This was our first time here and it was incredible! Got seated after 30 minutes (was told that was the wait time and agreed to it.) Our server Mel came right away to us which was great. Drinks and appetizer came quick and our wait for our food was good too. Not long at all! She took care of us and was super sweet. Definitely asking for her next time we go. After moving halfway across country this place was the pick me up we needed! We shared the garlic knots to start. OH MY GOD. Between the garlic, butter, and cheese to dip in, we were in HEAVEN. He got a nice tall cold beer and the buffalo chicken pizza (which was just as tasty the next day as leftovers!). I got a Tito's Mule (perfect) and the mild buffalo wings which hit the spot! Although next time I may have to go for a little bit spicier flavor. The music choices were on point! Some nostalgia, so current, all sorts of genres and very fun! Bubba's 33 is by far the best restaurant I've been too here in San Antonio, TX. I've lived here my whole life and this is the first but definitely not the last time I'm gonna eat here with my family. My boyfriend and I decided to go to Bubba's 33 because I was in the mood for a great burger and this place had good reviews. We arrived around 8:00pm on Saturday night and there was about a 30-45min wait for the two of us. We opted to to grab a drink at the bar while we waited for our table to be ready, and that's the reason for the loss of one star. One bartender was making drinks for the tables in the main seating area and then the other was taking care of the people at the bar. The one taking care of us at the bar was making his way around the bar one area at a time instead of continuously scanning to make sure no one needed anything. We had to wait for him to make his way around the whole bar before we could order anything else. That was annoying because it was like he had tunnel vision and we couldn't even get his attention. Once we were seated, however, everything was exceptional. Our waitress, Michelle, was great. She was very attentive without hovering over us the whole time and she was just an overall fantastic server. The food was great as well. I had the Sunshine burger and it was juicy and delicious. My boyfriend had the Philly cheesesteak. He said it was great too, he just wished the meat-to-bread ratio was a little better. Other than the annoying bar service, this place was exceptional! Great service from the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is amazing as well. The kids loved it. They had the 12' cheese pizza which was perfect for them, they got 3 slices each, we also had wings 3 buffalo and 3 hot those were good too. I had the shrimp po boy, I had been wanting to try it so bad, it was delicious just too tangy for me, but the portion was awesome, it was literally filled with shrimp! It was great. First time visiting, the atmosphere was nice, I recommend sitting in the open seating section, if possible in order to avoid the wait. Our waitress was friendly, and the service was good. We had dinner and drinks. Everything was fresh hot and tasty, except for the fried pickles. At first too salty, but once they cooled off, they were ok with a lot of ranch dressing, the crooked fried cheese was a very good appetizer! Our plates consisted of the fish and chips, double bacon burger, grilled ribeye and buffalo chicken sandwich. The servings were plentiful and excellent! We could not finish the plates, that's how hearty the servings were! The drinks consisted of Guinness (no tap), American (red,white and blue) margaritas and also pink ladies. My family and I were visiting San Antonio for a little family vacation and upon arriving we passed Bubba's. So we checked into our hotel and immediately came back to grab some dinner. Our waitress was amazing in giving us their top items and her personal favorites. We got an appetizer to split their amazing dip. I got the chicken tenders and my husband got the bacon cheeseburger. So good! We were gonna go again during our stay but unfortunately had to head to Houston early. I highly recommend! We got seated in the bar, very nice atmosphere and tv's all around. Our waiter was very friendly and never rushed us. We stayed for like 3 hours drinking. The draft beers were a little pricey for me, compared to other restaurants. The food was good though. We ordered fried pickles which were nice crispy, and sour. The dip that came with it was very good as well. We both ordered the south of the border burger, which if I remember correctly came with chorizo and queso blanco cheese. The burgers were great and cooked perfectly to a medium well. French fries were thin and light with pepper, also good. I will definitely come back as I've heard the wings are great here too. Visited here with the family since we were in town for the weekend. Very convenient since the hotel was just next door. The wait was a little long but it was a Friday night. Ordered an appetizer that our server forget to enter so that was unfortunate since I was looking forward to it. He stated he forgot. But he gave good service. But our meal was delicious chicken tenders and fries(little heavy on the seasoning), mushroom Swiss burger which was really really good and a kids pizza. Strawberry lemonade was also really good! Came here with some co-work friends for drinks on a Friday around 3:30. They have open seating in the bar area (they call the garage) or you can get a booth on the opposite side of the restaurant. I noticed there was a lot of family with kids, although I came for just drinks there are a lot of families with kids just coming for dinner. The inside is decorated nicely (kind of like a game room vibe) and TVS! Whatever you want to watch they have a TV with it on. I think I counted at least 10 tvs all on different stations. My review is just for the drinks since I didn't get any food. A small draft beer was $5.25. I'm not usually a big one to be out for drinks all the time, but I felt that was a bit high for draft at 3:30 on a Friday. When I left about 6pm the place was packed with people waiting outside even. We did have a large party of about 14, but they only have one long table to sit everyone, and we didn't want to wait for the other party to leave. So, they sat us in multiple booths, which is ok I suppose. I ordered a double sunshine burger, and it was amazing! However, unless you have a huge appetite, just order the single. Each patty is 1/2 lb. The fries were not overly fried, and seasoned just a bit. The pizza (which I got free for registering with them online) was great! Crust fairly thin, but had a buttery crunch on the edges. My wife got the best Ribeye she's ever had (probably because the CEO is the same person as Texas Roadhouse). Beers were in what looked like 32oz mugs. All in all, a very good burger and pizza place, with TVs all around. Highly recommend! read more

As soon as I walked in I loved the atmosphere. There were at least 30 TVs I could see. Sports, crazy videos and music videos playing the sound. Everyone was very friendly and our waitress Isabel made me feel very welcome. She was so nice and let us know how great things about the menu. We ordered the half order onion rings that came with a tangy sauce and our waitress also brought out extra ranch. Hubby had the fish and chips while I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with cheese, bacon, tomato and avocado, nice thin cut fries. The onion rings were hand dipped and fried. Lots of booths which I love and they have a place called the garage where there is open seating. The waitstaff wears great tshirts. Loved them so much I bought one. They have ones with v neck and tailored for a woman's body, plus it was on sale for 15.00 dollars. Can't wait to go watch when the Spurs or some other great sport event is happening. We attempted to eat at this restaurant on a Friday night but the wait was over 90 minutes so we returned on a Sunday afternoon and were welcomed without a wait. Service: The hostesses were friendly and attentive. Our server was super nice, our glasses were never empty, and she checked on us frequently. Atmosphere: It is definitely a typical sports bar... loud, and full of tvs playing sports everywhere you look. The bar has garage doors on 2 sides which can be opened completely in nice weather and there are two sets of corn hole available on the patio. Food: Chicken sandwich: Perfectly moist and cooked to perfection. Sweet potato fries: Not as crunchy as I prefer but they were very good. Wedge Salad: It wasn't bad but nothing special about it either. Bubbas Bacon Burger: AWESOME! Tasted flame grilled, moist with a ton of flavor. Philly cheese Steak: Tender ribeye with veggies caramelized to perfection, great flavor. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals and will be returning in the future....Just not on a busy Friday or Saturday night. read more
