As a local neighbor I wanted to support this business and also acquire good food for my dog…read more However, the owner, Mary, was extremely rude as soon as I walked into her establishment. She asked me what I wanted and not "how can I help you." I asked for Royal Canin dog food, her reply, "I don't carry that brand, go to a regular supermarket for that". Then she told me she only carries high end dog food and not cheap food. I thanked her and walked out. Royal Canin isn't cheap nor is it found in regular supermarkets. Mary's demeanor was pretty rude. Am not returning to this establishment.

Jarbas isn't just a dog groomer, he studied animal psychology and loves, understands and cares…read moreabout dogs like no other. We had tried many groomers before finding Jarbas and no one came even close to the care and attention this man gives each dog. Can he be expensive? Yes, but you get what you pay for and it's not cheap running a quality operation in Miami. Can he be rude? Totally, he's there to pamper your pets, not you. Our dogs were always so excited to go to Ipenema we ended up asking him to board them when we went on vacations, and he did. They loved him. My experience with Ipenema was long time ago (1995-2005). Just wanted to give some background and depth to Jarbas' business. The fact that he's still around in a fickle city like Miami after 30 years, speaks louder than any of these reviews can. Hope you're doing well J. From Spanky and Curly's dad.

I'm leaving this review based on my experience with the general manager, K-Dee, rather than the…read moregrooming itself. My dog does have some anxiety, which I've always been upfront about, and I take steps to manage it responsibly. After returning to this groomer following a break, I was genuinely taken aback by the tone and attitude I was met with. K-Dee's communication came across as consistently negative, overly critical, and at times condescending. Instead of offering constructive feedback, her comments felt exaggerated and unnecessarily harsh, making the situation feel far more extreme than it actually was. At one point, she even told me it "wasn't smart" of me to bring my dog in the first time after giving her anxiety medication, which felt both inappropriate and unprofessional in how it was delivered. As a pet owner, I expect honest communication--but also professionalism, empathy, and respect. There is absolutely a way to discuss a dog's behavior in a calm and supportive manner without making a customer feel judged or unwelcome. Unfortunately, K-Dee's approach did the opposite and created an uncomfortable experience from the start. I was also told she could no longer see my dog, but I had already decided this would be our last visit due to how I was treated. Customer service and delivery matter just as much as the service itself, and that was clearly lacking here. I would recommend others consider how they want to be spoken to and treated before choosing this location.

BECAUSE OF THEM MY BIRD DIED…read more I got my baby sparrow some food here a few weeks ago and the guy who worked there was sassy and a litte over dramatic he told me that i can give him the baby parrot food for his entire life! I am not an expert with birds so i believed him. When i feeded my bird everything was good and his festhers even started showing. I would try to find worms in my backyard to feed it but never succeeded. A family member of ours would feed his sparrow egg whites so i tried it with him and it was perfect! He was perfectly fine until today when i would feed is baby formula and he would throw it up , the next hour he was hungry so i feeded just a bit of the baby food and 5 minutes later he was throwing up blood! I was gonan call a pet hospital or a vet but it was too late..there i saw my bird already dead. I believe it was the pet shops fault becuase i saw that your not suppose to give your baby bird baby food because of the low carbohydrates. I wish i saw that sooner or i wouldn't have listened to that idiot
