They are famous for live music every night, and we had a great guitarist who played lots of classic rock and country, and took requests. We learned this location will be torn down on October 3, and a new one built across the street. The food was great! Because of the reviews, I decided to try the ahi tuna nachos. And because I like produce I also got a side of steamed broccoli. Both were delicious! The nachos were huge- I only ate like half before getting full! The broccoli was also delicious and I'm so glad I incorporated it. My husband enjoyed his fish and fries too! Stopped in for a drink around 8:40pm not realizing that they closed at 9pm. Hostess said wasn't a problem and we sat a pretty full bar area. Seems as if their closing time is a suggestion as they had live music and food was till being brought out. There are high top tables, a dining area, and a bar. It's an outdoor venue. Very beachy vibe. Super fun with the live music too. Service was great. Bartender was friendly and quick. The margarita was good, as was the beer. We didn't stay long after our one drink. The music stopped around 9:10pm. Apparently they have music frequently. Our Uber driver told us that this is their last season as a restaurant since they are tearing down the building and making a hotel of some sort. read more

Went here on a quiet Tuesday evening this Tuesday before Labor Day weekend. ItItss an open air restaurant not far from the boardwalk and beach. They will be shutting down in October and rebuilding at another location across the street. The staff was very friendly and there was some really good live music, which they are famous for having life music most nights. The food was excellent. My got the ahi tuna nachos and a side of broccoli and I got the fisherman's shrimp basket. The portions were very generous and the shrimp were excellent. my wife loved her nachos. Super fun restaurant and live music venue! The wait can be long especially during the busy season and holidays. We had over an hour wait, but honestly it's not that big of a deal. You can wait at one of the restaurant's two bars (one in the front and one in the back), or grab a seat at a table or high top in the bar areas (if you're lucky enough to snag one) where there is open seating and a full service menu. Or take that drink and head to the stage area and enjoy some live music while you wait. The food was a bit of a hit and miss. Our appetizer, the seared ahi wonton nachos were the bomb. Perfectly seared and tender ahi, fresh and crispy wontons, with a very tasty wasabi aioli to tie it all together. My BLT was a bit dry, and my wife's fried flounder sandwich was a bit over cooked and lacking a bit in the toppings department. A lonely tomato with a single piece of lettuce, and the smallest onion ring you could possible pick from the stack. But the fun atmosphere, outdoor style seating throughout and the amazing live music with a stage and room to get your move on make up for it. "Delightful seafood, entertainment, and more in Carolina Beach" Stopped by here on a holiday Saturday night at just after 6pm, party of 2. Amazingly, we were able to get a table right away. The place is mostly "open air" with two covered areas and a few spots in the sun. A few folks had dogs there, too. They also have little spinny things on the table to keep flies away (apparently called "fly fans"). Note, enter on the beach-side, not the other side, to meet the host. There's also a stage inside for entertainment (which started later than we were there, but the band was setting up). We ordered the ahi tuna nachos, and I got a crabcake sandwich. My partner got black pearl salad. Food came out in under 20 minutes, which was impressive given the place was HOPPING. The ahi tuna nachos were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. They had bits of mango, a delicious sauce, really good nachos (made from wonton wrappers), and the tuna was amazing (served rare). It was about $20, but a very large helping. This would make a great meal for one person eating that alone. The crabcake was fine-- nothing unusual but tasty. I may not order that again, but it was good. My dining partner said the black pearl salad was really good and liked the blackberries, feta, and walnuts in it as well as the vinaigrette. Our drinks got refilled, and plates were taken away quickly when we finished any part of the meal. Our server was really nice, too. Overall, I would happily go back, and DEFINITELY want that ahi tuna nachos dish again. I recommend-- very good. read more

We have driven by here for years and it looked kind of beat down and we were unsure what was inside. With Yelp help, I realized this is an awesome restaurant and hang out place! They have live music, outside games, inside/ outside eating, a full sized bar area. I got the Mahi sandwich and fries and my wife got a Baked potato and side salad. We came here on a Friday night around 9 PM and outdoor seating was the only available option. The palm trees surrounding us were beautiful, but it was breezy and very loud with the nearby live band. We decided to head back around 5:30 PM the next day and we were seated right away indoors. The server was very attentive and friendly. They have half price appetizers before 7 PM, and I ordered a pound of peel and eat shrimp for a very good price. My husband said the beef sliders were really good. I was disappointed to find out that the shrimp wasn't fresh since it's off season but they were still good with the drawn butter and cocktail sauce. They validate valet parking in their small private lot, but be prepared to pay at least six dollars an hour if you don't get in that parking space. read more

What a great way to end an awesome beach weekend! Live music, great food and outdoor seating so we could bring our dogs! We had made reservations as we had a pretty big party. We arrived and were seated immediately. We ordered just about everything on the menu and it was all fantastic! The standout for me was the fried mozzarella! I actually stopped eating my burger (also very good) so I could order another round of the gooey fried cheese. The wait staff was on fire! This is our favorite place for dinner and drinks in Carolina Beach. The Shrimp Alfredo and Crab Dip are excellent and we haven't had a drink we didn't like. The staff is so awesome and friendly. The only issue we had this last visit was how hot and humid (heat index that day hit 103) it was, and there is no A/C in this mostly open air restaurant. Our waitress got to us fairly quickly but honestly seemed like she had zero interest in being there at all. On the good side, we learned that on Friday evenings, appetizers are half price!
