After years of debate, my husband and I decided to pull the trigger on an inground pool. We did our research on vinyl vs fiberglass and researched 4 different companies in the metro. After meeting and getting quotes from the 4 companies (Pinnacle, Relax, Outdoor Living, and Krystal Clear), we quickly realized the Pinnacle team was the one for us! From day 1 Liz, Ross, Travis, and Ashley were amazing! They addressed concerns from past customers (which fell under a different ownership dynamic) and were very transparent about what happened. After these discussions, we put full trust in this team and never looked back. Every single crew member that came out (demolition, plumbing, electrical, digging, pool drop, concrete, rough grading, etc, etc) was amazing! We signed our contract with Ross, and team, at Pinnacle Pools on April 13th and we were swimming by June 19th! 67 days (about 4 weeks from ground break)! We had a serious problem caused by another contractor. Several contractors told us there was no fixing it, and that we would have to tear out the inground pool and replace it all. However, James explained exactly what could be done and quoted it. All of his references said he is a genius, and that we would never regret hiring him and his crew. They were correct. Bonsall Pool & Spa built my vinyl-lined swimming pool in 1986. The company did a great job building it and were quick and competent with occasional repairs needed over 35 years. For the last few years, however, the repair department has been unresponsive to my pleas for help. I don't believe they have many trained technicians anymore who can carry out repair jobs. Apparently, their crew in the field is inadequate in meeting the demand. What is the problem with the structure of this business? Is it low salary not attracting knowledgeable technicians? Is it lack of training in specialized pool equipment repair? Whatever the problem, it has lowered the good reputation of Bonsall Pool and Spa. I do not recommend them for pool construction.

They cut down lilies, they chopped up all of my drip hoses. Left all the grass clippings in the street & left walks & drive way with mud, grass @ debris. We bought a simple 4" x 18" Intex above ground with the idea of getting a real metal sided one next summer if this goes well. I appreciate them teaching me the water chemistry and helping me ensure we have a clean, clear pool to safely swim in all summer long. The quality of work submitted as "professional and completed" for a power washing job was…read moreridiculous. Power wash lines were still visible and several areas were not even done when they left and deemed it "completed". For the price we paid, we expected it to at least be completed. I was able to get them back out to finish, but Sam was very defensive, rude, and unprofessional. It was like talking to a wall despite the respect and professionalism we showed him. He said that the problem was in the water, not the pool surface, but water was perfectly clear and, again, you could see where they just stopped caring with the power washer (see photos). We used Performance (despite their price gouging) because my maintenance manager has worked with them in the past with good results, but next time will choose literally anyone else.
