I have waited to do my review on the Cakery for awhile. But I will start off by saying, I absolutely LOVED them when they were located on Slappey. But since they moved to their new location it seems they left their moist, delicious treats behind! I mean the red velvet cupcakes were so moist, now they are dry! I ordered a red velvet cake for my birthday in March and it was good moist but as I chewed, it spit out some wax paper that had been baked into the cake!!! Still trying to give them a chance, I bought a vanilla butter cream cake for Christmas and when I finally ate a piece, it was as dry as desert sand!!! The frosting was good but geesh the cake itself was too dry and I was so disappointed. So no, I won't be back. read more

I ordered a mermaid cake for my grandchild's birthday party one week prior to picking it up. I requested no pastel colors and only to use vibrant colors. The owner also told me she could do the mermaid cake topper in fondant. To my disappointment when I picked it up it was all pastel colors and had a plastic mermaid Barbie doll sitting on top. When I called to tell them how disappointed I was she asked me to bring it back. I did not have time to bring the cake back and I also felt that with a weeks notice she should've been able to do it like she said she was going to do. I really feel like since the Cakery has moved to its new location it doesn't live up to the highest standards that I was used to. read more

Their cookie cake is the best we've had! Perfect for celebrations and goes great with coffee the next morning.

THIS IS NOTHING LIKE THE OLD OWNERS AT THE CAKERY. We ordered a cake last Saturday and a dozen peanut butter bars with vanilla frosting. We are regular customers and have tried over and over to give them more and more tries. The cake was not decorated like I asked, I asked for burgundy Happy Anniversary on the whole cake.. instead I got a 1 Inch frosting banner on it with letters half an inch in PALE PINK saying Happy Anniversary. The cake was absolutely horrendous- 10x drier than usual and the icing was so greasy it didn't even stick. The entire cake except for the initial slices went in the trash after my whole family tasted it. Not to mention the pb bars were literally all burnt edges. The attitude from the owner is always crass and dry and she is extremely rude- and clearly doesn't care about her customers..and the products get worse yet the prices increase. read more

Stopped in for cookies and cupcakes. How do you mess up a chocolate chip cookie? Ask their bakers, because they have mastered the art of greasy cookies with strange flavor and bad aftertaste. To be fair, the peanut butter cookie was pretty good, but the greasy cupcakes brought me back down to earth again. I won't be returning. read more

The BEST red velvet cupcakes and cakes anywhere! Very professional and friendly manager, owner and staff. The decorator goes over and beyond to give you exactly what you need and want and always turns out beautiful cakes. I have ordered iced cookies in numerous shapes and they are always a hit with children and adults. Their cupcakes are iced with delicious butter cream icing in any color I need. Can hardly wait to order football shaped iced cookies for my Super Bowl party. read more

AMAZING! I have had a few birthday cakes from here which were pretty good. The iced cookies are to die for and so are the other cookies that they make, chocolate chip, peanut butter, etc. They also make petit fours which are also great. Nothing that I have gotten from here has been not good. Staff is friendly. Atmosphere seems like it hasn't been updated in a decade but oh well. Prices are what they would be for any semi custom cake. A small square sheet cake (feeds 8) was about $13. read more

Terrible! Ordered a cake for a special occasion. The decorations were hideous. Discussed with owner who totally ignored what I said. Took the cake back and began to try to repair the terrible mess. She didn't even bring it back to me herself. Hid in the back and had another woman bring it to me. It did look some better so I accepted and paid...What could I do the party was in two hours. So ashamed to have to bring this cake. The owner is so arrogant and I will never use them again. read more
