I'm gonna give this place one star because the girl working in the drive-through was super nice to me and she also said to me I don't like our prices either, sir. I'll order a kids cup one scoop with chocolate syrup, wet walnuts, whipped cream, and a cherry. Are you ready for this? Take a guess how much a kids cup would be a granite I do understand they charge extra for some toppings but that son of a bitch was eight dollars! After I questioned it the girl at the drive-through said yes, sir we don't like our prices either and agree with you. I almost didn't get the ice cream but you know how it is when you have kids and they're expecting it I was not expecting it to go from four dollars for the kids cup to eight dollars to be double the price once again I'll say it again for a tiny little kids cup. I haven't been to this Brewsters in years and I'll make sure this is the last time I ever come to this one again it'll be Dairy Queen from here on out. read more

Here's how my visit today went: Me: Hi, I'd like to get a medium birthday cake in a cup and a pint of peach sorbet. Server said a usual response, can't remember verbatim. I get to the window and this is how it went: Server: Did you say strawberry sorbet? Me: No, peach. Server: Oh, the peach is actually peach melba, do you want that? Me: No. Server: No? (Awkward silence.) What would you like instead? Me: Nothing She took the sorbet off the order and I paid, to be honest, I didn't even check to see what I paid and I was not given a receipt. I honestly was annoyed and wanted to get out of there. The server then handed me a cake cone with the birthday cake ice cream. I reminded her it was supposed to be in a cup. She went and swapped it out. I gave it to my daughter, who said, "Yeah, that's a medium." I was livid. Why was it so hard to order ice cream? I didn't have a receipt, so I couldn't check to see what was rung up. I parked and went to the counter to find out what was going on. It turned out I paid for a kid cup. I wasn't about to give that shop any more money and I was seriously frustrated that I gave a tip. I did ask if a hearing screening was required to work there because "medium" and "kids" sound very different, so do "cup" and "cone," not to mention "peach" and "strawberry." I do NOT plan on going there again. We used to go regularly about 15 years ago when my kids were small, but the service today was ridiculous. read more

Just went to brusters in Indian Trail and the experience was horrible. I am hard of hearing and have hearing aids and explained that to the young girl, I asked her to repeat herself. She expressed frustration with me and started sighing and becoming exasperated. I told her that I was coming to the window so I could hear her She pushed another another girl to come to the window so she would not have to deal with a deaf person. I asked if the manager was there and asked the new the girl to tell the manager that I expect good customer service and not someone showing frustration with those who can't hear well. The Ice cream that was sent out was sloppy leaking everywhere and was liquid. This brusters has always been a good brusters until today in the past I have always tipped the max amount but not today. I am disappointed that they do not teach how to give good customer service to their employees. read more

Fantastic homemade ice cream! I loved the creamy homemade flavors. The peanut butter was delicious and really rich. The chocolate oreo was very rich and yummy. I enjoyed the ice cream and went through the drive through because of covid19. I think their ice cream is as good as b&j and I am happy to go again. read more

This is a great place to satisfy your sweet tooth. I came on a hot summer day and it wasn't too crowded. The ice cream sundae was good, however it could of been great if the brownie wasn't as cold as the ice cream. How do you sale a hot dude he sundae with a cold brownie?! It came with two large scoops of ice cream and chocolate syrup over the brownie. They have outdoor seating only and it's shaded. They have a drive through which is cool. Exiting the drive through is complicated because you face one way and have to be careful with traffic. The prices are similar to Jennis (ice cram is made fresh) and not basking robins which would be more similar to this place. The customer service was basic. Hope you enjoy and satisfy your sweet tooth! read more

We have been going to Brewsters in Matthews for quite a few years now.. I like their ice cream options especially near holidays.. however they are skimping on their ice cream scoops.. the last few times we went their 2 scoops look like one scoop.. we even questioned the young lady.. our friend got a scoop in a waffle bowl which was more then we got in our 2 scoop cups.. I don't mind paying more.. but when we ask and pay for 2 SCOOPS.. then that is what we should be getting.. as much as they charge we won't be going back.. I hope the manager reads these reviews as they need to do something!! Outside tables are clean.. read more

Our order was COMPLETELY Wrong! AND, someone with a Peanut allergy nearly died, because of your incompetent employees!!!!!! Will NOT be coming back here again in the future! read more

I went to Brusters with my cousin and we waited an unacceptable amount of time just to order. When we finally got to the window the girl was rude and snappy. After an even longer wait to get our ice cream, it comes out and half the toppings ordered are missing. I ask why that is and she tells me that they are out of those. After I paid for them. She said I could get a refund but I couldn't bother dealing with those pissy little girls anymore so I left and will never come back. read more

Who says you have to wait for summer to have ice cream as a treat? Friendly staff and delicious ice cream make for a winning combination. You can either use the drive thru or walk up to the window to order. This is THE place for cool treats. It had been some time since we had visited and we were craving a brownie sundae. We decided to share and save up our holiday calorie allotment. Score! The sundae was the size of an adult's Head! A warm brownies was topped with two scoops of great ice cream in your choice of flavors topped with fluffy whip cream and a cherry. Definitely a cool spot for cool treats. read more

Huge variety of flavors. The girl at the window was really nice and let me try a few of them. I decided to get them in the form of a sundae, with brownie pieces and whipped cream. The ice cream was great quality. Some outdoor seating, but no indoor seating. read more

Bruster's Real Ice Cream - Sundae - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Indian Trail, North Carolina

Was overcharged on my sundae waited at the window for close to 10 min and the cashier never came back. The three worker were too busy hanging out and talking to two female friends at the front of the location. She didn't give me any napkins and it was poorly made. I used to love going there but the past two times have been terrible. I should Have went to Culver's instead. read more

Finally went and tried Bruster's with my three children who have been always wanting to go have ice cream there and it will be the very last time I will never go there again. Those young girls that work that have no customer service experience they all have such a nasty attitude. The girl that took our order rolled her eyes at us probably 4 different times. She kept putting her finger up at us to give her a second on I don't know what. When my husband ordered the girl wasn't even paying attention to him and then goes "what?" When we were waiting for our order I asked the girl oh we had a milkshake and this girl said "yeah I know, you need to wait." And rolled her eyes at me too. Those young girls need an attitude check and better customer service. I will never go back here again!! And it's sad because this place is so close by. If I could give zero stars I would because that's what this place deserves!! read more

Really, really good ice cream. Great waffle cones. Haven't tried a sundae or anything else because the value and taste of the cone is really good. It's $4 and some change for a nice big 2-scoop "medium waffle cone" which isn't overpriced. Pretty fair market value. I would go more often but my age and lack of fitness routine prevent extra visits. read more

This used to be my favorite ice cream store until my last visit. Ordered my usual, a banana split, along with several milkshakes and a kiddie cone. Processed to request three different scoops of ice cream for the banana split, but was told if all three are not same, there would be a $0.49 per scoop additional charge. This just brought a $5.49 banana split to $6.47... I told them to just make them all the same flavor. Then I proceeded to select my toppings for the banana split, but was again told, anything besides bananas would be a additional $0.49 per topping. Unacceptable!! Their picture of the banana split shows sveral different toppings, whipped cream, hot fudge, etc... and the additional charge is not mentioned until you start ordering. I will find another place in the future to get my ice cream cravings. I'm sure I won't be the only one with sentiment. read more

for some reason the employees couldn't understand how to put sprinkles on my waffle cone.... so they gave me a cup on the side with sprinkles which is fine i guess. then she hands me my waffle cone and the top scoop wasn't even on the cone at all and before it was even in my hand the top scoop had fallen off on to my lap and all over my car. and then she closes the window and starts laughing with another employee. i work at an ice cream shop and i know myself that it isn't hard to put sprinkles on a cone. and if i ever spilled something on someone i would never start laughing.. it's not funny. i won't be returning and i recommend none of u going there either they're all morons. read more

Love this place! Got. Blackberry cheescake flavor and fell in love. Staff is very friendly also#

it's time to change some of the flavors. Matthews store had praline pecan but never in Indian Trail. I wish they had regular chocolate chip, not mint CC. Anyway, I was here today & the ice cream was very good, but I wish they had better flavors. As always the employee was competent & extremely nice. The employees here are always cheerful & efficient. read more

Tonight the only thing I was served with was poor customer service my family and I were excited but that changed quickly when the young lady working the drive thru was very rude when telling her I had multiple orders she sounded upset and said there is more than one with an attitude. She closed the window in face as I was trying to ask for more napkins I had to Wait until the driver behind pulled up in order for her to come to the window. She rolled her eyes when finally giving me the napkins and slammed the window. This associate NEEDS TO BE REMOVED effective immediately. read more

The ice cream here is pretty darn good. I liked the peanut butter flavor and the oreo cheesecake as well. Very creamy and ready to eat, no waiting for it to melt, so, needless to say, it's very good. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I just LOVE Waxhaw Creamery above all others. LOL! HOWEVER, keep it up, Bruster's! I'll be back. read more

Went a few weeks back for the first time. Prices for the area are high. I had the pistachio cone. The ice cream was good. You can definitely tell it was home made. The service was friendly but there aren't many places to sit if you'd want to. I'd rather go to DQ or Sweet Frog for that reason. read more

We visited the drive thru around 7:00pm last night to grab 2 chocolate milkshakes as my 2-year-old loves them. He has never had the one from Brusters so we got him his own as a special treat. When the associate opened the window, the smell of Pine Sol knocked me backwards but I didn't think much of it as many places smell abundantly clean right now. Got the shakes and handed one to my toddler in the back seat and sat mine down in the car. He drank some of his and I also had some of mine....then I noticed an awful smell in the car....like the Pine Sol smell had seeped into my car from the ice cream shop. I pulled over and tried to find the source and it was the cups...both cups smelled like they had been dipped in Pine Sol...it also smelled inside of the cup. I was terrified and jerked it away from my son. We immediately called Poison Control and they instructed us to watch him for a few hours. They also were in shock as were we that this happened. I called the location as soon as we arrived home and the associate told me there was not a manager there and she MIGHT be there tomorrow. I told her that this was serious and that someone will need to call me asap and I needed to know what was going on with the smell and cups. She told me that they were told to "wipe the cups down with the disinfectant" I told her that was not acceptable. These are paper cups....they absorb liquids and you could make someone very sick. She sounded very confused by this..... She told me it wasn't Pine Sol so it was fine....oh ok. Really!!!! It took the Owner-John Dolan-4 days to call me and he basically told me that there was "no way" this happened. He then told me that they had video tapes of that night at which time I asked him what was on them as we are still shaken to the core from this....he said "he was working all day so he didn't have time to watch them yet". Are you joking? Why is no one taking this matter seriously there? Unbelievable!!! read more

The ice cream tastes really good but the customer service was not all there.

Went to brusters Indian trail around 6:45 today after a death in the family for chocolate ice cream comfort. We had a coupon but the girl at the window told us she couldn't accept it because it wasn't good until May 30. I asked her to please ask because we had just had a death in the family and needed ice cream. The manager came to the window slammed it open told us NO! And when we told her about the death she started laughing! How horrible to laugh at someone's pain! I felt bullied and disrespected! I left the window but when I realized they had my punch reward card we went back to get it. Every single one of them was laughing! As we were leaving we realized that they had taken our banana for our banana split! Worst experience ever! I will NOT be returning to that brusters for a LONG time if ever. read more
