The Laughlin Bubba Gumps has horrible drinks! I had a Pina Colada and my husband had a Cadillac Margarita, and both were watered down. We had to order shots to make the drinks taste like they had liquor in them. The food was not much better! It is not worth the money you spend. Due to the time differences between Arizona and Nevada we were 1 hour early for our reservation. I explained to the hostess and apologized for being early. the hostess said it was not a problem and had a table available for us and we were seated straight away. We ordered the Far out dip which was great tasing with the chips. My son ordered the Ribeye steak and he said it was fantastic he also enjoyed the mashed potatoes. I ordered the forest Seafood feast to get a gaming of everything starting with the hushpuppies they were great moist crunchy awsome. the Tempura fish was great tasting and the shrimp with the dipping sauces were great too. Definitely not impressed with this location. I have been to the one on the LV Strip as well as Universal Studios and they were great. First off they have a really scaled down menu. There were alot of non-shrimp options such as steak and chicken. We got the shrimp mac and cheese for an appetizer and that was good. For entrees we got the Shrimpers Heaven which consisted of coconut shrimp, tempura shrimp and fried shrimp and fries. Not as many shrimp as I thought there would be. The huge disappointment was the Bourbon St. Mahi Mahi. I have attached a picture. When she sat it down in front of me, I was shocked. The fish looked like frozen store bought shrimp, not like how fresh fish should look. It tasted like it was frozen as well. The dish comes with shrimp.....3 of them. I was expecting more. The only good thing about this place is that you get to keep the souvenir cups when you order a drink. We ordered our drinks and got them pretty quickly but after a couple sips my date noticed there was a fly in his drink. We looked all around and our waitress was nowhere to be found so we flagged down a waiter walking by and we told him what was wrong. We never even heard an apology. The first thing out of his mouth was that since the weather was changing they were getting a lot of water nats and he walked away and had the bartender make a new drink. Food was ok, nothing too special about it. My date's shrimp scampi was a little on the cold side and the bacon in my burger was completely cold as if they just pulled a couple strips out of the fridge. Once we got the bill I noticed that they did remove the charge for the drink with a fly in it and charged us for the fresh drink they made him. I asked the waitress about it and she said there was nothing she could do about it. I asked for the manager and he told me that since we drank it, we had to be charged for it and there was nothing he could/would do about it or all the water nats that they get!!!! Even though we only had a light dinner of clam chowder and salad, this turned out to be the high point of a mediocre trip to Laughlin before the Christmas holiday. The atmosphere was great with lots of patrons having a good time (unlike the dead vibe in the casinos and outlet mall we'd visited earlier), and our food was quite tasty - just what we were craving! The chowder was great, and the salads were very fresh with delicious garlic croutons. I had never been to one of these but my fiancée had been to the Long Beach, CA venue. We had to wait but it was worth it to sit outside on the patio that overlooks the river. Service was excellent - good suggestions made, plenty of time to let us decide. When my fiancée's dish had cold broccoli and a shrimp skewer that appeared to have raw shrimp, they popped to and quickly, professionally took care of it - ultimately letting her order something else. Once it arrived, they made sure she was happy and there was no hassle with the final check. The teamwork in service was stellar - I will come back to this location alone for the service. We arrived in Laughlin last night and we were in search of anything but steak for our first nights dinner. We had driven in from San Diego and were super hungry by the time dinner rolled around. Let me just say.... we are so glad we ended up here! We ordered an appetizer of Calamari, dinner was salad, mashed potatoes and fried fish. Every single bite was absolutely delicious! We had chosen blue cheese dressing for our salads and the dressing was amazing! The fish had the perfect amount of batter and was not overly greasy. Our server was Destiny. Destiny was super friendly and accommodating. She made sure we had all of our needs met without being overly in our face. She never let my drink stay empty and brought us extra dressing and lemons without missing a beat of our requests. This was our first time eating at this establishment. Was here the weekend of the 25th for a friend's birthday. Don't sit on the patio at night. We were swarmed by bugs, they were in our food. And honestly the service was horrible from checking in, the hostess didn't even look at us, our waitress seemed irritated when we asked to move further in on the patio( for reference we were out furthest on the patio closest to the water and were literally swarmed by bugs) . Ok, maybe you shouldn't have high expectations just because you LOVED the movie. Bubba wasn't actually there cooking. The staff was friendly, the service was good. The food was...ok. I expected more flavor from this place. My mom started with the clam chowder, which adding some hot sauce said it was pretty good. She's not as critical as me, but we are Mexican and anticipate flavors. I had the burger and fries. Can't really go wrong with that. But if I was blindfolded, I couldn't tell you if it was from Denny's, Applebee's or Bubba Gump. My mom had the accidental fish and shrimp. She got a whopping 3 shrimp (yes, 3 shrimp) and a thin fillet o' fish. I think we counted 4 cherry tomatoes. She added hot sauce, salt, pepper and a dash of hope to her food. She was so disappointed. My wife and I have just moved into the bullhead city Az, Laughlin Nv area. We decided to have a casual date night, and we decided on this restaurant. To our surprise the restaurant was way more than we ever expected. Our reservation was for 8pm we showed up early (7:30pm) and expected to have to wait as we were early. They seated us right away. Our server Adriana was very friendly and personable, she stopped at our table within minutes of us sitting down. Now we come from Maine and normally don't see our server for ten to fifteen minutes after being seated. So that was a very nice change. Adriana explained how the restaurant works with the license plates blue being for we are all set, and red meaning we need something. Each time we flipped the red plate she was there with in moments. The longest wait we had was 3 minutes but it didn't bother us because she stopped to sing Happy Birthday to another guest with the rest of the staff which was amazing as well. The food was some of the best we have ever had, the drinks we ordered were just as amazing as the food. Now if you are looking for a restaurant that has a theme that matches the name look no further, from them playing Forrest Gump, to the pictures from the movie or even the drinks and food being named after characters, or the kids meals being served in Forrest gumps first shrimp boat jenny. We will definitely be back and with the whole family and we will be requesting Adriana when we do. read more

Stopped in town for 1 night and stayed at the Golden Nugget my family and I went to dinner here I didn't mind the 45mins wait 1st off our server was very nice and friendly. Our food wasn't. 1st the appetizer run around America the chicken hush puppies and shrimp was OK the spinach dip was what the dip should taste like but COLD yuck Our dinner came out #1 dish was the Shrimp New Orleans it was cold and overcooked the shrimp rubbery and tuff #2 dish Shrimp scampi was good but not hoy enough and lastly the #3 Crab boil the deal breaker NOT in a good way was bland no flavor the corn and potatoes was like if they just boiled it in unsalted water and then sprinkled on a pinch of Cajon season I asked for garlic butter to maybe salvage or rescue the crab which I love NO LUCK the butter was no garlic butter no flavor just a little salt may have changed things but by then my appetite was gone 2hrs into the whole ordeal waiting time plus BAD FLAVORLESS FOOD $28 dollars for a dish that wasn't worth $10 I would have definitely enjoyed a 10 dollar meal at In&Out across the street. So sad because I have eaten at Bubba Gump on many different occasions but never this disappointing. Ruin the lovely family dinner. We took my best friend here for her birthday dinner on Thursday around 7:30pm. There was only 4 in our group. We were seated right away on the deck like we asked, and they were not very busy. After we were seated the hostess sat 3 more table outside after us, all were parties of 5-8 people. We sat completely Unacknowledged by ANYONE on staff for at least 20mins. While 2 other servers and a bus boy walked past us cleaning tables, running drinks etc. Then there were servers helping 2 of the other tables that had been seated after us. (I found out later, that one of those servers was Also our server.) So I went to find a manger. I found her inside, where there were very few other tables occupied, and explained that I wasn't very happy with the fact that we had been completely ignored for 20mins. and that other tables who came after us had already been helped. It was Very OBVIOUS that she DID NOT CARE, made an excuse about being short staffed, and big parties etc. and told me my server was not even outside at that time, but she would send her out. Finally a few mins later our server Heather, comes over and takes our drink order, doesn't apologize for ignoring us or Anything. We didnt even get WATER for our table until we had been there for almost an hour!... Our food took so long that all the other tables seated outside After us, either already had their food, Or they were LEAVING by the time we got our food. The food was good once we finally got it, but it wasn't even Hot, it def had been sitting for awhile before being brought out to our table. And the salad was the LAST thing out. Its a salad! How does it take longer to make a salad then it does to grill and fry shrimp and fish, and ribs!?! And our server avoided coming to our table to even check in on us like the plague!! And the 'manager' never even came to check on us, Not once! Listen, I understand that things are different right now, and everyone is working with a shorter staff, serving less people and times are weird etc. BUT all of us either work or have worked in restaurants/guest services and this is SO UNACCEPTABLE.
