One of the highlights of our trip to Copenhagen was our stumble into this unassuming open faced sandwich joint. With quaint vintage Danish decorations that reminded me of what I'd imagine a European grandmother's house to look like, we were lucky enough to score a lovely corner booth. The waitstaff and chefs were a bit abrupt with our English questions (I imagine they do not cater to foreigners frequently?), Thus the reduction by a star. However...the food alone and ambiance would have scored them 5/5 stars! Very reasonable prices, and this was the local food we had been craving our whole trip. It was not gussied up fancy versions of open faced sandwiches, just simple, tasty preparations of what we were craving (smoked fish, veggies, creamy soup, fresh rye bread). I highly recommend this place and we would absolutely return the next time we are in Copenhagen. read more
