They came, assessed and won my trust and business. We religiously care for and service our furnace as I don't want it to fail in the dead of winter. After looking at our furnace, Care told us that they did not see a need to replace it - that it checked out tine. We also had them service the AC unit which, knock on wood, has a been a gem and never yet failed us. They not only did the service, they made recommendations on how to maximize the cool air where it was wanted by shutting off the areas where we don't need it! I wish I would have known this was possible 25 years ago! As I freeze in the north side of the house while the hubby sweats in the south side. I work from home and my office is in the cool part and his TV room is in the south. We get direct sun that heats up that room quickly. Bottom line - this company is the bomb. They sent out another technician (Blake) who had a device that allowed him to locate the leak. It was in the cooling system and the unit needed to be replaced. The next day they found the cooling system was under warranty, located a system locally and then installed it. They gave me a quote for the labor which the warranty did not cover. Matt came out that evening and installed the new cooling system. All three technicians were outstanding and knowledgeable and were courteous and did their jobs. Matt who installed the new system was the best technician I have ever seen. Great company with great employees. They did not try to upsell you on anything and even their office researched and found and coordinated the warranty process for us. Our a/c unit was only two years old in a new build house.

We started a major remodel in the beginning of December. Jim was referred to us by a plumber. We checked out his reviews on Homeadvisor and Facebook, and decided he was it. Jim's work was sloppy when he did actually show. A job that he said would take a few days took 4 weeks because each time he did show up he "forgot" material, or said there was a miscommunication about what we asked him to do. He would plan to show up for work and then not show up - when we would call him to check on his status he claimed to be out on emergency. A personal emergency pulled him away from work for over a week, but we did understand this. However when he returned his work was poorly completed and not at all worth what we paid. His last day in our kitchen I called him after inspecting his work to tell him something felt off and asked him to call me back. He never did. I've reported him and his company to the Better Business Bureau.

I searched online and found that Keyser Mechanical was nearby and had strong reviews. I called and Jim answered on the first ring. He said he could be right over and he arrived within 90 minutess. Our 15+ year old coil had failed and he gave us two options, repair and recharge with the expensive R-22 refridgerant or spend a bit more and replace the compressor too. He made it very clear and did not pressure us in one direction but the decision was easy, replace the system. He was booked up for the next several days but offered to come on the following Sunday morning at 9:00am to replace our units. I shared what my budget was and he recommended a solid unit that met our needs and he had lots of experience with. Hot days were on the way before he could do the install, so get this, he refilled our old system with R-22 to tide us over until Sunday, at no extra charge! He contacted us the day before the install date and arrived right on time Sunday at 9:00am. He said it would take 2 hours, and it did. He was friendly, professional and didn't mind me standing over him asking questions as I am a curious sort of person. The system has been in for about a month and is wonderful. No issues, no problems, highly recommended! I wish all contractors were this reliable and professional. Call Jim!!!
