    Pineapple mimosa
    Esther JC S.

Hey guys! So this was my first trip to N. Carolina to visit my current husband's family and I loved it! We got an Airbnb nearby and my hubby wanted me to try this place because it's super busy on weekends. We got here on a Monday morning the last week of April and it was busy in the patio area. Kid-friendly, dog-friendly and the view was great! The food & service was great too! I forgot the server's name but she was really nice and recommended yummy items. Must try it all! I can't remember what I got to eat but the mimosa was delicious. Just ask the server what they recommend.

Every single food we had was amazing! The place was nice and welcoming. Love that they have a huge parking space. Our server Cat was phenomenal! We will be back!

Obviously had to try this place during brunch on Sunday! Noticed they have mimosa drinks in a few flavors, so hubby got the cranberry. Not bad, but the OG drink would probably be best. Hubby ordered the biscuits and gravy, and I got the classic breakfast, with the fried jalapeno grits. And honestly, the star was the grits! Who knew adding jalapeno to grits would be so delicious! I will say this place can get very loud during a busy time, so FYI. Otherwise, the space is decent and simple. 4/10 - I would only come back for the grits, sorry not sorry

Classic brunch spot. Our server was very nice. Good paced service. Good pancakes. Big open space inside.

Great mimosa, special and solid breakfast option. This location definitely gives off chain restaurant vibes, but has a good menu and very obviously specializes in brunch. We were quick to notice that mimosas were on special for just three dollars. They were basically goblets of mimosa and they had four flavors to choose from. I went with the strawberry and also got to try the pineapple. Absolutely delicious! The all-American breakfast was nice. I liked the great big pancake. The potatoes were kind of simple, but we're cooked all the way. Also, I asked for my bacon to be crispy and they definitely delivered on that. Service was friendly, but not super attentive. We were only checked on at the beginning for drinks, when they brought out our food, and then we ended up waiting a bit to get the check. We would've ordered more mimosas, but I think they may have been slightly understaffed. There are definitely better brunch options in Wilmington, but this place had no wait on a busy weekend and I was happy with the food. If you are a brunch person, this place delivers in terms of being really big with lots of seating and having a lot of brunch menu items.

Cin a bun pancakes sausage scrambled eggs and home fries

Was in Carolina Beach this weekend and wanted to grab breakfast. We stopped in at Brunches. We were greeted and seated quickly. This is a casual brunch spot with good food and amazing mimosa's. Apparently I forgot to do a review from my last soo there so this will be a combo review. The first stop in a couple of months ago I got the all-American breakfast with the cin-a-bun pancakes which came with your meat of.choice eggs and home fries. During this visit I ordered a platter that came with your choice of breakfast meat, eggs your way, and tots with a biscuit. I also ordered a side of gravy. When the food was delivered I asked for my side of gravy. The server point it out and it was only a little 2 oz cup of gravy at best, definitely not enough for a biscuit of that size. I asked for more gravy and the waitress brought it out promptly. Now let me just say when you order a mimosa here you get a huge glassful. Previously my friends and I ordered all different flavors while this time I ordered a pineapple mimosa with a shot of pineapple vodka in it. This glass was massive and it was strong. Great spot to grab brunch and a very tasty drink.

Customer service wise: Easy walk in and sit for a late lunch. Lots of staff standing around but we've been seated for 15 min waiting for a drink order. Tons of young hostesses and wait staff you'd think they'd come over by now. One at least was sweeping and cleaning so that's good. Interior: bar area with high tables and stools. Separately there is a room with bunch of booths great to seat up to 6 to 10. An entire back overflow room with mixed seating for high tables and low. They can accommodate crowds so it's great for its location. Wait staff: very nice. Dealt with the ADHD younger one really good and his 'when heart met sally' style ordering (eg: remove the ice from water and lemon on side) ha. Food: little ordered the all American kids brunch and opted for a side of fruit. I ordered the recharge bowl. Praying it's not salty like the Mayfair one so this is take 2. For those that hate spicy: The recharge bowl is VERY spicy. Not just a bit or a kick- this is burn from the tongue through your intestines spicy and to glasses of water later that peanut sauce is going to linger into next week. The little ate everything and loved the pancake because it was not 'mushy' and had a little crunch. Eggs are the artificial kind but the serving was pretty good size. Drinks: we didn't do drinks today and stuck with water. Next time we return we will try a speciality drink (or 2). We will be back for quick meals here and there but I think I'll stick to breakfast and or burgers. Ha

We have stopped by once if not twice everyday on our week at the beach. Friendly welcoming staff , the food is great. Cocktails at 7am. $1 mimosas. Avocado toast and shrimp and grits are delicious

Amazing! They have such a variety of options, there's something for everyone. Our server was fantastic! We got two mimosa flights (they're known for the mimosas. A regular mimosa has half a bottle of champagne- as it should) this is a great place to watch the Thursday fireworks because they have a rooftop deck and they do half priced hibachi on Thursdays too. I don't think anything you get would be bad. Can't wait to go back!

I absolutely recommend Brunches! Cat was our vivacious server. Her enthusiasm is contagious. The breakfast Tacos were delicious with a topping of guacamole. And the bacon was cooked to perfection. My husband had Biscuits and Sausage Gravy. He said it was so flavorful and comforting. We'd will come back.

Gabby and Ainsley are the sweetest! Can't wait to see them on the rooftop this summer!!

Food service and atmosphere are the best. We love CB Brunches! Can't wait for the weather to warm up so we can enjoy the rooftop bar with Ainsley and Gabby! We also love Cat and Alana.

BLT with fried green tomato. Yum. This was a great sandwich with a side of plain grits. The butter toasted bread on a hot stove top along with the egg, bacon and fried green tomatoes was a lovely paring. Cooking the toast like this was an added touch that most restaurants don't do. Great bunch spot within walking distance to the beach.

It's an added plus that the food comes with their own recipes they use to cook with (I believe) I totally will use the fired chicken recipe they had! Everything was either high fat, meat heavy or deep fried. Just a side salad would have been great. They were short staffed so I will not comment on the service other than it's customary to ask if there will be separate checks with a large table. The server dropped one check off and it took another 30 minutes to get separate checks. I had the cheesesteak sandwich. I like mine with lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise in addition to the traditional toppings. I was happy to see they make them the way that I prefer. When I got my sandwich however, there was very little meat and toppings and it was mostly bread. Everything is à la carte, so my onion rings were an additional 5 dollars and some change on top of the 14.50 sandwich and 3.50 drink. 45 dollars for an ok sandwich meal and a kids meal. It's cheaper to get appetizers for some things than the "baskets." There's also 4 different prices for the same item which is very confusing. I like to support local businesses but they didn't have anything I'd be back for. Vegetables on the menu would be amazing. Closest thing they had to a vegetable were sandwich toppings and "fried corn" which is actually a starch. And deep fried?

"Delicious dive on Lake Park Blvd in Carolina Beach"…read more Came here for lunch on a Sunday at right around noon. The place is dark and kind-of makes you feel like you're in the bowels of a wooden ship. There's a large bar in the center, and a few tables around it, as well as a few tables outside in the back. We were seated right away. I ordered the hot honey shrimp wrap as well as the pickled veggies appetizer. My dining partner got the quinoa grain and greens bowl with blackened tuna. Our food came out in around 10 minutes. The hot honey shrimp wrap came with french fries, to my surprise (didn't see that mentioned on the menu), which were fine. The wrap itself was DELICIOUS. MAN, that hot honey was SO tasty, and the greens and corn batter on the shrimp really complemented it well. It is a very, very messy dish to eat with your hands, so be prepared, but it's well worth the sacrifice. The pickled veggies were local and very tasty-- also a very good value for $5. My dining partner really liked her bowl and the tuna in it as well. The staff were quite attentive, regularly checking in, filling drinks, and clearing dirty plates. Only caution is that a lot of the batters are corn-based, so be careful if you have that allergy. Overall, would very happily come back-- great in all respects. I recommend highly!

If you're looking for one of those places where everything just lines up--the weather, the food,…read morethe mood--this is it. Out on the pier at Tiki Bar & Ocean Grill, you've got a front-row seat to the Atlantic, and on a day like today, it doesn't get much better. Blue sky, sun hitting the water just right, and a breeze that reminds you why people have been coming to the coast long before fancy resorts showed up. Food Simple answer: they've got it dialed in. Fresh, well-prepared, and exactly what you want at the beach. No overthinking it--just good coastal food done right. That's how it's supposed to be. Service Friendly, easygoing, and attentive without hovering. The kind of service that makes you feel welcome but doesn't interrupt your view--or your drink. Atmosphere This is where they really win. Sitting out over the water with string lights overhead and waves rolling in? That's hard to beat anywhere. Now, yes--the beach itself has those big metal pipes running through for replenishment. Not exactly postcard material. But here's the truth: once you're up on that pier, looking out over the ocean, it barely matters. The view still does what it's supposed to do--makes you slow down and stay a while. Final Take Great food, solid service, and a view that carries the whole experience. Even with the beach work going on, this place delivers what a coastal spot should: good eats, cold drinks, and a reason to sit a little longer than you planned. If the weather's right, don't overthink it--grab a seat, order something simple, and enjoy it the way folks have been doing for generations.
