I made a forty mile trip (each way) to try out Q's Cakes in a vending machine on Radium Springs Rd…read morein Albany. I got the strawberry and the red velvet, and my husband and I shared half of each. The cakes were huge! Easily enough for two people. They were fresh, and actually, quite perfect! Each piece made two servings. They were so good that we made the trip again the next day for another piece. I told my husband this time we could get one piece and share it, but no, he wanted his own so he would have leftovers for later! A vending machine for cake?! What could be better than that?!

Pros - Most of what we had was really good. Chicken n…read moreWaffles, Red Velvet cheesecake, and the Cathy 59 all rocked. Everyone was friendly. Food came out quick. Cons - A little cramped. Loud music was playing, we had to talk really loud just to have a conversation. Strawberry shortcake had no strawberries and they used the fake syrup on it instead. I probably would not eat in the building again just because of the size but I would swing in and get something to go. If they fixed the loudness of the music and used strawberries this would have been an easy 4/5.

I want to share an experience from my daughter's Sweet 16 this week because one local Americus…read morebusiness truly saved the day. I ordered a custom cake weeks in advance and drove nearly an hour to pick it up the day of her party. When I arrived, the cake was already cracked. I waited while it was repaired, but after driving home I discovered it was actually in worse condition than when I left. With a Sweet 16 party happening that evening, there was no time to go back and start over. Thankfully another local bakery stepped in at the last minute and repaired the cake so it could still be used for the celebration. They didn't have to do that, but they did -- and I'm incredibly grateful. The original bakery did refund the cake, which I appreciate. However, they declined to reimburse the additional repair cost that was required to salvage the cake in time for the party. When I followed up privately to ask if that portion could be reconsidered, the owner stopped responding to my messages. Milestone birthdays only happen once, and this cake had been ordered weeks in advance. Based on this experience, I would encourage customers to think twice before relying on this business for an important celebration. Huge thanks again to the local bakery that stepped in and helped save my daughter's Sweet 16. ETA: Now that the owner has chimed in, I realize I should have mentioned that the offer to repair the cake was impossible because of the time frame. I scheduled pick up for noon, but didn't arrive home and discover the problem until nearly 2:00. As a single parent, who had a child to pick up from school, and a 6:00 party to host, making another 2 hour round trip drive was impossible.

Much smaller than usual. When we got to the top of the cone, there was no ice cream in the cone it self. How disappointing. The workers at Bruster's were probably pissed off that they had to work on Labor Day so they figure, let's screw over the customers today. Really disappointing Bruster's. Your ice is expensive as it is, but when you can't give the customer their fare share they pay for, the customer goes somewhere else, and also tells all their friends they got screwed at Bruster's!

But since they moved to their new location it seems they left their moist, delicious treats behind! I mean the red velvet cupcakes were so moist, now they are dry! I ordered a red velvet cake for my birthday in March and it was good moist but as I chewed, it spit out some wax paper that had been baked into the cake!!! Still trying to give them a chance, I bought a vanilla butter cream cake for Christmas and when I finally ate a piece, it was as dry as desert sand!!! The frosting was good but geesh the cake itself was too dry and I was so disappointed. So no, I won't be back.
