I came here for breakfast cuz it's just two blocks away from my hotel. It is very quiet in a early Sunday morning. They have variety pastries, desserts and sandwiches to choose from. It seems a small shop but there are actually three floors so plenty seats for large capacity. In terms of the food, the latte was pretty strong, a good wake-up drink. They have milk and sugar available on the side for customers to adjust the drink based on their preference. The smoky meat sandwich is so delicious. The bread is multi-grain which made the sandwich has more flavors. It is not a super fancy sandwich but it has essential ingredients to make it delicious and good enough for breakfast. If I have chance, I would come to try their pastries. They look very yummy. read more

While vacationing in Quebec I needed a coffee in the morning. Found this place which was close to where we were staying. The barista was very friendly and helpful. He spoke English that really helped. The coffee was delicious. I wanted an ice coffee but was given an iced latte. I think I should ask for cold brew next time. Nevertheless the ice latte was very good. I also got hot coffee for my wife and mother and they both commented on how good it was. read more

This little cafe was conveniently located across from my hotel in Québec City. I came here twice for breakfast and again in the evening for desert! I had a raspberry yogurt parfait and chocolate chip banana bread for breakfast each morning, with both being incredibly delicious! For my evening desert, I had a slice of raspberry cheesecake and my brother ordered himself a rich chocolate cake. The workers were extremely accommodating and the prices were very reasonable! It's a great place to grab a quick bite to eat before you go to work or before you go out to explore the city. Atmosphere wise, it is a great place to work or socialize, with its multiple levels to get away from the "busy-ness" of the street. If you're in the area, I would definitely give this little place a try! read more

We returned after having coffee here 10 years ago. At that time we thought the coffee was excellent here. This time the cappuccinos were a bit on the sour side. The croissants were good, not great. It's still a nice place to grab a coffee beverage. read more

It's really exciting to find a coffee shop close by your hotel. It's overwhelming when the coffee shop is exceptionally stupendous in their ability to make coffee drinks with skill. Brulerie St Roch in my opinion is the best place for coffee in Quebec City. It is here that I first had a cappuccino in a glass cup and their croissant was not only enormous but was reminiscent of France. You definitely need to stop in here, this place is Superbement fantastique!!! read more

Polite staff, a decent food selection and awesome atmosphere. Comparable to Starbucks but way better! The three story seating style is really cool and one of many things that sets it apart from the rest. I got a chai latte for $4.75 (roughly the same price as Starbucks) and it was probably the best I've ever had. read more

A warm coffee house with good coffee, nice staff, delicious croissants and usable Wi-Fi. I find this is a great house to sit and enjoy your cup of coffee (which they'll bring to your table) rather than getting your java and running. They have a huge selection of coffee along the back wall as well as a roaster whirling away on the first floor as well. Both the Cappuccino and L'Orgasme satisfied my morning coffee cravings. I love their croissants, of course the French Canadians seem to do all things "Bread" well, they don't disappoint here. Some minor notes, there is a 2nd floor seating level that I prefer. It gets you out of the hustle and bustle of the first floor. The girls behind the counter are great even to non-French speakers (I'm working on it). What else can I say besides I am a sucker for all free things. When I first arrived to the neighborhood with my bags in tow from the airport. I spotted this hip coffee shop that was all about that life ........of Java. I go in and of course everyone knows I am visiting Quebec because I have a big ass Tumi roller that I am trying to find a seat for. Anywho.....I had a beautiful latte and a chocolate croissant. The decor is warm and comfortable with what looked like some extra floors for seating, sort of like a townhouse. I would not recommend this place if you were a hardcore fan of Italian coffee. Macchiato is no good. Since the drink is mainly composed of espresso, without all the sugary syrup and frothed milk to mask the taste, it really brought out the sourness in their coffee. (I drink Illy at home. Let's just say the taste is...incomparable) Specialty coffee (orgasme) is wonderful though. Again, maybe it's the syrup and milk, but it tasted nice! This place is very cheap. 2 croissant (big as my face) and our 2 coffee only 12 dollars! If I had the chance to go back again, I'll sit upstairs and enjoy the view. read more

I deem this café the best in Québec city. It has a relaxed atmosphere perfect for those who wish to study, to chat with friends or to read the newspaper. During my most recent visit, I noticed a recently constructed third floor. Excellent and polite staff, as well. I miss you Brûlerie St-Rock! Ce café est sans doute le meilleur à Québec, selon moi.
