From the moment you walk in, you can tell this isn't your typical auto shop. They take the time to explain everything clearly, tell you what actually needs to be done (and what doesn't), and treat you like a person--not just another ticket. What really sets them apart is their honesty and consistency. You never feel upsold, pressured, or in the dark. Just straightforward, high-quality work at fair prices--every single time. And somehow, they always find a way to come through when you need them most, even when they're busy. They've been a trusted name in the Evanston area for decades, and it shows in the way they operate and the loyalty they've built with customers. Chris runs an incredible shop, and his team reflects that standard across the board--professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely good people. It's rare to find a place like this. Once you go to Crawford Golf Auto, you won't go anywhere else.

It took about a week to fix our car, which I thought was a little longer than necessary, but no big deal, since our insurance covered a rental car. I was a little disappointed when they didn't replace 100% everything, and we weren't told it wouldn't be replaced until after we already finished the repairs and noticed the difference. That was pretty disappointing and I think should've been pointed out before deciding to have them fix the car, since we could've gone elsewhere that the insurance company provided. Otherwise, repair was completed as expected.

I came from having experience with high prices from Midas and was immediately comforted with the down to earth staff and reasonable prices. I appreciate that they will always take my car and look at it to tell me the diagnosis rather quickly. However during 2022-2023 I felt like they overestimated the repairs and charged way too much. I feel like they no longer care about the customers best interest, they will flatly ask a repair cost that's double the cost of the car and act like they don't care if you can't afford it. Everything to them is "necessary". I feel like they aren't real anymore. Also the repair quality itself has gone down as my control arm all of a sudden "failed". I have a 17 year old car that is 150k miles. I am no stranger to getting it repaired. I believe that a car that is taken care of will take care of you. Where I take it matters, and unfortunately I no longer can rationalize taking it here. It's disappointing to spend that much money at a shop and for them not to even remember you. I'm not sure what management is doing but it is not the same shop it was just a few years ago.

I went to the store but they told me they didn't have any tires for the price that I asked for. They said they didn't have the tire and said we could buy one for over 400 dollars more. I asked why they didn't tell me in advance but they said getting an appointment doesn't guarantee tires. We wasted our electricity and our time just to find out we couldn't get the tires we wanted. They refused to work with us and said the only option was a price we were not told beforehand. I do not recommend this place because of their dishonesty and abysmal customer service.
