Fantastic host, server, and food. They even treated us to a song and treat for our anniversary! We shared the Run Sampler and it was perfect post matinee show!

As a member of Landry's Select, I usually come here to celebrate my birthday. On this visit, my friends and I shared the forest seafood feast which consists of fish & chips, fried shrimp, seafood hush puppies, fries, coleslaw, tartar sauce, remoulade sauce, and cocktail sauce. The food was tasty and fresh. We chose the feast because it has a great variety of items to devour. For $29.99, I thought it was pricey, but given that the location is in Times Square, we were expecting to pay a premium than in other locations. We also got two drinks that came with souvenir glasses. One was a margarita and the other was a tiki punch. My friend also ordered a forest appletini which was one of the seasonal drinks on offer. Overall, I think it's a pretty decent option for a small birthday celebration. Our waiter, Jeffrey, was super nice and seemed like he was on some chemical substances lol.

Came here with a big group (52), and they do great w big groups! The meals are pretty standard American dishes. I opted for the veggie pasta, that was basically spaghetti and steamed broccoli and fresh cherry tomatoes. It wasn't the best quality but it was fine. Jeremy was our waiter and he was great! The servers end up doing forest gump trivia, which was great for our group. Fun themed restaurant that makes me want to watch forest gump again, but of all places in NYC, I would opt for something else.

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. restaurant is located in the heart of Times Square. The food here is good, delicious Southern Comfort Food. The Fried Chicken, Fried Shrimp, Corn on the Cob, French Fries, Macaroni & Cheese & dipping sauces were all delicious & well seasoned. The 2nd Fl. walk-up is a casual, dim lit, enormous, comfortable space with booths, wood decor & old time ads & photos on the walls. Great place for very large groups & families. So if you're sightseeing or shopping in the area, come on in for some southern home cooking comfort food.

Wow, what an experience! We find it comical to say that the folks working here were the friendliest people we have encountered on our entire trip! I didn't catch the name of the lady that greeted us at our table initially, but she was great (I think management?), and our waiter Jeremy was awesome! We didn't have much time because we had a show, so we got two appetizer - shrimp cocktail and chips and queso. Both were YUM. I love the cold glass the shrimp cocktail is served in. I also tried the Rum Forrest Rum drink, also yummy and you get to take the glass! (Well, a new one from the gift shop) We had gone to another restaurant first, that was SLAMMED, which is how we ended up here. I'm so glad we did, I love a good Bubba Gump's, but this one was superior.

The food is good, nothing out of this world. But you get your moneys worth. Serving size is decent. You can not leave without trying the gumbo. It was the best item we received. The staff is very kind with Trying to get your order in quickly and getting it out so you can catch a show.

The food was OK. My chicken was dry. The fries were good. The service was a little pushy and I felt uncomfortable. The only really good thing about this restaurant is the ambiance. I love the quotes on the wall. I hate to have to leave such a low review for a restaurant based on a movie this good.

Due to the convenience of the location to time square. This place could really get crowded! Not really that stroller friendly. The elevator space is tight. Souvenir shop below and line for the restaurant upstairs is long. But place is huge! Clean and neutral smelling restroom. Wifi is good connection. Parking space is garage nearby. See images and videos below.

Cajun Shrimp doesn't look like the picture menu or represent anything Cajun .

I had the shrimp poboy and the Cajun shrimp. The food was not good bc the Cajun shrimp were well over steamed and chewy. The shrimp are too salty and were not pleasant to eat. They do have a salt content warning on a some dishes but if you have to put a warning on the menu, you should make a change. Shrimp was also bland and poop shoot was still attached. Honestly Long John's silver is better but Bubba Gump is a true tourist attraction. If Now I know you don't go for the food. Also we ate a couple of shrimp but did not finish the dishes. Wait staff was great but I wouldn't go back.

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. is located in the heart of Times Square, with the restaurant on the second floor offering some nice views of the area. The gift shop on the first floor is fun to explore while waiting for a table. We went as a party of three and naturally, stuck with the shrimp theme. We started with the Shrimper's Net Catch flavored with half garlic and half Cajun, which was a flavorful and satisfying appetizer. The New England clam chowder was creamy and well seasoned. For entrées, we had the Shrimper's Heaven, Jambalaya, and the Crab and Shrimp Boil. The Jambalaya was especially memorable as it was packed with flavor and cooked just right. Has a good amount of spice that builds up, so be warned! The ambiance is casual and fun, with Forest Gump themed décor throughout the space that adds to the experience. Our waitress, Danielle, was amazing. She was perfectly attentive without being overbearing, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Great spot if you're craving seafood in a lively, themed setting with friendly service.

Went with a big group, the salad was quite enjoyable but I found the flavor of my food to be lacking. The spaghetti had little sauce and the meatballs were a bit dry. But the service was incredible thanks to our waitress Caroline, she was very fun and engaging with our table. I'd recommend to any fans of Forrest Gump despite some of the food being mediocre. The workers in the gift shop area were also very helpful and friendly.

This review took me a while to write because I was not sure exactly what to say. We visited this location on June 6, 2025. I have been to Bubba Gump, specifically this location, several times. This is one of my favorite restaurants and up until my last visit I had great experiences. Great experiences to the point where I signed up for a Landry's card after speaking with one of the managers about my upcoming bachelorette trip. This is my favorite restaurant, I specifically seek out Bubba Gump while on trips and go to this location whenever I am in the city. Since I went for the first time in 2014, I had not had a bad experience until my bachelorette trip. I spoke with a manager months before, and it's not that I expect them to remember what they said specifically to me, but I'd imagine that the VIP card I signed up for would have the same expectations at every restaurant. We had called earlier in the day to ask for the shrimp to come out in costume. We understood it was a hot day, but just wanted a quick photo with the shrimp after being told ahead of time this was possible. It was hot and we understand being in the costume in the heat, but we should not have been told day of that we could have the shrimp come out when this was not an opportunity for us. It truly all starts early in the day, we were advised to call to see if the shrimp costume was possible, and from the moment we reached out it felt like we were an issue. We had a reservation, set ahead of time, and called ahead to confirm everything. When we arrived it was 2 out of 6 of us, we checked in and asked to sit at the car while we waited for the remainder of our party. The hostess was very dismissive, not necessarily rude, but definitely made it feel that we were not wanted. The wonderful bartender (Katy) helped us and was honestly the best part of our visit. As the rest of the part arrived they were yelled at by wait staff while heading to the bar area. This was very stressful for some of them as they assumed everything was fine, seeing as two of us were already in the bar area. Once we got to our seats, service became worse. I understand the point of the restaurant is to do the 'run forest run' and 'stop forest stop' when needing wait staff but when our waitress initially came over this was briefly explained and she walked away without engaging in any further conversation. I have never had this type of experience here. The attitude of the waitstaff and hostesses made us feel very unwelcome, as the bride, I was scared to ask for things that I had previously spoke with managers about. By the end of the meal we were just trying to get out of the restaurant as we felt we were causing a huge disturbance. I'd love to tell you we were rowdy, but we are a very calm group, and it was approximately 6:00 pm. When the meal came to an end, our waitress came over with a shot of clear liquor (not sure what kind) and an ice cream sandwich. Unfortunately I am lactose intolerant. She casually said 'is the bride with you guys?' Before dropping the items at the table. At the end of our meal, I presented my Landry's card with the bill, the manager came over and presented me with cookies to thank me for being a Landry's member. This was a super disappointing experience for me, we were trying to work with the restaurant to make this work but we are not sure what went wrong along the way. It makes me very hesitant to return as I don't want to feel as if I am a nuisance.

Stopped in for dinner while showing some friends around time square. We worried surprised there was no wait to be seated. They have really great views of timesquare from the tables upstairs. Coconut shrimp is always my go-to at bubba gump but I decided to try something new and got the shrimp rolls and ceviche. The rolls were big with lots of shrimp meat. I just thought it was missing a little bit of some warm better for that extra flavor. The ceviche was delicious, the chips were made fresh. I decided not to get a cocktail and opted for coffee instead which was surprisingly really good. Service was great! We've all been to other bubba gump locations before so we already knew the "rules." Definitely would come back next time I'm in the city.

This is exactly the kind of place that works well when you need something fast but still high quality. Service stood out. Jeanine was excellent; she quickly understood our time constraint, guided us to the right dishes, and kept everything moving without making it feel rushed. At one point we accidentally put a plastic menu over a lit candle, and she handled it immediately and made the moment feel light rather than awkward. The atmosphere was lively and full; the place was packed, but it still felt organized rather than chaotic. The bar looked well stocked, and the overall ambience worked well for a pre-train, Times Square-adjacent stop. Food was solid, with a few standouts. The salmon tartare with sesame crackers was excellent; clean, fresh, and well balanced. Jeanine recommended the shrimp avocado sliders, and that was the right call; they were outstanding. Happy hour oysters were fresh and well balanced. Littleneck clams were good, though slightly less compelling than the oysters. The fish tacos were good but not particularly memorable. Fried calamari was well executed, though the accompanying sauce could have used a little more flavor. The hot sauce, assuming it is made in house, was excellent and added a much better punch to the seafood. Drinks from the happy hour menu, including the Pink Flamingo and margarita, were good and consistent. I would come back to try more from the main menu. If you like seafood, this is a strong option for the price point and location, especially during happy hour.

The crab curry was so nice and clean and fresh. The crab was so tender, and the curry strong, and went beautifully with the rice. It's actually such a sleeper hit, and we added it onto our order last minute. The steamed branzino was delicious, too - tender, limey, sour, sweet, a little heat - it's got everything!!
