My grandfather, however, is a resident of Peeples Valley, AZ (for those of you that don't know, it's basically nowhere Arizona). My grandfather called me as I used to do maintenance. I tried to explain to him what he needed to do to get help with his locks at his house. I knew what I was trying to tell him, but somehow I couldn't get it to come out right. So, as an avid Yelper, I hopped on to see who could help. I typed in phoenix as it was the nearest metro I knew. I called a few numbers, but no one could help (I doubt they want to give out free advice or travel that far). Now, to be perfectly honest, I don't remember who I talked to. All I know is I gave him my grandfather's number and situation and that pretty much wrapped it up. My grandfather called in about 20 minutes after I hung up with Stoddart's (here's the best part) My grandfather got the problem fixed. Not only that, he told me they offered to DRIVE OUT TO HIM! I Googled Surprise to Peeples Valley. 2 Hours! Stoddart's offered to drive 2 hours to Peeples Valley to make sure my grandfather had done it right. Here's the deal, I've done this type of work (not as a solitary lock professional), but I couldn't help out my Grandpa. Stoddart's helped him fix his problem no questions asked! Then the offered to drive out there which astonished me. Stoddart's is the type of old fashioned company that gets it done. They really care about anyone and everyone that calls. I lost my key fob and had to have a replacement. I searched yelp and they provided a list of…read moreservicers. I called one stop as Rudy came to my apartment to replace my fob. He quoted a price and then after a while said he had to get a different one and that the price would increase. I was in a predicament and acceded to his demand. He have me a fob and the next day it did not work and I couldn't even enter my car. He somehow massed up my door lock but came back and spent some time with it. He also prob me with an infinity fob instead of an aftermarket. It worked fine for a day or two but then started to not work without me having to use the key to unlock the doors and reprogram the fob into the computer box. I called and asked him if he could take a look and see why the programming wasn't consistent with the fob and he told me he had done all that he was going to do. After a short discussion, he pretty much told me it was not anything that he did, although there was no problems before he did what he did. During the course of the discussion, he hung up on me, leaving me with the advice to take it to the dealer. Actually bit would have been much cheaper and most likely don't correctly if I had. Unfortunately I had no way to get the car to a dealership which is the reason I called a mobile locksmith to begin with. I guess I will try yelps guarantee since they advised the dealer. Be careful when you make your choices. Bad ones lead to anxious situations. It will probably cost me more than double unless I can figure out how the utilize yelp's warranty. This section after owner reply. One stop left me with take it to a dealership because something else was wrong. He tried to blame everything but himself for the problem, but all the issues were created by him. There were none prior to losing my fob and needing a new one. Every problem after that , he initiated. I took the car to an Infinity dealership and the only issue, regardless of what this inexperienced hack says was that the fob was not programmed correctly. No other issues as stated by the inept provider, but incorrectly programming of the fob. The dealership programmed the fob and now for more info that three days the fob works fine. Except that I hade to pay the dealership $225 on top of the $225 I paid to this hack. He made up shit just because he didn't know what he was doing. So amateurish. Do better dude.

The tech was a little late but the company was very responsive when I called to find out when he would arrive and I was told he was wrapping up another job. He called me immediately after to give me his ETA and was very apologetic for being late. No biggie, like I said, most locksmiths I've used have been a lot less accommodating for appointment windows and on top of that, this place is much more affordable. Their trip charge was significantly lower than other quotes I got and the other fees were very reasonable as well. The tech was very professional when he arrived and super quick! They offer a discount for return customers as well. I need a locksmith at least once a year and this will now be my company of choice!

This all started off because I left my car keys inside the vehicle while I was at the gym. They were one of the first numbers to pop up when I was looking for a car locksmith and they had a good rating so I did not bother looking at the reviews prior to calling them (big mistake). I contacted their office at 7:50PM and they said that one of their technicians would call me within 2-5 minutes to confirm that they would be on their way. At 8PM, I received a call and was told they would arrive in 30 minutes and was given an estimate of $150 for the service. I waited 20 minutes and a second technician called me to say they would be arriving in 30 minutes. I was confused because I had already confirmed with a different person, but when I tried to explain that to the second technician all he said was "well do you still need your door unlocked?". I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and said I would wait another 30 minutes. 50 minutes pass by, and the technician still hadn't showed up. I tried to called him 2 times and was sent straight to voicemail. I called the office and all they said was that they would reach out to him. At 9:19PM I finally get a call from the technician and he claims he got "pulled over" but that he was still on his way and would arrive in 19 minutes. I would have appreciated some form of communication at this point, but again, I decided to wait. 35 MINUTES PASS AND HE STILL WAS NOT THERE. I called the tech AGAIN and he said he was in the parking lot looking for me. He finally arrives and it takes him about 5 minutes to open my door using nothing but a long metal pole. After that, proceeded to tell me that it would be $470 for the service. I was in complete disbelief. I told him that the first technician I had spoke with quoted me $150 and that I would have called another company if I was told it would be $470. The guy kept insisting that I was wrong and told me to call the person who I spoke with. I call the number of the original technician and he confirmed once again that it would be $150. The man that was with me starts speaking in a different language to the person who I called on the phone and then tried to LIE to me and say that they were from a DIFFERENT COMPANY. At this point I am furious. I felt like they were playing in my face. I asked him how they could be from a different company when he was just talking to him in front of me. I never called another company. The guy got flustered and asked that I call the main office again, so I did. The office called the technician after I spoke with them [I felt like they were trying to be really sneaky]. And he finally says they would give me the $150 service price. The complete total came out to $218. When I checked the original invoice they had sent me, they had charged me $50 for a "service call" in addition to the $150 for "labor". I checked the invoice again this morning and it seems it was updated to show a $200 charge for "labor" and $18 in sales tax. Please save yourself the hassle and call a different company. Or if you do use them, make sure you get them to send you an estimated price in writing

Saved my ass! Had a…read morenew french door installed today. The key cylinder was missing from the box, so we had a beautiful new door, but couldn't lock it. Called Jack, who swung by Home Depot for a part, and was on my doorstep within 90-mins (after 6pm on a Friday). He was able to install a generic lockset, which allowed me to lock the door and win me all kinds of brownie points with the missus. Price was reasonable too - recommended
