I went thru the drive thru today, 9/1/25 and got a butter pecan cone for my wife and a rocky road cone for myself. We noticed right away how small the scoop size was. Much smaller than usual. When we got to the top of the cone, there was no ice cream in the cone it self. How disappointing. The workers at Bruster's were probably pissed off that they had to work on Labor Day so they figure, let's screw over the customers today. Really disappointing Bruster's. Your ice is expensive as it is, but when you can't give the customer their fare share they pay for, the customer goes somewhere else, and also tells all their friends they got screwed at Bruster's! read more

Enjoyed 4 scoops of ice cream . 2 chocolate marshmallow and 2 vanilla. Hot fudge was good on it. Busy day on a Sunday . Used the drive through. It was nice. read more

Some of the best ice cream on this side of town. I ate here for the first time last month when my two little cousins from Tifton were spending the weekend with me. I've been back twice since then. It is slightly pricey but it is worth it considering the quality. The only thing I wasn't too fond of were their milkshakes. It tasted a bit too watery and it wasn't thick enough to my liking. This ice cream here is always good and I wish I could say the same for the customer service. We went tonight and the girl working the drive through had the nastiest attitude. While we were waiting she was all smiles with the staff inside but as soon as she came to the window she completely changed. She shoved our order to us and slammed the window shut. We didn't have spoons so we waited and after a few minutes she finally acknowledged us and opened the window. We asked for spoons and she handed us one... there were two of us and two ice creams. consistency was a failure. looked for the New York cheese cake for three days after trying for the first time. finally got it and they hide an entire scoop of crust under what was an acceptable second scoop. disappointed in the honesty of the employe not considering to give a reasonable ratio of ice cream to crust. The ice cream at Bruster's is so good. They have specials on their cones and a banana split special if you bring your own banana. Their staff is very polite and they have a drive thru for those late night ice cream runs in your PJ's. read more

Absolutely the best ice cream in Albany! We have been here several times since moving here in December and it is by far our favorite. My wife and I have been here a few times and each time we go, there are a few new "seasonal" or a special flavors. Their ice cream is thick and creamy and we have tried scoops, cones, milk shakes and mixed. All good, so why the three stars? As another review mentioned, at times they are slow and other times, they forget to give you little things, such as napkins or spoons. When they have new "scoopers" in training, the wait and service does get a little longer. Either way, they still have good ice cream, just don't get discouraged by the service. read more
