Meh. Wings are tiny and bland. A pound turns out to be 11 small wings. We've made better in our air fryer at home. My fried chicken sandwich with cheese , lettuce tomato and pickle is ok. But it's a flat , I'm sure frozen piece on just a regular hamburger bun. Service was friendly and dining room is clean. Food is just run of the mill. read more

I'm honestly surprised this place is still in business. It's average to mediocre at best and there are better places to go to in the area. Every time I've eaten here and I probably eaten here six times.. I've done so because I didn't want to drive far. Overall the food seems to all be basic Frozen Cisco food truck items... They will fill your belly but they are not meals to be remembered. The ambiance I would say kind of sucks.... Service is usually good with friendly people. read more

I haven't had a single thing to eat from Bubba's that I didn't absolutely enjoy! Give me the philly cheesesteak every day for the rest of my life, and we'll be on good terms. It's my go to. The funny thing is, I didn't also expect to find the best salad in Burnsville - but I did. When I wanted a fresh, crisp salad that tasted like it was cut and prepared when I ordered it - I only found that at Bubba's. If that's not what they're doing, do not tell me otherwise. Service has always been exceptional and friendly. The atmosphere is equally family-friendly and the decor is supportive of local sports, and our industries. This is the neighborhood place. And unless you are going off hours, it's always packed and there's as much seating as it can accommodate, but that's not a whole lot. So, I'm always picking up and eating at home. I am a local now, I'd love to join the locals here, I'm just not sure when I'd do that, and as a solo-flyer, I'd be robbing people of valuable food real estate. Maybe in the Spring, more people will be eating outside and I can find a seat. Right now, that fifth star is on hold until I can experience the atmosphere first hand during a meal. read more

Idk where to begin... these may be the best cheese curds I've had, the grilled chicken sandwich or "Bubba's chicken sanwich" was on point. The Philly Chicken was very good, they are a true NC institute with Cheerwine and Duke's mayonnaise. They represent the county Highschool also, so much pride in their town. On a recent trip to run away from home, I found myself with my son and significant other in Burnsville, NC looking for Price's General Store, since the TRUE general store my Dad ran when I was a kid has all but closed down thanks to Walmart and Target. Anyway, another story, another time. Since the general store only sold cold sandwiches, my stomach wanted more than a bologna sandwich, I started looking for a place to eat and after stopping at one restaurant only to find out it was closed for the Labor Day holiday, came across Bubbas Good Eats on Yelp and decided that was the way to go, plus they were open. Not only were we impressed with the food, the staff was very down home and made you feel like you were at home. I had the BBQ Sandwich with their homemade fries (shoestring potatoes) with a choice of side. The picture I took was way more than a sandwich and ended up in a to go box. My done got the Philly cheesesteak with Ghost Pepper Cheese Sauce that lived up to its name of furry hot and spicy . Our other partner had chicken teriyaki and it honestly looked and tasted like a dish from a fine dining restaurant. Overall, this place was great to come to if you don't know what you want but you want a good meal for a fair price. Drove by several times over the last day or so! Thought I would stop in for a late lunch! Greeted as soon as I walked in, cute place very friendly staff! You can tell they are a hometown place that supports their community! Ordered the Brisket and ribs combo, food came out pretty quick, obviously too quick! Brisket was barely room temp, ribs were down right cold! Waitress was very apologetic and took them back to get them heated. They made up for it with a free dessert, blackberry cobbler, that was yummy and pretty warm! If I come to town again I'll give them another chance! read more

I was bicycling in the area and asked a local where to eat since the first place I stopped was closed today. She recommended Bubba's and I glad she did. I had a great grilled onion Swiss burger today. Service was very good and prompt. Fries were hot. The server made sure I got refills of tea as needed. The place was busy with locals, people passing through, some local deputies as well as families. Nice setting with lots of local sports memorabilia on the walls. The staff were hustling to clear tables to serve those coming in. I will stop in when I'm back in the area. read more

We were on a foliage viewing outing from E TN and when I saw a place named Bubba's, I had to try it. We were not disappointed. The food was great, tho the restaurant is set up like a fast food joint. You walk in, take a menu to your table, then order at the counter, and wait for your food to be brought to you, and fetch your own drinks. Anyway, the food was spot on. My flounder sandwich was hot, perfectly seasoned and breaded lightly so you could tell it was flounder and not catfish, and even the tartar sauce was really tasty. I also had a brisket quesadilla, and my only negative comment on the food was it could have used more cheese, but the meat was very tasty, as was the salsa, even. My dining partner had sweet chili seasoned wings and she really enjoyed them, and commented they were cooked right, nice and crispy buy still juicy, and tasted like they were cooked in the seasoning. The girl at the counter who took or order came by several times to ask if we needed anything ad if the food was ok. She was really the only staff we dealt with, but she was friendly and had a smile the whole time we were there. It's a small place, but there were several family groups while we were there and everyone left with smiles. I don't know why there is no wait staff, but honestly, it was a bit of a relief for me, because I can get impatient waiting for service, and the drink station was just a few steps away. I will recommend them to my riding club, as the area is a popular destination for motorcyclists. read more

My husband and I drove from Asheville to see our Veteran friend receive a Hero Quilt. He recommended we eat at Bubba's. He knew all the staff and they promptly greeted him and he introduced us to the owners and a few of the staff members. They immediately treated us like family. I ordered the flounder sandwich with Bubba fries, my husband had the Jalapeño Cheddar Burger with steak fries and our friend had the Philly Cheese Steak, with several side dishes. The flounder was delicious, however the bun was big, so I ended up eating the flounder and leaving most of the bun. The Bubba fries were shoestring type fries and delicious. The husband said it was the best hamburger he had eaten in quite awhile - the hamburger meat cooked to perfection and the steak fries were tasty. My friend agreed his Philly Cheese Steak and side dishes were all delicious, as he bragged about the food always being on target. To end the meal I decided to splurge on the peach cobbler, as our waitress bragged that it was delicious and home made. I questioned was it made from fresh peaches or canned peaches - she promised me they were fresh peaches. It is peach season and I believe she was correct - tasted truly home made and the large scoop of vanilla ice cream made it all the more delicious. The restaurant is nicely decorated with their local sport team's theme deco. You can tell these are hometown people that really support their community. Our waitress was amazing - kept our drinks filled and made sure everything was OK and that we didn't need anything. Wish I had gotten her name. If you're in Burnsville, try this place. Visited Bubba's on a trip through Burnsville with friends and wasn't disappointed. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. When we asked about activities in the area the manager even came out to sit with us at our table and chat about all she knew. The food is pretty basic home style cooking (bbq, steak and potatoes), hearty and warm. My friend ordered the brisket and it tasted good but again was dry and the portion he received was child size and didn't even cover the slice of bread it was served on. My dad got a Bases loaded burger which had coleslaw, and chilli added. He said it was awesome, and reeeeeeaal good. The coleslaw on the burger was unexpectedly delicious. I got a Mushroom and Swiss burger, which is the first time I have tried this type.  It was probably one of the best I've had. The mushrooms weren't a strong component, but would fill your mouth with exquisite taste throughout the meal. I've been to Bubba's a few times, alone and with my lady towing me along, and have never had a bad experience. The first thing I notice is the attitude of the staff. The crew here is always smiling and friendly, and very helpful. My wife chose Bubba's for lunch. We arrived after the lunch rush, so the dining room was pleasantly quiet. Service was prompt, just what you expect from a small town restaurant. Number one selected the Carolina burger - topped with chili and slaw, sided with one of her favorites, sweet potato fries. I opted for the Fired Up Chicken, a grilled breast dipped in hot sauce with cole slaw for my side. The Carolina burger was well done, cooked as my lady likes it. The chili was a bit sparse (we're used to a dripping, messy portion), but the slaw was quite good. And those sweet potato fries? To die for. The frying was right on, the outsides of the lattice cut fries crispy, with a fluffy inside. CInnamon sugar and honey were provided to drizzle over the top. Good? Oh yes. My Fired Up Chicken was a perfectly cooked breast, not a shoe leather tough, overcooked that I many times get. Props to the cook for this one. I went with plain old slaw (a favorite) but jazzed it up with a healthy shot of Texas Pete. That's the way to do it. Then I mixed up a bit of house barbeque sauce with Texas Pete and dunked a few of the sweet potato fries in, much to my wife's disgust. Sometimes her taste baffles me (not really, she's the normal one by a long way). Will we go back? Definitely. Bubba's is a treat for those wandering the mountains and for locals alike. Stopped in on a drive through the area and Yelp reviews and menu drew us in. We had ribs, brisket sandwich and lemon pepper sautéed shrimp. The ribs were smoked very well, although the rub is sweeter than I am used to. The brisket sandwich was excellent as was the shrimp. Pork rinds were the real deal.
