Initially, we turned to Anabela for her expertise in repairing a damaged, precious heirloom family painting. She was immediately responsive to our panic and reassured us that she would be able to restore it fully. She took time to explain every step to us. Since art restoration is a lengthy process, she kept us up to date with photos of her progress. In this experience, we learned of her expertise as an artist and framer. We were so pleased with her work, we had her do more work. We have multiple oil paintings painted by my father that we had her clean, varnish, and reframe. Her work is superior and very economical. In one case, we did not care for the frame and she graciously replaced it for us. We still have more work for her to do once we finish some renovation work at the house. I wanted to get a document, two pictures and two tickets nicely framed for my Grandson's first birthday. The objective was to capture our Grandson's first NHL hockey game at the Verizon Center earlier this year. Unfortunately I showed up to Anabela's counter two weeks before his birthday so I thought the deadline might be too tight given the complexity of the project. Fortunately Anabela was able to start work on the project right away and get it back to me in plenty of time for the big event. The final product was beautifully done and captured the event wonderfully! Anabela used a lot of creativity with the matting, beautiful colors and uniquely rounded corners around the certificate. Over the course of several years we have acquired three of Anabela's beautiful paintings, for which we have received many compliments. While re-decorating our home we wanted a painting of wine grapes on a vine and decided on commissioning a photo taken by a Napa-based photographer. We approached Anabela regarding the commissioning and she did a very detailed evaluation of the room for the commissioned painting, which included the wood of the furniture in the room, the fabric colors and, of course, the colors in the photo itself - this ensured all these complimented one another. Our family home was torn down but a couple of the bricks were salvaged. I asked Anabela if she could paint a picture of our home on two of the bricks - one for me and one for my brother.
