I was suspicious at first, but then my food came out and I forgot all about my trust issues. The grilled cheese? Golden perfection. The hash browns? Double covered, topped and sent straight from the breakfast gods. My meal was cooked just the way I ordered them--the first time. I even saw the cook smile, and I'm 99% sure that's a sign of the apocalypse. Now, the real MVPs were the staff. Friendly, fast, and full of personality. My coffee cup stayed full like they were getting graded on it. I blinked and BOOM--refill. I coughed once and someone offered me hot tea. Southern hospitality was in full effect. And here's the kicker: no fights. Not in the booths, not in the kitchen, not even in the parking lot. I almost felt robbed--like I didn't get the full Waffle House experience. But hey, I'll trade flying fists for crispy bacon any day.
