Ordered take out online and one of the orders was missing side sauces that we ordered. We also ordered loaded curly fries with ground beef. We received an order of curly fries with queso as well as an additional order of curly fries with queso and ground beef. I am not one to complain about an additional order but....The ground beef was super salty, so salty in fact that I couldn't eat it as the queso was also salty. Such a disappointment. In addition, we ordered a burrito bowl, quesadilla with ground beef, and a burrito. Now I'm sure you'll know what I'm going to say about the quesadilla....SALTY! The white rice in the orders was overcooked and mushy. The brown rice was fine though. All in all, we will not be returning. Way too much salt for our liking. read more

Most disgusting place I've ever been in. Shrimp on the floor. The woman who was supposed to be working didn't come out for 5 minutes and was on FaceTime with a man. All meat was also so raw I couldn't get a picture because I ran out. I go to bubbakoos down the jersey shore all the time and never have had a bad experience. This is the ultimate "Stoner Food" joint.....and with New Jersey well on it's way to legalizing marijuana timing could not be any more perfect. On to the food.... Well It's not very good....filling and salty.....but not very good. I had 2 burritos so far. Buffalo chicken{Breaded chicken tenders deep fried and doused in salty "buffalo" sauce with the works where the works is your typical fixings you're familiar with if you've ever patronized a Chipolte. And the carnitas{pretty decent but hard to actually taste with less than 3 ounces in a burrito that would ultimately weigh in at almost 16 ounces} Yeah this thing is stuffed but all you get is flavors of the fillers not the featured proteins.....so great for you pot head vegans out there. The "Chiwawa" is a Frankensteinish breaded and deep fried rice ball literally punched into submission and then topped again with all of your favorites....this thing a brick! and while novel, is just a carb bomb waiting to incapacitate you hopefully in close proximity to a banyo. The taco salad is probably your best bet if the taco bowl is fresh, stay away from the tots and wings unless you wish an immediate spike in your blood pressure as the sauces are so salty as to be inedible. Service is excellent as the kids try hard to please their customers and outdoor dining is popular, actually the only thing missing would be a dispensary/ head shop and a Vans outlet in Applegarth plaza to insure "Bubba's" continued success in this venue but as for right now I don't foresee a bright future unless they up their quality,quantity and seasoning. Nice looking place. Looks too trendy for the strip mall that it's in. Jalapeño poppers came fresh out of the freezer and lacked much taste. Sriracha pork was simply pulled pork that they squeeze the sauce on from a bottle. Ghost pepper chicken was also just ok. I might opt for wawa next door for a quick lunch or head to Maria's if it's Mexican food that I'm craving. read more

We had ordered from here through door dash. We ordered the nachos, tacos and chips, rice and beans, and the build your own quesadilla. For dessert we ordered the fried Oreos! The food was outstanding and very fresh! We will definitely be back! read more

This is the second time trying Bubbakoos and, issues both times, will not be going there again. Chipotle opened not too far from here and that's where I will take my business. Decided to try them again, my husband got home, we were missing an empanada and my bowl had zero chicken in it... aside from the fact that the bowls looked hardly filled. Yes, I know it's hard to find good help... but when orders aren't double checked and the food is just sorry looking compared to your competitor a mile away.... We had done a doordash order. The food was awful! I got three "hard shell" tacos. They were wilted and tasted old. They also were dumped into the side chips (which were also old tasting) so my taco toppings (which weren't even all I had ordered) were on top of the chips. I ended up throwing all of it away because it was just a soggy mess. The tater tots my partner ordered were not cooked all the way through (you could taste crunchy potato). I love the location on rt. 9 so I decided to try this new one close to home. well. unfortunately not all bubbakoos are the same. I was very disappointed. granted I know they haven't been open long but its still no excuse for the "slop I received." The steak burrito bowl I ordered was in a word ick. The grilled steak which was very little had already been previously cooked so it sat in a warmer, which made it rubbery. There were things I didn't want in my bowl but the kid couldn't hear me and ended up putting it on. It was also more expensive then my fave location. For a place that is newly opened it was already dirty. The chaos that ensued was aggravating. Will I go back? yes. To this location? No. The menu is smaller than other locations, granted it just opened and menu is limited, I get that. Maybe my expectations were too high bc of other location. Who knows, but it has turned me off to this place. So if you do check in to see what its all about, proceed with caution. read more

Second time back to the Applegarth Rd. location and disappointed again. Everyone was friendly and service was fine but food quality was the issue. I ordered the grilled chicken nachos and the chicken was both overcooked and very hard. Although all the other ingredients were good and plentiful the chicken ruined the meal. My wife got the pork and it too was over cooked and dried out. We think the meat had been sitting in the serving pans too long and not rotated or replaced. Lastly, tried to use the app to order and when we got to the payment section it wouldn't work or allow you to change the payment type. This is actually good in one way. I was able to walk in, order and leave faster than the time it said we would have to wait for the online order. Not sure if I'm gonna give this location a third try but we'll see. Maybe I'll be desperate enough and want Mexican food to take the chance. Last time I had an issue the manager said to contact corporate with the problem that occurred. I did exactly that and 3 follow-ups later, still no response or acknowledgement. I guess corporate doesn't care about the customer enough to be bothered to discuss complaints read more

Was initially really happy to have the opportunity to try this place but it was all regret from there. I ordered a bowl with marinated grilled chicken an extra add on of the fajita vegetables. I received my bowl and there was no marinated grilled chicken. I noticed that the seasoned rice was not seasoned at all it was just plain white rice, a little on the mushy side. The fajita vegetables that I added on were a waste of money... 1 piece of pepper and pieces of fried onion. The whole bowl was cold... not lukewarm... cold. For the price that was paid, there should have been chips and salsa included. My coworker ordered a bowl as well and it was also cold, with unseasonably white rice. These guys did a good enough job with my delivery order. Boneless buffalo wings were similarly shaped triangles swimming in franks. The burrito I ordered had everything I requested except the sour cream. The jalapeno were very fresh and crunchy, so a big pop of spicy in there. The steak quality was poor. A friend picked up dinner from here and mine was delicious. Everything was fresh and the combinations of flavors was excellent. When I was driving by decided to stop by rather than order on line. When I told the associate at the counter that it was first time there and I didn't know what to do, three associates came to the counter and told me they would help. Even with masks on, you could tell they were smiling. They were so personable and so pleasant. When I got in my car, I could see them helping the next customer with checking out on the credit card machine. My dinner was fresh and filling but the kindness of the staff will definitely have me returning there. read more

I wish I could give this place "0 stars". AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. I ordered this for lunch for a me and some of the girls in my office... to try and simplify this as much as possible: We placed the order at 11:45 online, the order was confirmed and told us it would be delivered by 12:30. At 1pm the food was not here so we called the restaurant for an update and were told it was "on the way". By 1:45 it was STILL not here. We called again and were AGAIN told it was "on the way". I finally called about 2:50 PM and explained that we wanted a refund and the food to be remade so it was HOT and i will leave work to come get the food. The manager then proceeded to tell me that the food was "just made and it will be hot and the driver is heading there now" and that they would refund our card. After calling again, 25 minutes later because THE FOOD STILL WASNT HERE and we are 2 miles away from the restaurant, we were once again told the food should be here and the refund was issued. We got the food over 3 HOURS PAST expected delivery time, and it was ICE COLD. Which we expected, and why i wanted to pick it up, but we were told it was "just made". It has been 2 weeks now and we never received the refund on our card, even though the manger told me when i called to check on the refund that it was "the banks fault". I was not the banks fault, the bank does not even see the transaction refund issued. In short- unless you like cold, food, being lied to, and awful customer service... GO SOMEWHERE ELSE read more

Let me start this by saying, I think how long did I have to work for the meal I am paying for, if the meal is worth my time and money, then I write a positive review, if not then I write what I experienced, so here goes... as I was waiting in line, watching the food be made for the 2 people in front of me, I thought the person making the order was skimping a lot on the vegs and meat. I then watched her add corn, I heard the container being empty and she was only dishing out, maybe 1/5 a scoop on the 1st part of there order, then on the 2 nd part, she scraped the container and maybe got another 1/5 of less onto the scooper and added the remaining to his dish (I am thinking , boy this is going to be interesting!!) now it is my turn and the manager is making my 2 orders, he scoops the ground beef into my shells, 1 barely has any meat and the other 2 have slightly more, I tell him, is that all the meat your going to put in them? he says if I want to pay for extra meat, he can put more, I STATED I AM NOT PAYING OVER $3 a toco for that little bit of meat and NO , I am not paying more, for what I should get i the first place, after we go round and round, he then adds more meat (while telling me they normally charge more for extra meat) we were so excited to get a toco place in our area, instead of Taco Bell (BUT FOR THE PRICE THESE PEOPLE CHARGE) I would drive to TACO bell anytime I want a toco (but this wont be to often either) Just have to continue making this type of food at home.
