After observation and good listening she devised a treatment plan comprised of both stretching and strengthening exercises which I now incorporate into my workouts at the gym. 10 stars! Its simple: they mobilize and rehabilitate you so you are painless, functioning in life, and happy. They are not your typical pt office! They use their hands, tools, machines, balls, resistance bands, etc. and create a plan of action to get you better. The entire team is great, funny, sweet, and considerate. Dr. Bryn is so knowledgable! She is accurate and focuses in on the underlying issue. She is amazing. Fernando makes me realize I am stronger than I think. Manny is sweet and supportive. Terrance brings laughter to your tough day. I came here about 1 mo ago, because deconditioning my muscles from prolonged sitting for years, that resulted in getting muscle spams in my low back that locked me in one position and I would yell/scream from pain when getting up from a chair or laying down position; forget about trying to jump, or jog. I have been coming to my sessions routinely and saw results immediately, to my surprise. I rarely get muscle spams now. I can jump, jog, and have more flexibility. Love this place! read more

The BSP staff are incredibly amazing. All three Physical therapists are very knowledgeable and professional. I work with Dr. Bryn mostly. She is incredibly sweet and humorous. She keeps you engaged in conversation and distracted during the treatment so you do not feel the pain. She pushes me further every time and challenges me to do more which I truly appreciate it. I have tried other Physical therapy places but unfortunately they do not spend much time with you... especially with the type of injury I have. Dr. Bryn ensures that enough time is allocated to my treatment. She also recommends different types of exercises to do outside of the office to get the ankle moving. read more

I'm really happy with BSP. When I couldn't get an appointment with the Providence St. Joe's Occupational Therapy near my house, I checked out yelp and found BSP. They took me in right away. My PT's name was Jay and he is really knowledgeable and skilled. My injury is much better, even though I have to go for one more 4-week round. I'm actually looking forward to it! In addition to the excellent treatment with state-of-the-art equipment, the office is large and filled with natural light, music, TV and happy, friendly staff. I can't say enough amazing things about the doctors, staff, facility, and treatment here! I am an aerialist and always pushing my strength and flexibility to its limits. Go see Dr. Bryn! She is absolutely amazing. My mother broke her ankle and Dr. Bryn went above and beyond during each session she had. My mother was originally told to go to Vargo (also in Burbank) and the therapists over there only spent 4-5 minutes on her ankle at the max. It was a joke and they were the worst. Thank goodness she found BSP and Dr. Bryn instead. They actually care here and truly take their time with patients. Front office ladies are also very sweet and friendly. Just started going to BSP Therapy and so far I luv it. Had foot surgery on both feet, so basically am learning to walk again. Dr. Bryn is so knowledgeable and informative, and yet so caring. What does BSP mean? Let's come back to that later ... for now let me tell you how I got started with them. I was seriously injured on the basketball court on March 10, 2016. Once the details were sorted out, I was diagnosed with a less common injury - a torn patellar tendon of the right knee. I was told it required surgery to repair. I had a lot of concern and anxiety as I had never been in this type of situation before. The surgery was performed successfully on March 15, 2016. The first part of recovery required 6-8 weeks of immobilization according to my conservative surgeon. The first week was awful between the knee pain and adjusting to the immobilization. Finally after six long weeks, I was given the green light to begin therapy. Enter BSP. I had been to BSP at their previous location a couple of years prior. So when I was asked where I wanted to go, I immediately chose them. What I did NOT know at the time is that they had moved. For my first appointment I went to the new address with the intention of switching to something closer (since getting around was difficult) depending on how it went. I had an aggressive 3 times a week rehab schedule. It became clear to me just after the first week that I would not consider any other place to rehab. BSP means Best Spot for PT. The entire staff is top notch, from Dr. Bryn and Dr. Fernando to the receptionist, and the interns too. First of all I want to give a shout out to Jen and Dr. J. However, I will focus my comments on the staff with whom I spent the most time. All of the people below have been instrumental to my recovery in so many ways, but here are some highlights. Dr. Bryn - for the deep tissue massage (a necessary evil) and to push you further than you thought you could go Dr. Fernando - for customized and specific rehab moves and technical answers about the process Manny - for the comfort and conversation Terrance - for the humor that distracts from the pain and gets you through Alma - for the smile that greets you and sees you out and gives you the sense that everything will be ok So what does BSP mean? Moving forward I was there twice a week for nearly 3 months and saw Dr. Michael Bender. He is personable, has a great bedside manner and truly talented. I have started regular appointments here due to some problems with my knee. The doctors and staff are very helpful and understanding. They have me do exercises and show me how to do them at home. I get a massage, electrode and ultrasound treatments too. After just a few weeks I am notifying an improvement in my knees. I highly recommend them. read more

Bryan is the best Physical Therapist I have ever been to!!! I have unfortunately been to toomany PT locations due to surgeries. She really knows her stuff and I would recommend her to anyone needing PT. She is knowledgable and really spends quality time with you. I would not go any where else but here. The rest of the staff is also fabulous!!! They are all polite and very knowledgable to and you can see results. Once my workers compensation denied additional therapy - I found out BSP has a program there called General fitness and I work with VUE there - she continues to help me rehab my broken shoulder for strength as well as get the rest of me back in shape. I have had trainers before and I can genuinly say she is one of the best. She knows when to ease up due to pain in my shoulder and she knows when to push me. I have seen great results in my strength and building back my muscles after my accident. If you are having any sort of issue with your hands and/or wrists (carpal tunnel, tendonitis, tennis elbow, etc.), I highly recommend Lisa Adams, Occupational Therapist at BSP. My doctor at SCOI said only injections or surgery would help. I did neither and simply scheduled an appointment with Lisa Adams. Lisa did all sorts of interesting treatments, gave me several different exercises to do, and even provided guidance on how to rearrange my computer workspace. A couple of months later; I'm almost fully recovered. Lisa Adams is a miracle worker!!! read more

Can't say enough about the staff, the professionalism of this center. Everyone is friendly and explains all the exercises/treatments. Fernando is amazing at setting up a course of action for your treatment. Each visit is roughly 90 min. You have exercise, massage/alignment, then stimulant/ice pack treatment. I went to another PT clinic and it was horrible. This place is clean, professional but its the staff that really makes this the best place ever. They really know what they are doing, really care that you understand your treatment and help you be an active participant in your treatment/recovery. Richard was able to help me alleviate the swelling in my foot (I'm healing from a hairline fracture). If you need physical therapy you will get the best treatment here. read more

This is only an update to my original review and response to the owner Bryn P. Thank you for the response. I have already spoken to Jennifer and expressed my grievance. Unfortunately, you either did not read my review thoroughly or missed my explanation. As I stated, Patricia was clear that I couldn't be seen because I was late. Patricia only offered to go and check after I was visibly upset and was attempting to get up and told her I was post-op. Patricia only then asked what type of surgery I had. If you have all the video it should be clear when she offered to help me. Again, she walked to the elevator and asked one question where I lived. Again, check sound and video. I was very excited to begin my therapy, it is very unfortunate that Patricia made a decision without first saying " hold on let me see what we can do since you are scheduled for a 45- 1 hour visit. Patricia first turned me away and reconsidered after she asked my type of surgery. Please review the sound of your video. I understand wanting to be on the side of your staff, however Patricia made a decision that was not hers to make. Maybe its a learning opportunity. read more

After ten+ years off and on with various forms pf PT, I have finally found a place that not only cares about the patients and their well being, but are also present for your exercises ensuring you don't injure yourselves further. I was referred to Dr. Lisa Adams because of tendonitis in my right (dominate) hand. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Lisa and her staff. She worked to reduce the inflammation in my hand in just a few sessions, and I can already tell a huge difference. Started PT at BSP after a craniotomy and severe neck trauma. From the very first day I knew I had come to the right place. Everyone was very attentive to my needs for recovery and got on it right away. Dr. Mike Bender explained every step along the way and Lorenzo and Emily were very attentive to my exercises. They made sure I was doing everything in the right way and carefully watched as I worked. After 12 sessions, including the initial evaluation, I feel I'm even better than I have been in several years. This review is long overdue. I wish I could rate Dr. Bryn and her staff infinity stars. She is a brilliant doctor of physical therapy AS WELL AS personable, funny, kind, and a great communicator. (Which makes a huge difference in terms of peace of mind when you want to understand what is going on inside your body and why it's happening). I had sustained a rare injury from an invasive neck surgery last year and I truly believe if it weren't for Dr. Bryn, I would not have recovered so quickly as well as the level of functionality of my shoulder; which is almost perfect now. BSP is a great place! Dr. Michael Bender has been amazing. My medical condition was a tough one but with his expertise and knowledge of his craft he has helped me regain my mobility almost back to 100% and with the next two months I have left I know it will be perfect! Let me just say that this place means business, in the best way. I am new to Physical Therapy and had had a horrible recent first-time experience with a UCLA-affiliated center in Santa Monica (which, btw, was not cheap). Having just moved to Pasadena I thought I might try at physical therapy one more time, this time relying on Yelp rather than a physician referral. On this second try I hit the jackpot. The entire staff at BSP is top notch and I am so grateful for them. I'll begin with with the office manager, Alma, who really went out of her way to confirm that my insurance was compatible with this practice. Next, the upbeat team of therapist assistants who keep your workout on point and make the experience, as much as it can be, fun and positive. Culminating with Dr. Bryn Pacheco, a PT miracle worker who actually cares about her patients and works the heck out them with great good humor. I have had 10 sessions with Dr. Bryn and her staff who have helped me treat my left knee, post surgery. My pain level has gone down from a 6 to a 2. I am no longer getting shooting pains when i walk up the stairs and can hike in the local mountains without fearing that my knee will give out. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and fun to work with. A typical one hour session for me consisted of strengthening and stretching for about 30 mins, followed by a deep tissue massage, icing and electrodes. It has been great and now that my treatment is over, I am equipped with the knowledge and technique to continue my therapy at home. Thank you all! read more

Best Physical Therapy center around! I have been to many terrible PT places that rule some what like a mill. All the staff is very friendly, personable, and knowledgeable! You work with the pt aide in the beginning but the Physical Therapist always works with you each session to help you to progress the exercises. read more
