. Plenty for both of us; we took some home. Served with potatoes and corn; very spicy. Great service. Bubba was walking around in shrimper's boots. We ordered the fried pickles as appetizers and they were good. We ordered the grilled shrimp platters with grilled broccoli as our main meal. They brought out pan fried pop corn shrimp that was not deveined. We ate the broccoli and the wilted salads but just couldn't eat the shrimp. We were offered something else but were told oysters were out of season along with the crawfish. We did pay our bill in full and voiced our concerns but there was no response at the register.
