Bruxie is trash

They offer a buy one get one but didn't receive.. can't get refund from Uber Eats , beware before losing out on money.. burrito is mid

I only tried the salad, but everything looked good. The honey mustard is really good with the chicken. Service had a small wait, but they were busy. Plenty of places to sit inside or outside.

What magic is this?! Fried chicken breakfast burrito - sometimes you gotta treat yourself.

I was having a craving one day and I couldn't decide between Mexican food and fried chicken and lo and behold, Bruxie's breakfast burrito offered both! Then I got so distracted by all the other amazing things they have on their menu and started to get overwhelmed in the most exciting way! Still, I came back and fed my craving. Even though it turns out this came from a long way away from my house, the breakfast burrito was still perfect temperature when I got it, the green salsa was super refreshing. the chicken was still a great texture even though it's wrapped up in a burrito. And I was stoked because I bought one for that day and got another one for the next day and it was just as fulfilling that day as well. Just heated it up. Might have to go there the next time.

CHICKEN AND WAFFLE
Catelin D.

Cute place. Less crowded than the old Santa Monica location. I always get this chicken and waffle order with strawberries added. The waffle has a cornbread/savory quality to it, which I think is novel and delish. The thing that would improve everything for me would be if they seasoned the meat AND the batter. One of the two falls short every time without fail. Fair prices, all things considered.

I am trying to be mindful of eating. I am trying to lose pounds, gain confidence, and see how I look when my habits and choices reflect a consistent health journey. But it is hard. Especially, when I do not pack my usual healthy breakfast or in others words, when I do not meal prep. Most fast food places, at least that I have encountered, offer hash browns, and sandwiches, with processed meat and eggs that are made from a yellow liquid as opposed to cracked eggs. I have not verified this, it is just my intuition speaking. Yesterday, I did not pack breakfast and I refused to pivot away from my diet by choosing a fast food joint. I turned to uber eats, and scrolled through places and discovered a Buy one Get one (BOGO) offer. Then i scrolled this places offerings. I saw their Brioche Breakfast Sandwich and it looked tempting. But my desire to eat good food wrestled with my desire to keep my healthy habits on float. The sandwiches were bacon brioche, Fried chicken Brioche, Sausage Brioche and Avocado Brioche (vegetarian). The Vegetarian option seem like an indulgence that I could accommodate, and I allowed myself to believe that it would not break my diet, so harshly that it could be called Humpty Dumpty, you know that it could not pull itself back together again. The breakfast sandwich came, and it had a partner in arrival. I decided to offer the treat to a colleague, who will call A. Cause one sandwich would meet my diet, two would be a splurge that my goals could not afford. I offered the sandwich to a colleague that is always a pleasure to interact with. He is kind, in a gentle giant kind of way. The type of colleague you do not interact with much, but when you do, you kind of get reminded that people work at places, not that professional work at jobs, if that makes sense. Thus, I offered him a sandwich that I delivered to him, without a car, and he accepted. I had the sandwich and it was an airy delight. If you need a comparison to anchor your expectations imagine the brioche sandwich from EggSlut or Le Petit Quoitidian. The Bruxie sandwich was a pleasure to absorb. The bun was light, and airy, the egg, well-cooked and the avocado was fresh tasting, like morning dew in a mossy area. The best part of the sandwich is a competition between the bun and the avocado. The avocado was so clean in taste, that its impact was felt. The brioche, bun was a French kiss on my palette. But as I wrote this I decided to give the W to the avocado. Still the avocado would be a lonesome treat, if I did not pair it with the bread. The bread, wether you believe it or not, made the avocado a sandwich, alongside the egg. When I asked A. what he thought about the sandwich he simply said the sandwich was "good" and remarked surprise at the fact that the sandwich had "half an avocado." So there you go, I recommend the sandwich because of its airy quality that makes you felt like you ate nothing but joyous air. And if you are a quantity type person, then you will get half an avocado, so it will make you feel like you spend money on something that was worth its heft. And A. is right, there was a lot of avocado. If you notice the picture I put on this yelp, there is some avocado on the side of the bag. That does not happen by accident, it only happens, when there is surplus to spill. I also enjoyed the chicken pictured in the bag cause its body looks likfe a waffle. So this is a picture that reminds us that waffles and fried chicken are a pair that belongs together like mustard and watermelon. They may seem mismatched but the combo works.

Jessica is amazing!

WHY do we not have a Bruxie in Tampa, FL??? It is amazing! We loved the food and the service. Jessica made our visit on May 21 and 22 memorable. She was considerate, friendly, and efficient. On our first visit, we were so glad that there were plenty of tables and chairs for us to sit and enjoy our meal. It was clean, and inviting. Our order was taken by the friendly cashier, and while we were eating, Jessica came over to our table & asked if we were enjoying our meals and wanted anything else. We raved about our Chicken BLTs on waffles and the awesome coleslaw and fries. She insisted we try a dessert, so we ordered the strawberry cheesecake waffle. She posed with it before giving it to us. My mouth was in heaven after finishing it. So good!! The second day, we stayed with the tried and true Chicken BLT. Service was excellent as was our food. Once again Jessica was present and attentive. In fact, all employees were friendly and efficient, but Jessica stood out. We hope to be back every time we're in the Southern California College area. Maybe we can convince our niece to go there for college!!

. From the moment I walked in, the experience was exceptional. I was warmly welcomed by the team--Isaac, David, Maria, and Crystal--who went above and beyond to make sure everything felt comfortable and seamless. Their attentiveness and genuine kindness stood out immediately, and the level of service was both efficient and incredibly thoughtful without ever feeling rushed. The food itself was outstanding--rich in flavor, perfectly prepared, and clearly made with care. Every bite felt intentional, and it's rare to find a place where there's truly nothing to critique. What really ties everything together is the atmosphere. The setting creates a vibrant yet relaxed nighttime energy that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy the moment. It's the kind of place that feels just as great for a casual visit as it does for a special night out. Overall, this is an experience that leaves a lasting impression. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for amazing food, top-tier service, and a welcoming, lively environment. If I could come every day, I absolutely would!!!!!

CHICKEN & WAFFLE

Cool spot in the USC Village. Had the chicken strips and waffle. Loved the hot honey sauce with the chicken. Just wished the waffle had more of its own unique flavor and less dry texture.

CHICKEN AND WAFFLE
Sophie F.

I decided to try out Bruxie when I saw that it opened in the village, and I'm glad I did! It became a staple for me during my time at USC. Their chicken was always so flavorful, and my favorite thing to get was the loaded fries. The staff was always friendly. The reason for the four stars is that I really don't like the waffle from here, sadly. It is the most savory waffle I have ever had, and even drenched in syrup, it was not sweet enough. Now that I'm back in the Bay, I'm definitely missing Bruxie. It was the perfect quick dinner to grab after class!

THE ORIGINAL
Anna H.

I met up with a friend for lunch at Bruxie and I got the original chicken sandwich for the sake of trying the front-page offering. The chicken was super crispy and not dry at all. The butter and syrup situation on top paired very well with the chicken which had a little kick here and there. The waffle was originally crisp but it got a bit soggy by the end for sure and it's definitely not a traditional Belgian waffle, but I really enjoyed it when paired with the chicken. The slaw was just okay; not particularly memorable or flavorful, especially in comparison to the other elements. There's a couple of tables inside and a lot of people like to eat in the Village when the weather is nice! Their takeout game is serviceable -- the containers and bags are well-packaged, but the food won't survive long and should be eating fresh. Their menu is quite extensive and I had a bit of decision paralysis at first. I'd love to come back and try some more items!

William B.

Felt the good energy soon as I stepped in the establishment. The cashier was a young back man full of positive energy with a welcoming vibe. Was knowledgeable of the menu and assisted me with making the right decision lol I was not disappointed. A bit pricey but hey haha. I order the BACON EGG & CHEDDAR CHICKEN WAFFLE to go. First time having an over hard egg on my sandwich, well period lol. That cheese was everything haha. Their homemade sauce is delicious. Can't forget about the lemonade, smh. Let's just say I went back for a refill lol. I roughly spend about $25.60 for my meal, including $2 tip. I can definitely see myself returning. Parking is free the first 2 hrs in the USC Parking Garage located on 32nd and Hoover St. Bruxie is located right behind me the Bank of America Financial Center.

STRAWBERRIES AND WHIPPED CREAM WAFFLE
Lauretta N.

Tried the fried chicken salad and the strawberry Nutella dessert. The salad had cheddar cheese, tomatoes, hard boiled egg, avocado but the chicken nuggets had this spicy peppery taste that I didn't like. The chicken was also fried too one and tough. But the salad itself was tasty but it had very little dressing and I had to ask for a side of dressing. My husband had the dessert and loved it. The strawberries looked ripe. The restaurant was very clean and service was good. Don't think I would try it again.

LOADED TOTS with Buffalo fried tender bites
Karina A.

OMGGG!!! I love Bruxie so much. I always treat myself by coming here and eating their delicious chicken. Their fried chicken is TO DIE FOR!!! And they make THE BEST RANCH I'VE EVER TASTED!!! You can serve your own sauces, and I always take a whole bunch of ranch because it tastes so good. The service is always super fast and friendly! The ambiance is very cute with great music always playing and spots to sit inside and outside. My new fave thing is to get the loaded tots and add fried chicken bites to it! This time, I tried the buffalo for the first time on them. So delicious!!

The breads have a good sweet taste along with just the right amount of crunch. My buddy said, "I don't like sandwiches much but this one was good." Side note, he's a foodie. tl;dr the Dutch crunch rolls highlight an otherwise standard lineup of hearty deli sandwiches…read more The Los Angeles sandwich scene ranges from terrific tortas to farmer's market-on-a-bun, but few spots have embraced the Bay Area's beloved Dutch crunch roll. These slightly sweet hoagie rolls are coated with rice flour, creating an addictively crunchy, tortoise-shell top. While hard to find, Dutch crunch rolls are the specialty at Ghost Sando Shop. This small sandwich chain (from the mind of NorCal native and former Chipotle exec Benjamin Sales) debuted in the Fairfax District, and it has expanded to Orange County and the Valley. Every sandwich at Ghost Sando sports a Dutch crunch roll, and the lineup has achieved TikTok fame. Briefly, Grand Central Market is a semi-outdoor industrial market turned upscale food court. The sky-high walls are painted white, and the concrete floors are slickly polished. Even during the day, only a few rays of sunshine enter through the skylight roof, leaving each vendor's neon sign to pop. During busy hours, expect foot traffic shoulder-to-shoulder through the narrow aisleways. Here, Ghost Sando has a central stall near the wide stairwell. You can't miss the bright teal paint or custom green neon sign. The walls are tastefully decked with hexagon tile and wooden slats. The sandwich production line is front and center, and staff members buzz around even well after the weekday lunch rush. Stools are pressed up against the long stainless steel bar counter, guaranteeing a seat for customers. My partner and I visited Ghost Sando for a weekday lunch, but our food was prepared relatively quickly. Immediately, I was shocked by the sheer density of the sandwiches. Rolled into compact cylinders, the weight could have fooled me into thinking they were bricks. The "Large" size was plenty for even a hefty appetite, but I can't imagine how anyone could tackle the double-topping "XX Large" portions. I also enjoyed the unique Dutch crunch loaf -- consider holding your sandwich upside-down to fully appreciate the crispy shell. Otherwise, the sandwiches were more standard than spectacular. The cold cuts are more like grocery store variety than premium deli, and the veggies are only a step above Subway. I preferred the mildly spicy Firebird to the warm-ish Pastrami Mami, but neither blew my socks off. The service is mostly disengaged, and the sandwiches run from $15 each. Reasonably, a sandwich can be extended across 2 meals. The sandos are mostly standard, but the Dutch crunch rolls are mildly addictive. While Ghost Sando is not a reason alone to pay GCM a visit, it is a filling and reliable bet for routine DTLA lunch.

During a…read morelazy afternoon after visiting the Pantheon in Rome, we had our first experience with All'Antico after taking a 5 minute walk down the road. They actually had 2 separate locations flanking the pedestrian road, so there were two long lines snaking out in opposite directions. While we were waiting in line, we bumped into a couple from Spain who were also visiting. They gave my wife some personal recommendations, advising we get the blood orange soda with our sandwiches. After getting said sandwiches (the La Paradiso), we nibbled on them while walking to Sant'Ignazio of Loyola Church, which is that cathedral where there's a mirror directed up towards the murals on the ceiling and a huge selfie line. Hot damn were those sandwiches good. The thinly sliced mortadella paired perfectly with that buttery, green pistachio spread. The only challenge for my taste buds was the mild oral trauma I sustained from punching through the crispy bread; your gums started to feel it by the time you devoured your sandwich. But we liked it so much that when we later took the train to Florence, we sought All'Antico again at their original location. I thought that would be my last experience with All'Antico (unless, of course, I came back to Italy). So imagine my surprise when later that year I heard All'Antico had coincidentally opened a branch in Los Angeles, although rather awkwardly situated in Koreantown. Even though we live 30 minutes away, we made the drive immediately. There was no way this remote All'Antico location, thousands of miles from Italy, would live up to the experience I had in Rome earlier that year. But I was mistaken. Not only is the taste spot on, but the bread they serve is actually chewier and removed the gum calisthenics I suffered in Italy. And yes, they also have the blood orange soda as well. It's a little weird their location is in Koreatown, but not a big deal; we'll usually do a bingsu run afterward. Just like their locations in Italy, All'Antico is small but they do have a small collection of bar seats, some of which overlook the staff as they're making your sandwich. Be mentally prepared though to take it to go depending on how busy it is. Parking sucks too; there's street parking only, but if you come on Sunday you don't have to pay. Every so often now, we'll make the 30 minute drive just to relive that slice of Italy we experienced nearly 2 years ago. Thankfully, not a lot of people recognize how good this place is yet, as the lines aren't crazy long like they are in Italy. For all the other Yelpers in on it too, let's keep it our little secret for now.

Lunch rush came around 1:30pm. The workers were kind and helpful, each working diligently to complete everyone's order timely. I ordered the Mamma Mia, Dante, New Yorker--with Dante coming out as my fav. Shoutout to their truffle sauce, light yet not overbearing! Loved to see how they only use focaccia that just come out of the oven, and they cut your sandwich's meat from the meat hunk on an order basis. Very fresh, never greasy. I thought the Dante and Mamma Mia could improve by adding just one more ingredient as a cherry on top, like a sort of nut (walnuts, pine nuts) or something that helps the sandwich spark. Would love to see a bit more arugula too. No public bathroom--closest one is probably Hmart across the street (needs a code). Parking is metered, but there's free neighborhood parking 1-2 blocks away if you're able to find a spot. There's a few seats (5-6) and a standing bar around the perimeter of the store. Also, the drinks are money but you can ask for a water cup for free.
