Everything tasted really balsamic vinegar-y and I actually wasn't really much of a fan of the buffet except for the potatoes. The potatoes were really well seasoned and perfectly cooked which actually was a theme I had noticed in Scandinavia. The real star was the baked cod that they served after. It was in a carrot puree, and served with mushrooms, carrots, and spinach. The fish was really flaky and soft and I thought it was one of the best dishes of my trip! I would definitely recommend coming here just for that dish.

You'll find plenty of mommies with strollers here as the seating is generous. The staff here is really nice, on my very first visit i lost my wallet and they had tried to track me down from my drivings licence and a member of staff waited after closing to let me in to retrieve it. How lovely isn't that?

The outdoor seating was pretty packed, and the sandwiches looked amazing, so we decided to try it! I'm so glad we did. Although we didn't see any English menus, we were able to translate the menu on our phones without a problem. We ordered our food inside, and everything was prepared quickly. We ordered three Burrata sandwiches, a jamón sandwich, and an order of fries. Everything was delicious! The sandwiches were very large and packed with fresh ingredients. The fries were crispy and came with some kind of an aioli-like dip. Plenty of outdoor seating at this restaurant and you order inside at the bar using your table number, which you can find at your table. The bathrooms are interestingly covered in sticky notes left behind by previous customers. Very fun to look through!

We ended up ordering burrata sandwiches and a jamón sandwich, as well as 2 orders of fries (which were plenty for the 4 of us). Delicious! The ingredients were fresh, and the food was presented well. Highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for a tasty lunch spot!

Rørt Smørrebrød was also calling to me. There were so many different things that we wanted to try. However, it was smell of grilled steak at Fuego Street Grill that won our hearts. That sandwich was absolutely delicious! We also grabbed a pint of beer at Broens Bar. I told my husband to get me anything that appeals to him. He brought me an IPA. Lol! I don't typically like IPAs. But, this one was actually very good. It was the Broens IPA from the local Flying Couch Brewery. It was smooth and less bitter than others I've had. I real liked the flavor of this one. He picked out a winner! We also went for a dessert crepe at Crêpes à la Cart. They make them to order in an open food truck where you can see it all being made. The vanilla sugar crepe was perfect, but huge. I couldn't eat it all. My husband had a chocolate that he really liked. It was a very relaxing evening at Broens Street Food. It's such an appropriate location since it's at the end of that island's harbor. Don't miss it if you happen to be staying anywhere near it. It's only a bridge away from Nyhavn. The mushroom frittata (I think it was) was absolutely delish- no rubbery egg taste, lovely mushies. I was worried about the carrot salad because it looked like it was tossed in something creamy, but it was quite good. This also included a really rich and thick tomato soup, and a small toast w/ goat cheese and a rhubarb jam, and some sweet treat- I'm guessing made with mascarpone. Hubbies sandwiches were good, though I've never seen mushrooms in a chicken salad before (luckily they were big enough for him to pick out so I got those too). Only reason to dong them a Star was due to the chaotic way and wait to order. There was one queue downstairs and two people intermittently taken orders. But, the people taking the orders also were making fancy coffee drinks and doing other stuff, so it was very staccato. When we were next in line, both people ringing people up went missing for quite a few minutes and then a newcomer went straight over to the 2nd register to ask a question, as if the people in the longer queue weren't waiting, and because the guys behind the counter were so all over the place they couldn't keep track of that. Then it turns out if you want to sit upstairs, you have to order up there, so off we went to wait in another queue. After you order, you take a number to your table and we thought they forgot about us, and asked a bus boy to check in for us and he returned with our food. Oy!
