We are big fans of this theme restaurant, and have been to many locations in California (Southern California- Anaheim, Hollywood, & SF- my hometown), Hawaii (both Maui & Honolulu), and of course, our city, Las Vegas. (A fun fact, the only time we weren't crazy about our food was when we had separate entrees, so we usually split an appetizer, our little guy has a kids meal, and then we split dessert). Although the weather on saturday (day trip to Laughlin) was not ideal, we sat outside overlooking the water and river. The gals put the fire pit on and it made the ambiance even better. I liked it so much better than Lahaina's view (the view of the water was a lot smaller). We got something different than the Run Across America Sampler, so we got the "Forrest Seafood Feast"- hush puppies, fish & chips (seasoned), fried shrimp complete with dipping sauces (we would get this again, too!). Our little man got a chicken finger meal (fries, and blue jello). And we split the big (it's a good size, so bring your appetite) Strawberry Shortcake (ti's been a while since we've gotten that). Everything was yummy. It's a good thing we were walking around after lunch. Service was very good- our server was attentive and got water refills without us having to ask. Atmosphere is always fun here but sitting outside overlooking the river, was so nice. I really enjoyed having lunch there. The inside of the restaurant is huge! The store is small, but lots of location goodies available. The bathroom is just outside of the restaurant in the casino (small, clean, but didn't see a changing station). I would definitely want to sit outside again for lunch the next time we visit. read more

I'm not sure I've ever given a one-star review before, but I AM NOW. This was the most inedible food I've ever eaten. I got the sample platter. The chicken was stringy and flavorless. I had to force myself to try another shrimp, because I thought I would get food poisoning from it. The artichoke dip was blah. The hush puppies were edible. Sitting outside with all the bugs, and a crazy bird, was also enjoyable. I can't understand how this place is still in business. Don't the employees taste this food and tell them they suck? We visited Bubba Gump restaurant during a family vacation. It was a party of 19 including 10 kids. Melissa was our waitress and she was great!!! She had so much patience and was very attentive! She even helped us decide on meal choices and recommended some great drinks. The food was good. I had the po boy which I didn't even take a picture cause I ate it so quickly. My husband and a couple others ordered drinks in some fancy glasses which we learned we were able to take a cup home. There were so many Forrest Gump decorations to take pictures with! The food was pretty good besides me getting a burnt french fry, I had to spit it out. Many of the fries were rock hard. The customer service seemed non-existent. I had to wave down the server every single time I needed her. Once she would come and assist me with I needed (for example, dropping off some ketchup) she would literally book it away from our table. I understand it was busy and she needed to help other tables, but she never ever introduced herself or came by our table on her own (without us having to flag her down) to check on us. My husband and I ate dinner here with friends. My coconut shrimp was not as good as Red Lobster's . This coconut shrimp came with marmalade sauce but no creamy sauce like Red Lobster has. I received a small amount of good cole slaw. I was served lots French fries but they were a bit limp and cool. My clam chowder was so salty I could not eat it. The service was very good. Great food and experience! I loved all the movie reference stuff everywhere, and the food was FANTASTIC!! The service was great, and appetizers and drinks came out quickly. We ordered shrimp cocktail (Best cocktail sauce!), the Bourbon Salmon and the Shrimper's Heaven with seafood hush pups instead of fries. O. M. G. I was really in heaven! Those seafood hush pups are to die for! We were in Laughlin visiting. I wished I had ordered 3-4 DOZEN to take back with me! We were starving from being out on the lake all day and looking forward to Bubba Gums Shrimp, a family tradition as we vacay in Bullhead four or five times a year. It was sooo bad. I had the shrimp scampi, the shrimp had been cooked, frozen then heated up and served and the linguine was rubbery and gross. I was very disappointed with my experience here. I had high hopes since I loved the movie so much but was unsatisfied with their customer service, food quality and cleanliness. The hostess gave us an attitude because she didnt want to seat us with our service dogs. She slammed the menus and silverware down so hard it made the table shake. We then sat there for 20 minutes and no one came to even take our drink order. We had to go find someone before we were even serviced. The small plates they gave us for the spinach artichoke dip were all dirty and greesy. The chicken was dry. The shrimp was rubbery and overcooked and the fries were cold and stale. This was the WORST dining experience I've had in at least a decade. The food was absolutely terrible. I was with a party of 9 and every single person's food was overcooked and/ or cold. We waited over an hour for our food and the restaurant was not too busy at all. Myself and another person in my party were physically I'll after eating the food. On top of that, every person who ordered an alcoholic drink was greatly disappointed that there was ZERO booze in it. I had a " top shelf" Long Island iced tea which was essentially a $14 glass of watered down lemonade. I dine out frequently and am not one to complain over minor issues but this was BAD! I really wish we would have walked out after the food took too long. Instead now I'm suffering from horrible indigestion and paid over $70 of my hard earned money to be sick all night. This restaurant doesn't even deserve 1 star. Within 5 min of us being there, the manager "Dakota", came to us on multiple occasions because of our service dogs not being allowed to be there. She also came to us twice regarding a stroller being moved, and when it was moved she came back and told us to move it again. She also stepped on one of our dogs paws. Intentionally or not, I don't know. This is by far the most terrible restaurant experience I've ever had and the most unwelcoming experience I've ever had. We came here yesterday and since the restaurant next door was an hour and half wait, we came here instead. Located at the Golden Nugget. I love the theme and each Bubba Gump restaurant is sort of unique. I would love the outside patio but didn't realize on cooler days they have heaters and fire pit to keep you warm. During the day, definitely seat outside for the beautiful river view. The food seemed to be an authentic Louisiana style shrimp and seafood. They also have ribs and fried chicken and that's what two people in our group ordered. They said it was just ok. My bf got Coronita and it came with a free drink shaker. Just show your receipt at the store on your way out. The service was on par. She was quick and efficient. If you are a Forest Gump fan this is definitely the place to be. read more

My family has frequented Bubba Gump's for years, but when I say this was the best experience we've ever had here, I mean it! We showed up as a party of 7 and were seated on the patio after a short wait; there are fire pits and heaters on the deck, making everything warm and cozy. Larry, our server, was absolutely stellar. He was so kind and went above and beyond making sure that we were taken care of! The food was fantastic (the jambalaya is a family favorite) and the overall experience was one to remember. This place was a little difficult to find. Walking to the entrance you can look inside. The decor is set as a ocean pier seafood restaurant. A lot of wood and fishing items on the walls. The staff was friendly and greeted both me and Mom at the door. We were seated at a booth, the hostess explained to us about the license plate system. They're two plates on the table. One red if you require someone to stop at your table another blue if you don't need someone to stop. I thought that was a cool feature. I ended up ordering the Po Boy sandwich my mom the Gumbo. The Po boy was ok not worth the price. Gumbo was also ok a little too spicy. For both me and mom the bill came out to $50. More then I would like to pay for mediocre food. I would not be back. It was worth trying out for the experience, but a let down in food quality and price! read more

I have been in Laughlin Nevada many times. Today my parents, myself and a family friend came here for Fathers Day. There are not many places in this little city, near the Colorado River that have a four star rating or higher. My family ate at this restaurant for the very first time, I had Shrimp Polboy Subsandwich with fries and refillable raspberry tea drink. The service was awesome, food is great and the scenery is quite appealing. I recommend this restaurant to everyone. read more

Horrible horrible service. I checked in on this app before 7 o'clock and it said to check in with the hostess before 7:40. I'm staying at the location so I was walking to the restaurant to check in, at 7:20, I received an alert that I was removed from the wait list. When I checked in with the hostess she said they don't take check in's via the app. I then talked to the manager, Misty O, and she said she's the one that removed me from my check in. She apologized and said it was be another hour and a half wait, mind you, I checked in before 7. Insane!! This General Manger was horrible and didn't provide any type of solution for our situation. When I told her that I even left my phone number in the app and should have received a call from them, she had no explanation. Stay away from this location! It's horrible and horribly ran. We went here on our trip to laughlin. The food was good besides the pasta. I 100% recommend the Texas Chicken Sandwich, The Mamas Fried Chicken and Far Out dip. The ping pong chicken pasta was very greasy and way to cheesy to even eat. The chicken was decent and garlic bread was good. Everything else we got was good besides the pasta. We were on the hunt for good seafood. I had been to this place before when it was Joe's Crabshack but now it's Bubba Gump. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. It was just too hot to sit outside so we opted for indoor seating right by the window where we could look out to the river. My husband decided to order the Accidental Fish & Shrimp, and I instead ordered two items from the appetizer menu which was awesome that I did. I ordered the Shrimp Shack Mac & Cheese and the Small Portion Shimperers Net Catch which comes with around 24 shrimps or so. They do also have the jumbo that comes with around 40 shrimp but that was too much for me. I went ahead and got half Cajun & half Garlic. The Cajun were better. The food is still as good as when they were Joe's Crab Shack. I highly recommend this restaurant. Our server was so nice. Overall we enjoyed our dinner. Overall pretty solid. The service was pretty good. The Forest Gump theme to the restraint is always fun because I love that movie. I got the Mahi Mahi entree that was very good. It came with shrimp that were also pretty good. As an apatizer I got the calamari and it came with deep fried jalepeno and peperchjni which were a fun combo with the calamari. Ok why not 5 stars? Simple I drink a ton of water, and when I get ice water from a place that clearly has terrible tap water and they can't spring for a filter it kills me. Color me shocked. Bubba Gump was not our first choice for restaurants. We tried going to Saltgrass, but they were booked up for the night. We walked over to Bubba Gump expecting to be served hot garbage on a plate after checking out these other reviews and we were surprised by how good everything was. Staff was extremely friendly. My son's burger, my fish and chips, and my wife's shrimp skewer and tilapia were excellent. Plus the drinks were great too. I've never had such bad service here. When I was here two weeks ago service was amazing tonight not so much. Feel as if my food was never put in or the kitchen messed up it wasn't until we asked about our order an hour later did we finally get some food 20 mins later. The table that came in 45 mins after us got their food within 5 mins of us receiving ours. We tried to pay our bill for about 20 mins as well I finally got up and walked over to someone to pay my tab. I'm just disappointed in the service that we received tonight.
