We sent our feedback to the owners and got no response at all, so here it is for Cabin 6. We liked having access to a kitchen, and the beds were comfortable. We also liked your pet friendly policy. The kitchen appliances worked well. The bathroom towels were nice. We were surprised that the cabin was advertised to sleep 11, 4 adults and 7 children. We cannot imagine where you would put all those people in that cabin. Our party was 2 adults and a dog. The small common space (kitchen, eating area, LR space) seemed like it would comfortably accommodate 4 people, perhaps 6 max. There is only one bath - one toilet and shower space. No 1/2 bath. That's tough if there are 11 in the cabin. There is no storage/cupboard space in the kitchen for dry groceries. At all. Thankfully, again, it was just 2 of us, so we put our stuff on the counter. in the kitchen, there were insufficient dishes silverware, or glassware (seriously, only 6 dinner knives?) for a group of 11. For a big group, maybe they store their extra dry goods in their car and bring in as needed. Same for clothing storage. One bedroom has a small closet and some pegs to hang clothes from. The other bedroom, nothing, other than some weird peg thing on the back of the door. The loft, when I checked it out, had no storage. So, I guess everyone lives out of duffle bags/suitcases. And the loft is a 90 degree hike on a wooden ladder. if your kiddo is less than 4 or 5, you need to assign as older kiddo in case they need to climb down in the night. There is a damaged door to one of the bedrooms, which we later saw mentioned in an earlier online review. The shower had black mold in it, and there was a good deal of grout missing from the tiles in the bathroom. The mini-split aircon-heater when turned on exuded an odor of urine. Perhaps the filter needs to be cleaned more regularly. Most of the windows didn't open. 1 parking spot for the cabin. There was a random dog on the property, barking, etc. Really irritating. The property owners live in Boise. There are no on site property managers. read more

Cabin#9...is gross. Upon entering, a strong odor of mildew greeted us. We did not want to sit on the furniture, as it was dirty & stained. The floor in front of the dishwasher was "spongy" under the somewhat newer laminate and happened to be the "path" to the outdoor deck. It felt as though one could fall through the floor at any moment. The deck and outdoor furniture were both dirty and someone had left a soiled diaper. Maybe the other cabins are nicer, but I recommend avoiding cabin #9. The cost per night ($340) was exorbitant for what was offered. The list of rules related to pets is laughable considering the condition of this place. We found other accommodations and promptly left. read more

Don't just Don't!! They upgraded my room because there are plumbing issues being done on the property. Non I can see?? The upgraded room had dirty dishes in the dishwasher, the oven cooks to hot set off the alarm as it was filthy and burned the cookies and lasagne had to be microwaved! That worked. The room will make you dizzy as it is slanted horribly. Maybe the plumbing is creating a sink hole?? Dirty pet stains throughout and cobwebs hanging in the doorway of bedroom and bathroom. What a cute rustic little place. We stayed at the inn. I called on a Thursday seeing if I could get a room for Sat and Sunday thinking that there is no way one will be available.. The lady that answered was so very nice! She had a room for us and accommodated us greatly! Now if you are looking for fancy and like to complain about tick tacky things, this is not the place for you. We are woodsy camping hiking people so this fit right in our book. Super cheap for a place to stay in Mccall and will defently stay here again! read more

While not a 5 star facility, this adorable place is probably going to be a favorite. It's a modest little inn, inexpensive, cozy and comfortable enough. Staff was friendly. We only paid $89 a night during Winter Carnival!!! It was a last minute decision to come to McCall, so there were FEW options... and most places really jack up their prices during the festival week ... even the Super 8 rates were near $250 a night! IF one had been available! The inn is 70 years old and has RADIATOR heat... the room went from 55 to 90 very, very S l o w l y... we were sleeping before the room reached 70, but waking up at 2 am to turn DOWN the heat... the temperature drops EQUALLY SLOWLY! Finally got the room to about 75 ... in took 24 hours... 2nd night was better.... oh, yeah... it was 6 degrees outside! Will stay again... but experience & knowledge regarding the heating would have been SOOO helpful.... no housekeeping was provided, but not to difficult to make our own (double) bed... which seemed TINY compared to our king bed at home... plenty of towels. coffee, a microwave and small frig were provided. read more

I just finished my stay at the Brundage Inn. The staff there are so nice. They create a relaxing attitude and the inn is a relaxing place. The rooms are cute, have log frame beds, and I was lucky enough to have a rocking chair in a perfect spot to put my feet up and watch the Olympics after each fun day of skiing. Pueblo Lindo Mexican restaurant is right next door and serves up great food and drinks. I forgot some of my belongings in a drawer and they were quick to get them in to the mail to me. I hadn't been to McCall in 14 years and the last time I stayed here, too. It is the same wonderful lodge that I remembered from then. Thank you Brundage Inn for a wonderful stay! read more

The cottages are super cute on the outside. We stayed in cabin #2 (Donnally Duck). There were a few things that needed repair...the door knob on the bathroom door was very loose, there was a board on the ceiling that was missing in the kitchenette area exposing some ugly insulation and roofing, the kitchen drapery had either one or two broken wall attachments and was hanging, and we couldn't get the front room TV to acknowledge any input other than the DVD (which we couldn't use). Still, there were some nice amenities. The cottage comes with a full kitchenette with granite countertops, the bathroom had a very nice sink and faucet, there were some cute decorations around the room, and the bedroom had another TV (which did work just fine). I would have given the place 3 stars, but the customer service is second to none BAD! VERY RUDE and even sarcastic! Customer service is definitely NOT a high priority with this company. Arriving early (around 1PM) we tried the code we were given, which didn't work. OK...it was snowing so we decided to drive around to take in some of the beauty of the area, went out to eat, and then back to the room again around 3PM. Code still didn't work. We called and were told that if the code didn't work, then the room wasn't cleaned and ready and that check in is at 4PM. SO, we walked around the area and then went back and sat inside the running car outside the room to stay warm and cozy. No cleaning person ever went in or left the room...or any other room for that matter. At 3:40, being tired of sitting in the car, we tried the code again...nope...we called and asked again if the code could be activated. We were told, "Check in is at 4 PM." Really, the code couldn't be activated 20 minutes early to accommodate your guests and get them out of the snow? We didn't say that, we bit our tongue, but to try to tell us that cleaning wasn't completed was an insult! OK, whatever. We sat in the car, watching the snow fall for another 20 minutes and then went in AT 4 PM. The next day we checked out. We thought they should know there were a few repairs needed in the cabin. The response of the girl to us during the call was very sarcastic (maybe passive/aggressive is a better term) when my husband mentioned that we were checking out. "Well, THAT'S very exciting, what can I do for you?" Emphasis on the "That's" and the "I". My husband bit his tongue once again and proceeded to let the girl know of the repairs we had noticed. Which we did because we didn't want them trying to charge us for those repairs. I assume they already knew of them, but there is no one on site so how much they really DO know, we have no idea. Just our opinion, but we would NEVER stay there again, nor would we recommend the place to anyone we know. There are plenty of other options of places to stay to enjoy the beautiful McCall area! And THAT I WOULD recommend! The area is gorgeous! read more

I'm kind of indifferent when it comes to vacations...I'm adaptable, so it doesn't take much to please me. The cabins are cute- very small, very old and decorated very cheesy. The problem? I don't care. It's a bed, the heat works and it has running water. I'm here to run a 30K and glad to have a few days off to spend with my girls. It's convenient. Your literally in front of the lake, a few blocks from downtown and around the bend so it's quiet. There are some obvious flaws- broken blinds, the toilet paper holder is half ripped off the wall, the heat smells when you turn it on, the floors are pretty dirty....but again, if our looking for a 5 star hotel- stay in one, this isn't it. I like to think I'm camping, except I can shower and watch the Notre Dame game on a flat screen. All in all- average, affordable, safe.... read more

Went up here for a romantic anniversary getaway, and found this place on booking.com it was an absolutely beautiful spot across the street from the lake and the bungalows were small cute and absolutely adorable. Was it the cleanest and ritziest place in McCall? Absolutely not but for what I paid for the bungalow was absolutely worth every penny. I love that there was no front desk and all the instructions on how to get into the bungalow were sent via email and made the get away seem even more secluded and amazing. We definitely plan on staying here again next time we are in the McCall area. read more

This hotel was a huge disappointment. The website clearly listed air conditioning and then at check in we were told "we should have checked the reviews" so we would know it did not have AC. The temperature in McCall was 95 degrees over the weekend. The stand up fan in the room was not only disgusting but didn't work. The carpet was grimy and old and the bed was awful. My husband and I are used to roughing it - we pick back woods camp sites with no toilets to camp! This hotel was gross. read more

Stayed here on our daughters recommendation. Main advantage is with the bungalow arrangement you park within a few feet of the front door. We were in black bear #7. Yes the properties are old, pretty worn, and so forth. But you have to know that when you look at the pictures before booking. What tuned us off is the customer service, as it did for others. They offer a military discount which we asked for at booking. When I saw an extra charge on my credit card on check in day, I called to ask about it. Said they were just sitting down to dinner and asked me to send an email. I did and got a reply after we checked out the following day. They said they sent me an email after booking asking for a picture of my ID as proof of service. When they didn't get it they did a second charge for the amount of the discount. Never got the email asking for the ID but I told them I would pay the extra charge. I also sent the photo of my ID so they would know I was not trying to rip them off for $24. When we go back we will be staying somewhere else.. Update on April 16th. Management got back with me; much more hospitable and reversed the extra charge. This was the level of customer service I was looking for the day earlier. Again, a convenient location but make sure you know and follow their policies.. read more

We stayed in cabin 5 which was small but very new and updated on the inside! It is nice because it is the perfect distance from town and from Brundage ski resort! Very clean and well taken care of! They had to be updated recently nice full kitchen, queen bed, futon, full kitchen with dishes, and very new clean bathroom! Very nice because the doors are locked by pin codes which made them a good choice so I did not have to worry about a key! read more

Let me start this review by saying that we never actually stayed at the Brundage Bungalows. It was a shame, because it really looked like a cool place, and the price sounded pretty decent. We were driving through McCall during a big snowstorm and stopped to have a beer and search for places to stay. While dining, we went onto booking.com and booked Bungalow #5. We received an email confirmation with a pin, and showed up an hour or so later to stay for the night. It was nearly 11 p.m., we were tired and looking forward to turning in for the night. No matter how many times I tried the pin sent to my email, it would not open the door. I tried calling the phone number, left a message, then tried calling the "emergency line" which also went to a voicemail message. After forty minutes, we finally got fed up and left, booking a room at the Best Western (which was actually a fabulous hotel for the price). It was a shame, because I wanted to like this place. I like the whole "hands off" booking process, but in this case, I just needed to talk to someone. It seems irresponsible to have an "emergency line" for the guests that goes to voicemail and nobody ever called me back. I gave two stars because through the window, the place looked pretty fun. But the basic part of checking in was not satisfied. It seems funny that we had to work so hard to give someone my money. read more

Best place to stay in McCall. Clean, cozy, great location especially if you're skiing. Not pretentious, embodies the spirit of McCall. The gal up front who I think is the owner is Awesome!!! Goes out of her way to accommodate. If all that isn't enough, they sell beer and wine in the lobby at gas station prices. Will be my go to McCall hotel from now on. read more

My husband, our two dogs and I, recently stayed in a Brundage Bungalow and can't wait to go back! We had so much fun and felt really relaxed. We stayed in the Elmore Elk which has room for up to 3 people. It was roomy enough for all of us. It had a very nice kitchen, stocked with everything you need if you decide to eat or cook in your cabin. Bathroom is smaller but it has a nice stand-up shower, stocked with plenty of towels, which we really appreciated. We enjoyed the electric fireplace which added to the warm and cozy atmosphere. Heating worked wonderfully on a ten degree night! Our cabin also had cable tv so we were able to catch one of our favorite shows while playing cards and getting ready for bed. Great view to the forest area behind us, and even a front view glimpse of the lake! Not to mention location is perfect and walkable to the lake. Tons of deer roaming around when we were there, so that was lovely. We really love quirky, quaint, mom & pop places like this, and we are so happy to have them just a couple hours from Boise. For everything you get, the policies and prices on the bungalows are very reasonable. We look forward to coming back again soon! Thank you for being dog-friendly as well! read more

I would highly recommend this wonderful inn to my family and friends. While in McCall a few weeks ago, we decided to stop in unannounced to see if there was room for our family of 4. The sweet front desk lady was very accommodating and was showing us to a room within minutes. Our entire stay was very pleasant, and even when we ran through all the towels in the room, more were brought to us immediately. The location can't be beat, and the price was very reasonable, especially considering how last-minute we were in requesting a room. I would absolutely stay here again! read more

We stopped in just to check out the place for a future stay. My wife thought the place looked quaint. We walked into an empty lobby and heard the clerk coming from the back. It became apparent really quickly that the clerk (female) was annoyed by our simple presence! We asked about the rooms, rates and amenities and were quickly told that we could find all of that on the website. The clerk by this time was slumped into a chair with her hand holding up her head. Quite frankly it was bizarre. My wife and I looked at each other in disbelief and just left! You guessed it.........we won't be booking a room at this place ever! read more

The bf and I just got back from staying here and have to say, it was totally worth it. I wanted to own a bungalow after staying! We rented #5 and it was adorable. There were a few small things that were off, but not enough to make us dissatisfied. I especially loved the attention to details through out the cabin so you were fully aware of how things ran and where to look if you needed something. The queen bed was pretty good, but not something you would want to sleep in all day. :) We used the futon only as a couch. The bathroom was small, but no complaints. I giggled over the black towel embroidered for make up, very smart in my opinion. We ate dinner at the local Chinese restaurant over looking the lake and breakfast the next day at The Pancake House. It was truly a lovely and peaceful a couple days away. I highly recommend the bungalows for anything! From a small personal scale to a larger family reunion. read more

Beware. Adorable on the outside. Stayed in #5. Qn bed with Qn futon. Bed hard on back. Windows don't stay open, be cautious if you prop up they can still drop & can be deadly. (Very old, heavy, chipped paint.) Shower knob doesn't work. So either very cold/hot shower. No elbow room in shower whatsoever. The worst is the deadbolt on front door didn't work correctly. You stand there forever trying to lock it & you must carry key because when you close door to sit outside, it locks you out. However, I can say they were clean. Bungalow #6 seemed nicer, newer. Stayed in cabin #5, which has been completely remodeled,very attractive on the inside with all the modern appliances, dishwasher, TV, microwave and also wifi. This quaint roadside Inn has almost as much personality as the Inn Keeper. It's charming and reasonably priced! Perfect for a summer at the lake , or a winter on the mountain. The rooms are comfortable and quiet , and there is a Mexican eatery attached which makes things very convenient when you've had one too many margaritas! The flowers are amazing , and the lodge feel of the Inn is perfect in this beautiful mountain town! read more

I stayed here with my wife this past week (July 2016) and had a great experience. The Bungalows are small, cute, tidy, and come with a full kitchenette (which is great to have). Staying at this place is a little unique in that they do not have a front desk and all instructions are sent to you via email, thought they do have a phone # to call if you have additional questions. Fortunately we had nothing unusual happen during our stay and did not need to try and contact management after hours (I assume this would be difficult given the lack of a front office/desk). If you are looking for a cool place to stay that's right across from the lake, somewhat affordable and very private then this is the place for you! If my wife and I ever make it back to McCall, ID we will certainly stay here again! PS Drive 25MPH exactly near this hotel/on Lake Front: I was pulled over and cited for speeding though I'm sure I wasn't going more than 5 MPH above the limit.
