Whites BBQ - Rib plate with potato salad and Mac and cheese - Barbeque Near Me - Port Lavaca, Texas

The chicken sandwich was a hit! Very tender and flavorful. The fries were great also.

The sliced brisket was terrible. Tough and chewy nothing tender about it. wasn't smoked long enough. Was not fresh either. Paid over $20 and it was inedible and some of the worst brisket I have ever had. Couldn't eat it and threw it away. I should have said somthing while I was there but was just disgusted and left. Very disappointed. read more

Best BBQ in Pt Lavaca their chicken n brisket are the bomb! But hamburgers are right up there too!

The best burgers in town. I highly recommend the sourdough bun, my favorite anyway. Their steaks on Friday night are excellent. I also have a weakness for their BBQ Chicken, fall off the bone good. I've never had a bad meal there although I'm not a fan of their small/popcorn shrimp, the Burterflied shrimp & fried oysters are tasty as well. read more

Good solid BBQ. Only thing that keeps this from being 5 stars is the efficiency of service. Takes a while to get order taken and payed for. Other than that, best BBQ in Port Lavaca. Friendly atmosphere, amazing burgers. Must try if you're in the area. read more

Whites BBQ - Brisket/Sausage sandwich on Jalapeño bun + two Texas Twinkies. Be ready for food coma if you go with this combo. - Barbeque Near Me - Port Lavaca, Texas

Great Hamburgers! If you are craving a great homemade style hamburger or cheeseburger that is fixed the way you like it, this is the place to go. They also have bar-b-q. They are one of the few places that cooks & serves a barbecue chicken plate, but they also sell whole barbecue chickens without the trimming. read more

Big, sloppy, greasy but oh so tasty burgers are readily available here. We were in town before our annual shark trip. It didn't take long for us to phone in an order and have it available for pick-up, so bonus points for that! read more

Whites BBQ - a car parked in front of a restaurant - Barbeque Near Me - Port Lavaca, Texas

$10.99 for this? I also got an order of the Texas twinkies. This and the twinkies for $24? Didn't come with a drink or chips? Overpriced! Good flavor but not worth the price! read more

Whites BBQ - Sausage and brisket sanwhich - Barbeque Near Me - Port Lavaca, Texas

Greasy trays which makes you wonder if their dishwasher is running up to par and if anyone cares. The Q wasn't bad but nothing to go out of your way for, not enough smoke in my opinion. You have to order in the other room and get your food cafeteria style. There's no indication of this and the other room is hard to see through a small door at the back. Also, you get that small town bar feeling when you walk in and everyone turns to look but no one tells you to order in the other room, they just let you sit there- even one of their employees. We saw this happen to another customer after us so it wasn't that we smelled bad or anything. read more

Wow people are generous with this place. U want good BBQ people head to houston. This place was so greasy that I took my food home put in a strainer and drained the meat for minutes before I could eat it. The service huh..... yeah people are right the people are not very friendly or helpful. I will not be going back here even to try the burgers cause as much grease was on the chop meat I woild be afraid to eat the burger. Needless to say this is my first one star review but my god it was not good. read more

Very classic roadside Texas BBQ shop that also serves seafood. Though the portions of the plate are cheap in price and generous in amount, the food was pretty mediocre. Nonetheless, White's is still a decent fulfilling meal stop if you are passing by Port Lavaca, but it should not be somewhere to go out of way. read more

Onion rings were good, the shrimp was good, first hush puppies I've eaten that had taste to them. They seem consistent. Clean, hot food. The coleslaw wasn't bad either. I'll be back. The staff was nice to me. Some people just expect to get their ass kissed. Not me. Lol. Semper fi. read more

I had better bar b Que in Victoria. When you walk in this place you don't know where to go.Not a friendly place at all.Staff don't say two words to you.Not worth the trip. read more

They're food is mediocre. Most of the time the person at the counter doesn't use gloves, kind of makes you disgusted. They also put your bun on their, what seems to look like a counter that hasn't been cleaned in months. I get grossed out every time I'm invited there. Just a tad on the greasy side! read more

Sausage is the best. Beans are not on my taste. Ribs and brisket were ok. The place is nice and friendly and open more than neighbouring restaurants! BRING YOUR OWN BEER! read more

This is one of those places you had to grow up around to appreciate, the food is some of the best around. They are known for their bbq, burgers, big daddy burgers and bigger daddy burgers. They have some lf the best cfs in calhoun county. Don't expect any help when you get in here as this is a locals place. But still great read more

I just love lu Bing close by whites bbq there ribs are delicious and there's so much to choose from that it's hard to pick.

Upon entering the building I noted a "Register Closed Go To Other Side" sign in front of the register. I walked to the other end of the line that appeared to be the line to order in which ended up being a salad bar. Stood there about 5 minutes. Nobody even looked at me. Only 4 people at 1 table when I walked in. Asked them, do I sit down or what? They pointed me through a DARK doorway into a room that was extremely HOT where there was a counter with a glass window in the front that was so fogged up you could not even begin to see what was behind it. I did finally find a menu on the wall behind them, placed my order and stood there along with about a dozen others who all appeared as confused as I was. I finally caught a lady in a DQ shirt that was cleaning a table and was told to go ahead and sit down and they would bring it out. Both my wife and I had ordered Chopped Beef Sandwich, fries and a drink After about 15 minutes we were brought 2 sandwiches. No drink, no fries. Asked about them, was then given 2 glasses and 1 order of fries. Had to wander around the room to find Ketchup, silverware and straws. The Chopped Beef was extremely dry and tasted slightly burnt. When we got through I went back to where we ordered and asked where we were supposed to pay. The lady asked, "oh, you haven't paid yet" I then explained the problems as stated above. She told me that they were short handed and it "WASN'T THEIR FAULT". I said, ok, it's not your fault? I guess it's mine for coming in here, don't worry, it won't happen again! read more

Not sure what the others are saying regarding poor service and dirty looks from this place. My hubby and I went here while on vacation, and everyone in the place was friendly and helpful, including the other customers . The food was so good we went here 2 nights in a row! The fried pickles are GREAT! If you are anywhere near here, don't pass this place up!!!! read more

The BBQ is pretty good and catfish is good too but the people working here are so rude. I went in once and a young girl took my order but didn't charge me yet because she got busy. Then another woman came from around back and asked the girl if I paid yet and she said, "no". So she asked me to pay and when I go my card out and was handing it to her the other woman told the girl who was about to take my card that I can wait because her friend, who was in line behind me, needed to place his order. So instead of taking my card that I was trying to give her, the woman told the girl to go tend to another customer while I stand there waiting. read more
