Initially, we turned to Anabela for her expertise in repairing a damaged, precious heirloom family painting. She was immediately responsive to our panic and reassured us that she would be able to restore it fully. She took time to explain every step to us. Since art restoration is a lengthy process, she kept us up to date with photos of her progress. In this experience, we learned of her expertise as an artist and framer. We were so pleased with her work, we had her do more work. We have multiple oil paintings painted by my father that we had her clean, varnish, and reframe. Her work is superior and very economical. In one case, we did not care for the frame and she graciously replaced it for us. We still have more work for her to do once we finish some renovation work at the house. We plan for her to varnish all our oils, restretch some canvasses, and reframe many. It has been an utter delight to work so closely with Anabela and look forward to continuing to recommend her to others. read more

I wanted to get a document, two pictures and two tickets nicely framed for my Grandson's first birthday. The objective was to capture our Grandson's first NHL hockey game at the Verizon Center earlier this year. Unfortunately I showed up to Anabela's counter two weeks before his birthday so I thought the deadline might be too tight given the complexity of the project. Fortunately Anabela was able to start work on the project right away and get it back to me in plenty of time for the big event. The final product was beautifully done and captured the event wonderfully! Anabela used a lot of creativity with the matting, beautiful colors and uniquely rounded corners around the certificate. The pictures were perfectly printed and sized to match the tickets also included in the framing. I would most definitely use Anabela again and would highly encourage anyone out there looking for a great framing job to make your way to Brush Stokes Fine Art! read more

Over the course of several years we have acquired three of Anabela's beautiful paintings, for which we have received many compliments. While re-decorating our home we wanted a painting of wine grapes on a vine and decided on commissioning a photo taken by a Napa-based photographer. We approached Anabela regarding the commissioning and she did a very detailed evaluation of the room for the commissioned painting, which included the wood of the furniture in the room, the fabric colors and, of course, the colors in the photo itself - this ensured all these complimented one another. The end result was a gorgeous oil painting rendition of the photograph with perfectly complimenting liner and frame. My wife and I are very happy with her work, customer service, and we would both recommend her to friends and gladly work with her again! read more

I brought a 60 year old oil painting (a sentimental family painting) to Annabella to see if she could restore it. It was dirty, moldy, tarnished and the canvas was brittle and in very bad shape. She painstakingly cleaned it, put a new linen backing on, built a new inner frame for the canvas, repaired the original outside frame, painted in areas that were damaged or needed to be filled in - perfectly matching the original paint colors. She spent hours and hours over 6 weeks working on it. The end result was simply beautiful - it looks like the brand new original now! I can't believe my good fortune in finding Annabella. She is extremely talented, professional, enthusiastic, and joyful to do business with. I can't recommend her highly enough. read more

I bought my first painting from Anabela 10 years ago. Since then I have purchased quite a few more! I love the way Anabela captures nature and all its beauty. Recently, a coworker needed some photo restoration done. Although I had not yet used Anabela myself for photo restoration, I was confident in her ability and I recommended her. She did an amazing job restoring and editing 50 year old wedding photos, and her price was very reasonable. I then needed some photo restoration done myself. Anabela was able to produce exactly what I wanted. She worked with me until I was completely satisfied with the finished product. Kind, professional and very very talented! read more

From another family member I received a painting that I remember from my grandfather's home when I was a small boy. The painting is of a vase (I have the vase as well), is dated 1932, and was in poor repair. A chance meeting with Anabela led to her restoration of the painting. I could not be more pleased. Not only do I have a lovely, beautifully restored piece of art, but she was gracious enough to keep me informed of her progress over the 10-week process and provide a DVD record. She is a special person with a very special talent. I feel gratitude every time I look at the painting - I recommend her work without hesitation. read more

As a recent student of Anabela's watercolor class, I am writing a five-star review because this class got me kick-started from knowing next to nothing about watercolors to having the confidence to go forward on my own. This class is not for the faint-hearted; I was given lots of work to do outside of the class. This is better than a college course - it was one-on-one and it is clear that Anabela has an encyclopedic knowledge of her subject. If you are serious about learning to paint with watercolor, then take this class. Worth every penny. read more

We are delighted with the art restoration services that Anabela, owner of this local business, provided to our 100-year-old oil painting that has been in our family for 3 generations. We learned about her and her success as an art restorer from a certified appraiser of fine art. What a find! She worked steadily and completed the work in less than 2 weeks. What a difference her professional cleaning and restoration of our painting has made. We will proudly return it to a prominent location in our living room! read more

My husband bought me a beautiful painting from Ms Anabela for Christmas. It's a painting of a local lake at sunset and it also came with a very nice custom frame made by Ms Anabela. She displays her artwork periodically at Huntsman Square. I completely fell in love with her work, and once again, my husband surprised me with painting lessons with her! She is full of knowledge and eager to share it all. I have not stopped painting and have even gotten requests from friends and family to paint for them. read more

Our family home was torn down but a couple of the bricks were salvaged. I asked Anabela if she could paint a picture of our home on two of the bricks - one for me and one for my brother. She did a beautiful job and it serves as a wonderful memory of our past. I was thrilled that she was able to do this for us. I also recently purchased one of her glass lazy susans for my kitchen table. It's not only beautiful but really functional. Each piece is individual and beautifully finished. read more

I had a few family paintings that were in need of restoration and cleaning/protecting and reframing. Anabela did a fantastic job, and kept me informed throughout the process telling me what she was doing or had done. She finished the work on time! When I picked up the pieces I was thrilled at how beautiful they turned out. I would definitely use again and highly recommend Anabela for future work. Thank you again Anabela! read more
