Very fun girls night! We had to pay a $3 fee to go to the girls night on Thursday and then you pay for what you paint. They give slight instructions but for the most part this is a free for all :) You're able to chat with friends, paint, and then you pick up what you painted a week later. read more

Fun date activity? Girls' day out? Or just a relaxed afternoon to take a break from the daily grind? This is the spot! Vibe: The studio is a cozy, creative space accessible to adults, kids, teens, or anyone looking for a break. The studio has plenty of seats for groups of two or more. They also offer a small refrigerator with water and Poppi for purchase. Selections: Each table is stocked with painting supplies, including a variety of brushes, paints, sponges, and water, while a large table provides additional supplies. The pottery is displayed prominently, ranging in size and style from mugs, bowls, coasters, figurines, to ornaments, with around 400 pieces to choose from, so there's something for everyone! I visited during the fall, so they had a great selection of fall and Halloween-themed figurines and ornaments. Service: First, the Brushfire team is incredibly polite and helpful, guiding first-timers through the process. While we're painting, they handle the glazing and firing of the pottery. The turnaround for finished pieces is about a week, but the studio holds onto them for up to a month in case you can't pick them up right away. Value: The basic studio fee is very reasonable; the cost mainly depends on which piece you choose to paint. Prices range from $5 to $80. I chose a figurine priced around $15, and I felt it was quite fair. Note: Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends, since this place attracts a lot of couples and families. If someone is very particular about fine art, this studio might feel more like a hobby-level venue rather than a professional gallery, which I think is perfect for someone like me, who doesn't have fine art training. I loved my experience here, it's a fantastic place to create a handmade gift or a personalized piece for yourself. The studio offers tons of options, making it fun to craft something unique! read more

Brushfire Pottery Studio - Figurines before firing and glazing - Arts & Crafts Near Me - Nashville, Tennessee

Brushfire studio is a super cute pottery studio, where you can decorate various ceramics (bowls, plates, ornaments, decorative pieces). You pay a flat painters fee and the price for whatever item you choose. My bowl turned out super cute, and it's food safe which I appreciated! Pick up was easy, as they hold your piece for 1 month and can also ship it. A super fun idea for a date or girls day as it was really relaxing painting my piece. read more

So fun to come and paint pottery here. It is definitely pricey. I chose a small plant pot and it was $44 plus the paint fee. So that adds up. read more

To echo one of the reviews below, this is essentially a free for all. My group of 7 total friends was given extremely limited instructions. We had to flag down employees no less than 6 or 7 times in our two hours just to have them explain what we were supposed to be doing because they kept describing things in the most vague possible terms and then walking away quickly and leaving us alone to decipher what it was they were telling us to do. It was extremely frustrating, especially given how costly the event was. On top of this already negative experience, we were given a slip of paper that said our products could be picked up a week later. I live about 30 minutes away, so before I went to the store to pick up the products, I specifically called ahead and asked them to confirm the products would be ready for pickup, and they said they would be. I arrived at the store about an hour later, and was told that since my group had opted to utilize a special glaze, they were taking longer to cool and I'd have to wait "10 more minutes". I expressed minor irritation about that and explained that I had called ahead to avoid this exact situation, and was met with a very matter of fact response, being told "we should have confirmed your order number over the phone, whoever told you it was ready probably didn't check that". I asked the girl I was speaking with to please go back and check that it would really be 10 minutes and she came back to me saying that it would actually be more like 30 to 45 minutes. At this point I was very frustrated, but given that I live 30 minutes away, I opted to wait in the general area of the store rather than come back another day. Just to give them extra time, I actually came back an entire hour later and much to my dismay, they were STILL not ready by the time I arrived back because they were not done being fired and cooling. At this point I was extremely annoyed after all the negative facets of this experience, and did not hesitate to calmly, kindly, but directly, express this to the girl behind the desk. She had a different woman come out from the back who had been manning the kiln, who told me that she was literally burning her hands trying to take our pieces out of the kiln, which struck me as extremely unprofessional and unnecessary. I told her that I obviously did not want her to be burning herself or get hurt, but at this point since they had been dishonest about our pieces being completed and the timeline needed to complete them, I just needed someone to be direct with me about how long this was actually going to take given the multiple rounds of back and forth I had now had with the staff. The girl told me it would really be 10 more minutes, and I was finally brought 1 piece (of our 7 total pieces) after about 15 minutes. I had to explain to her that there should've been 6 more pieces, and they were brought out a few minutes later. The entire experience was totally frustrating, chaotic, and felt very mismanaged, and I would not recommend this place to anyone after my multiple unprofessional and disappointing staff interactions. read more

Came here over the weekend to paint with the girls and realized I haven't done anything like this in years. It was honestly so fun to get a little crafty and just sit around catching up. Such a good spot whether you come solo, on a date, or with a group of friends. Super relaxing and a great experience overall. Can't wait to see how our pieces turn out when they're ready read more

The art and paint selection was great, but the service was extremely poor. I went to pick up an item and was told I can pick it up in a week, and I have 30 days to get my item from the pick up date. I went on the 23rd day and the staff told me I wasn't allowed to pick up my item anymore because it has been "discontinued". I was confused and asked why because the worker was holding the bag with my item in front of me. She didn't give me an answer and instead rudely mentioned she called my number herself, but I went back to check my calls and no call was received. She then handed me my item and went back to the paint wash station to mock me to her coworkers. read more

A great activity for all ages & all artistic ability levels! I used to come here all the time as a kid, and I'm so glad it's still around. Upon entering, you get to pick out a piece (or multiple) of pottery to paint. There's so many options and they all have the price listed. I choose a small dish and an ornament to paint. An employee helps get you set up at a table and talks you through what to do. They have plenty of paint colors, stencils, brushes, and various tools to execute your ideas. On top of the price of the item you choose, you also pay a $7 studio fee. It takes about a week to get your piece back. read more

Came here as a walk in on Friday night with my boyfriend for date night and we had a great experience!! You are able to do walk in hours until close at 9PM which was great for a date after work. The girls working were very sweet and attentive - one of them walked us through the painting process and how to achieve best results. We were able to pick out our ceramics - we found the studio to have assorted options ranging from mugs to trays to kids items (you will not be disappointed). The studio has assorted shades for your painting needs as well as stamps, stencils, markers and paint specifically for detailed writing. There's a service charge of $7.50 per painter (check their Facebook for discounted specials nights) and then you pay for your piece. I noticed by their cash register they have the option to enroll in their emails and you can get half off your painter fee (we will be using it next time! We can't wait to come next week to pickup our items!! Thanks y'all! We will be back! read more

It was a daddy daughter day and my daughter has been wanting to go pottery painting for awhile. I've been here once for a work event and my daughter for her cousins birthday. Brushfire has a friendly staff and a variety of pottery options to choose from. The staff checks up on you often to ensure you're doing ok and if you have any questions. The space is nice and cute perfect for a small group event and/or a date night and of course daddy/daughter day. I'd definitely go back and recommend anyone to go for whether its a small birthday event or just a date night. read more

Brushfire Pottery Studio - Perfect for kids - Arts & Crafts Near Me - Nashville, Tennessee

I visited Brushfire with a large group of ladies with the Little Black Dress Club. We were a rowdy bunch of ladies but in no competition with the kid's party nearby. By the end of our visit, we were singing with the kids and having a great time! The studio has many items to choose from with prices comparable to another pottery studio that I've visited in the Nashville area. The staff are incredibly helpful and made sure that all of our questions were answered before we got started, as well as answering individual questions when we had them. I like that when we come back the next week to pick up our pottery that we just give them our name, and they go to the back to get it instead of trying to search for it among other finished projects. I'll definitely be back for more! read more

Loved Brushfire ! First you pick out which pottery piece you would like to paint . Then you pick out your paints and of course imagination is key . This is a great place for small groups or just a few friends . You go at your own pace so don't worry about time . It can get a little pricey as some pieces range from $5-$75 dollars . Parking is pretty reasonable since it is located in a plaza , just remember to wear comfortable clothes nothing fancy . Your items will not be ready to pick up same day so just prepare to wait 1 week . Such a fun place I can't wait to go back read more

This is a great place to go for fun as a family. We've made several gifts for grandparents, friends, and fun things for ourselves. When it's too hot, too cold, or too rainy, this is a great way to get out of the house. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. The merchandise includes plates, bowls, mugs, etc., plus seasonal items such as ornaments and rabbits for spring time. We've visited Brushfire multiple times and have always had a great experience! read more

I got the crazy idea that I could create a piece of pottery about a year and a half ago. After all, the samples in the window were ADORABLE!!! I could do that!! Well, I finally got the courage to dive in and thought it's not as easy as I had thought, fortunately I found the perfect place to have a success story! I special ordered a piece and it came in wrong--there was not even a whimper of an argument--the piece was re-ordered. It finally came in and it took me forever but I found the time to come in to paint the piece. Be aware--it takes hours to do this...especially for a greenhorn like me! The staff was awesome with their help. You can pay for them to do it for you, but I wanted to at least try to do it myself; it is to be a personal gift and it would mean more if I'm the one who created it. So I set up shop and was there...I kid you not...for at LEAST 6 hours!! But I got it done and picked it up a week later after they fired it. Ya know what? It's pretty good!!! I'm really proud of it! It was a bit pricey. As I said, the piece was special order (it had my recipients' name carved out in the piece--plus it came with a light kit so that it can be illuminated) so that was to be expected. So the piece ended up just over $80 including tax. The cost for all of the time I was there, plus all of the materials used, plus all of the wonderful help I got ran $3!! A sitting is normally $6 but it was 1/2 price Monday! For all of the hassle we went through with the item being wrong and my not getting it in a timely manner, they were gracious enough to give me 2 $6 coupons to use at a future visit...I really like the personal attention there--I felt like I mattered!! Another observation I made...since I virtually set up camp there: the diversity of the clientele! There were moms and grandmoms with their kids; there were dads with their kids, there were parties...and everyone was painting! What an awesome activity to do together! Brushfire is the bomb! read more

I came to Brushfire with a friend recently and we had the whole studio to ourselves. They have so many pieces of pottery to chose from and lots of colors of paint. The people who work there are very friendly and helpful. The awesome thing is that they have painting specials almost every day of the week, so be sure and check their calendar for half off studio fees. I love the atmosphere- they are open late, so you can take your time relaxing and painting. You can even bring in your own food to enjoy while you paint. They sometimes have specials that include ice cream or pizza as well. Great for the whole family, friends, anyone! read more

I love going to this place ,it is awesome! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The only down side is that they have a lot of parties and it can get pretty loud. Also if there is a lot of people it can be hard to get around. Other than that it is amazing. read more

Just had a wonderful night painting at Brushfire! My mom came from out of state and we wanted to have a special night out and found the Brushfire. First off A+ for customer service, the 2 ladies working were so helpful, patient and sweet. They took their time helping us decide what we wanted to paint and gave us lots of tips to get the look we were wanting. Even the music they played was perfect, my mom and I painted and sang along, this will be a special night we'll always remember. Price was great for everything you get. Will be back for sure! read more

Brushfire is a great place for a special night out or just to go and relax. They offer kids birthday parties, adult groups, class classes, and the first in Nashville to offer fused glass classes! They offer lots of specials during the week and if you sign up for their email list (on their website at www.brushfirepottery.com ) they frequently send out coupons and a list of upcoming classes. I recommend bringing a bottle of wine and creating yourself a unique serving piece, if your an adult plan to be there at least 2 hours! read more

What a wonderful experience! My husband and I were in Nashville recently to visit our daughter, a graduate student at Vanderbilt. She suggested we go to Brushfire after some morning sightseeing. The three of us happily spent the rest of the afternoon there. Jude patiently walked us through the instructions, answered our numerous questions, and made suggestions -- all this while helping a large group from an office (perhaps a team-building exercise?) and two mothers with babies. Our pottery was shipped to us, and we were thrilled with the results. Brushfire, you'll be seeing us again the next time we're in town! read more
