Great mimosa, special and solid breakfast option. This location definitely gives off chain restaurant vibes, but has a good menu and very obviously specializes in brunch. We were quick to notice that mimosas were on special for just three dollars. They were basically goblets of mimosa and they had four flavors to choose from. I went with the strawberry and also got to try the pineapple. Absolutely delicious! The all-American breakfast was nice. I liked the great big pancake. The potatoes were kind of simple, but we're cooked all the way. Also, I asked for my bacon to be crispy and they definitely delivered on that. Service was friendly, but not super attentive. We were only checked on at the beginning for drinks, when they brought out our food, and then we ended up waiting a bit to get the check. We would've ordered more mimosas, but I think they may have been slightly understaffed. There are definitely better brunch options in Wilmington, but this place had no wait on a busy weekend and I was happy with the food. I was told this establishment has gone down in their food. It tasted decent to me. I was disappointed that they ran out of their pancake special. We went at 9am, and they opened at 7am, so it wasn't that late, and it wasn't crazy busy on a Tuesday morning. I instead ordered the All-American classic: eggs over hard, pancakes, bacon and grits. It was okay; nothing special. My husband got the hot honey chicken and waffles. He liked the sweet spicy honey sauce that was on the chicken. He still wanted syrup for his waffles, so had to ask for that. He did say he wished his waffles were a bit more crispy as they felt too soft. We were with friends, and one had to send back her tater tots as they came out cold. The waitress was very nice about it and she provided good service to our party of 6. We also had mimosas. They were bigger than expected but very good! Seems small on outside, but it's quite big inside. Appears to accommodate large parties, if needed. Hey guys! So this was my first trip to N. Carolina to visit my current husband's family and I loved it! We got an Airbnb nearby and my hubby wanted me to try this place because it's super busy on weekends. We got here on a Monday morning the last week of April and it was busy in the patio area. Kid-friendly, dog-friendly and the view was great! The food & service was great too! I forgot the server's name but she was really nice and recommended yummy items. Must try it all! Obviously had to try this place during brunch on Sunday! Noticed they have mimosa drinks in a few flavors, so hubby got the cranberry. Not bad, but the OG drink would probably be best. Hubby ordered the biscuits and gravy, and I got the classic breakfast, with the fried jalapeno grits. And honestly, the star was the grits! Who knew adding jalapeno to grits would be so delicious! Apparently I forgot to do a review from my last soo there so this will be a combo review. The first stop in a couple of months ago I got the all-American breakfast with the cin-a-bun pancakes which came with your meat of.choice eggs and home fries. During this visit I ordered a platter that came with your choice of breakfast meat, eggs your way, and tots with a biscuit. I also ordered a side of gravy. When the food was delivered I asked for my side of gravy. The server point it out and it was only a little 2 oz cup of gravy at best, definitely not enough for a biscuit of that size. I asked for more gravy and the waitress brought it out promptly. Now let me just say when you order a mimosa here you get a huge glassful. Previously my friends and I ordered all different flavors while this time I ordered a pineapple mimosa with a shot of pineapple vodka in it. This glass was massive and it was strong. Maaaaan, this place is not it. I'm not sure if the window sill full of dead flies or the bare bones menu was the more blatant hint we should have just gone elsewhere, but we didn't end up changing venues and we regretted it for the next 90 minutes. Party of 6, 10:30am on a Wednesday, the place was relatively full but not slammed and we got seated immediately which was nice at least. Went to order drinks, mostly waters and morning coffee and immediately the waitress seemed overly intent on getting us to peruse the alcohol menu. This wasn't really that off putting on its own given the "Yay, Mimosas!" vibe of the place, but after we had ordered our food and proceeded to wait a solid 45 minutes before anything came out, we started wondering if maybe they push the drinks so hard because they know your food isn't coming out any time soon and dont want you sober enough to complain about it. Backtracking to the menu for a second, this thing is only a single page front and back, which is fine, but the issue is the menu you're given isn't the whole menu. Pancakes aren't even listed as a dish or an a la carte item, only as part of two of the big breakfast meal things, even though you *can* order them separately. They also don't tell you about different kinds even though you can get blueberries, chocolate chip or cinnamon roll varieties. They have both pork and turkey sausages, but only bacon, tots, and fruit are listed as sides. It seems like the actual menu is almost a whole other page larger than what you can see. Now back to that 45 minute wait, that was completely ridiculous. If it had just been slow it would have been chalked up to "ah, they're a little busy, it happens" but almost everything that came out was subpar. Sausage, cold. Waffles, cold. Steak, cold. Bacon, cold. Eggs, ordered over medium, were actually so liquid we weren't sure they were even cooked at all or just cracked onto the plate next to the stove and told to pretend to be cooked. Out of 6 people's food, maybe 30% of it was cooked correctly and above room temperature. The only redeeming quality about my individual dish was that the piece of chicken sitting atop my soggy room temperature waffle and imitation maple syrup plate was actually pretty tasty and seemingly the only item that came out fresh and hot. The cherry on top was that after the wait and the mediocre food the waitress came back to take plates and asked us how everything was and most of us just gave a little half hearted smile and didn't say anything one way or the other, but one of our party did speak up and mentioned some things had come out pretty cold and she just replied with the most insincere, bless your heart ass "aww, im sorry about that" and kept on taking plates. Honestly the only reason this is getting two stars instead of one is because I can't reasonably put too much blame on the staff for the table who decided to put their beer/mimosa towers right next to their 6 month old child who was losing his ever loving mind the entire time of our visit. It was honestly the worst restaurant experience I've had in years and an honestly awful way to have started our day. read more

Customer service wise: Easy walk in and sit for a late lunch. Lots of staff standing around but we've been seated for 15 min waiting for a drink order. Tons of young hostesses and wait staff you'd think they'd come over by now. One at least was sweeping and cleaning so that's good. Interior: bar area with high tables and stools. Separately there is a room with bunch of booths great to seat up to 6 to 10. An entire back overflow room with mixed seating for high tables and low. They can accommodate crowds so it's great for its location. Wait staff: very nice. Dealt with the ADHD younger one really good and his 'when heart met sally' style ordering (eg: remove the ice from water and lemon on side) ha. Food: little ordered the all American kids brunch and opted for a side of fruit. I ordered the recharge bowl. Praying it's not salty like the Mayfair one so this is take 2. For those that hate spicy: The recharge bowl is VERY spicy. Not just a bit or a kick- this is burn from the tongue through your intestines spicy and to glasses of water later that peanut sauce is going to linger into next week. The little ate everything and loved the pancake because it was not 'mushy' and had a little crunch. Eggs are the artificial kind but the serving was pretty good size. Drinks: we didn't do drinks today and stuck with water. Next time we return we will try a speciality drink (or 2). We will be back for quick meals here and there but I think I'll stick to breakfast and or burgers. Ha read more

The other table was sat before us and was still waiting on the food as we were leaving. Once we did get our food, I was not impressed with the hibachi (should have known better) the burger and buffalo chicken Mac and cheese was good. We started off with the crispy Brussels ($11.95), then for entrees got the seafood Mac & cheese ($24.95), and fried flounder basket ($17.95). Everything was good, couldn't finish everything. The portion of the brussels sprouts was huge, like a meal portion. Brussels were fried crispy, came with chopped pieces of canned peaches, some pieces of candied pecans, drizzled with a sweet white balsamic vinaigrette. The mac & cheese was super creamy. Came with crab, shrimp, scallops in a lobster cream sauce. The fried flounder was crispy on the outside and the flounder itself was tender. Came with fries, which were crispy. Kids menu is available. He had the queso smothered burrito full of ham, bacon, eggs, cheese, and I had the biscuits and gravy topped with eggs. My husband said his was a little dry, wasn't really smothered in queso. I told him to ask for more. But my biscuits and gravy was AMAZING. Our waitress was great, very attentive. And because we were there between 7:30 and 9 o'clock, we received 20% off our food bill. Great Food and Great Service! I wasn't sure what to expect it being 4th of July weekend but we were went early (8:00 am) and had no issues getting a table or with service. The Mimosas are a half a bottle of champagne each so prepare for a nap if you have more than one I do wish there was more of a water view for breakfast inside of the enclosed side patio and that you could sit up top for breakfast but other than that no complaints. Went in the evening of 7/3 Fireworks so it was Federal Point Grille. First full week being open so there are still some kinks to work out but they were well staffed and service was solid. Menu is well designed for CB and has a large inside bar (didn't make it upstairs yet). Was well renovated with little sign of the former place that was here. First off the space is open and bright and clean. It's a fun and casual environment. They have an enclosed patio space that is dog friendly. The service I've had here has always been wonderful. The bartenders and servers are always friendly and seem to go above and beyond whenever possible. The drinks I've had have been great. I tried a Reese's coffee cocktail that was delicious. And I had a strawberry pineapple mimosa that was very good. I've been eyeing the shots, particularly the bday one. They have a lot of fun drinks to choose from. My issue here is with the food. I've eaten here twice now and both times the food was below average. My first food experience was with their hibachi which I would not call hibachi at all. It's more of a veggie bowl with white rice. I asked for no mushrooms in mine. (It's an allergy.) I ordered it with the steak cooked med rare and shrimp. When it came out I noticed the onions were missing and there were mushrooms in it. The zucchini was raw. The bartender was pretty busy and I didn't want to bother her so I ended up picking the mushrooms out. They were big enough that I wasn't worried I might end up eating one. I just really hate to waste food. So after taking the mushrooms out and the onions being forgotten I had a bowl of white rice with raw zucchini and then my proteins. The bartender never checked on me until I was done and asking for a box. She looked at me quizzically when she saw my side plate of mushrooms. I told her they did no onion instead of no mushrooms. It was fine tho. She was super apologetic. The steak was over cooked and under seasoned and may have been cut wrong because it was very tough and chewy. The shrimp was super salty to where it was on the line of inedible. Again, I don't like to waste food so I brought it home so I could try and fix it. The next day I added onion to my leftovers and was able to cook the zucchini. It was better. The next time I went I ordered the shrimp and grits. The grits were great! The shrimp again was super salty but right on the line so some bites were saltier than others. I was also able to try their pancakes and those were pretty delicious so that's something I'd order in the future. Or maybe a burger. I would go here again mainly because of the service and my curiosity about some of the drinks. Food seems to be hit or miss. I do know they are still pretty new so maybe after some time some of these issues will iron out. read more
