Kirsten is absolutely phenomenal. We have had her as a waitress many times. Food is always amazing. Over all a great place!

Food was good, service was very attentive on a Saturday night My husband had shrimp over pasta, and I had the Bacon Jam and Gouda burger. Do not skip this, it was outstanding! Sadly, I had chosen this restaurant because of the outdoor waterfront seating, but it was rainy all day on and off, so we sat inside, either a nice window view of the marina. lol g forward to another time when we can sit outside. read more

Service was excellent, only reason I am not giving 5 stars is they had very loud music blasting and it was annoying. The place is clean . I had read the mixed reviews and wanted to try this place on a Saturday night. My bf and I sat at the bar and were quickly approached by the bartender who was very attentive and friendly. I wasn't certain which Pinot Grigio to order so she brought me 3 different samples which was super helpful. I went with the house which was very reasonably priced. My bf got an ipa on tap. He ordered a burger with fries and I got a small garden salad with fried chicken on top. Both were fine, nothing epic, but solid choices! The fries were really great...just the right amount of crunch and seasoned well. We switched to espresso martinis for dessert. So good!! The friendliness or both bartenders as well as the food server was amazing. All were very attentive. A soloist performed in the bar area while we were eating. He played some BeeGees, Alman Brothers Band, and some chill laid back vibes. There was college football and MLB on TVs around the bar area while we were there. Overall, a nice and convenient spot to eat and drink. We will be back for sure! read more

I was so excited when I saw a advertisement for their "off season" specials a couple weeks ago cuz they advertised prime rib on Tuesday for $22!!! So I planned a Tuesday dinner for my friend who loves prime rib cuz it was his birthday. Got there early to ensure a table, ordered drinks, the waitress came over and asked if we were ready order. We had looked at the menu, but all of us were focused on the prime rib and having been there before and finding most menu items lacking, we told her we all wanted the special. She looked concerned, but said she'd have to ask. Came back to the table & gave us the bad news, Prime Rib not on Tuesday, only Thursday. No FB post to correct their error. No warning when being seated by the hostess. Total customer service fail. Too bad. Won't be back there any time soon read more

Recently made a reservation for 20-25 people for a celebration of life lunch for a family member. it took a couple of weeks to connect with management to confirm the reservation. Later confirmed several times via text, and a phone call from the restaurant on the morning of the event. We had relatives coming from several states. Didn't ask for a special menu and there was to be only one check. Just requested 4-5 tables together for a couple of hours starting at 11am. Upon arriving, it was stated what party we were there for and the response was "sit anywhere you like" Well, that's all fine and good except we had to sit apart from each other. What was the purpose of making a reservation? I was assured all would be taken care of and it wasn't. In addition, there was a DJ for some reason. I guess it is part of the Sunday line-up. I get it; however, it was extremely loud. When the DJ was asked if the volume could be lowered just a notch, he abruptly and rudely stated no. When asked if he could put one of the TVs on a different game than the same one game on 2 tv's playing side by side in front of us, he said that game is on down there..at the other end of the bar. Well, we were not sitting at the other end of the bar. We had 16 people sitting there. Don't get me wrong, the food is excellent. Never disappointed. I just wish that the management could have done a better job at accommodating us or communicating to us that this is not something they wanted to or could do. I would have gladly taken my $700-$800 worth of business to Jack Mackerels. It was our intent to hang out after the luncheon, watch football and have a few cocktails. But after the rudeness of the DJ, we took our business elsewhere. He needs a new job and/or some interpersonal skills courses. It is my understanding he is also a manager. I would definitely recommend the restaurant for it's food and wait staff, but the management team dropped the ball on this one. read more

My husband and I had an early dinner here, and there were not many customers when we got there so we were seated immediately. Service was good and the waitresses were super kind. I got the shrimp scampi and my husband got the jumbo crab cakes. Very good food. The women's bathroom did smell like cigarettes when I used it, so that was mildly unfortunate. The good...wings...Canal Wedge Sa!lad...Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail...Mahi Tacos! The portions were great and the flavor was on point! You have indoor/outdoor dining options. We visited during a big event on the water and the open seating at the bar was packed! The front sign said seat yourself so we went into the dining area... after finding the server to let her know we sat ourselves she let us know only the bar was open.... Our daughter is currently in chemotherapy so is immunocompromised so when I asked for a table away from the crowd she was the sweetest and let us stay in the dining area. The pumpkin cider and beer on tap were amazing. The ahi tuna nachos were delish, and even when others came into the dining area the server didn't turn them away, even though I felt bad it changed up their seating plan. Went on a Wednesday night, 20 minute wait for 4, not too bad. All servers were so amazing and helpful even taking photos for our group. Manager came outside and turned on fairy lights for us. Shrimp scampi was a little bland but overall tasted lovely. Chicken Alfredo was the same, yummy but needed seasoning. Fries were very yummy with a nice crunch. Clam chowder was not great. Cream had separated, was not fresh. Oysters were okay. Drinks were good! Server and staff were awesome. Did not want to order more food after eating the clam chowder. It sort of turned my hunger off knowing how long it had probably been sitting in a hot pan. read more

Everyone is so rude. Hostess was so disrespectful the second we walked in. The server just as bad. Didn't get our drinks till after we finished our meal. First we waited over an hour only to be told AT THE TABLE that their oven had been broken all day so you couldn't get most of the dishes that involve sea food. We visited in bad moods because we were extremely hungry, and we got an intuitive server who could pick up on the hungry vibes and got us drinks right away, and food very shortly after. I love getting my food quickly, but I love it even better when I get my food quickly and it's really good! I ordered the Captain's Fish Sandwich, which was tasty and crunchy and greasy yet light. It came with my choice of a side, and I chose pasta salad. We also ordered the blackened tuna Stoked up Island Tacos, which came with a mango salsa on top and a side of coleslaw. The fish tacos were equally tasty, and it's just nice to eat fish so close to the beach. Speaking of the beach, Stoked is located right near the water, tucked into a harbor, and it even has boat docking access. They have patio seating, of course, and you can sit outside and see the boats coming and going, and the water lapping and doing whatever it is that water does. Stoked is a solid restaurant choice if you're in the area, and I would definitely come back and try other things on the menu. read more

Great for large parties and kid friendly. We had a party of 7 and was seated fairly quickly. A lot of stuff was not on the menu. But hey it means they did good last night. Full bar available. I ordered the poke bowl and it was delicious! Packed full of flavors and my husband ordered the shrimp quesadilla which was also drool worthy! A good selection on kids meals too from pastas to grilled cheese. They have on site parking. I would recommend carpooling during high volume time. Bathrooms were very clean. And FYI they have the soap scrub available to purchase too! read more

Service ruined the meal. Several dishes sent out wrong and major attitude from waitress because we asked to have the food made to how we order it. My daughter even felt bad bc she had to send hers back. No kid should feel that from anyone in the service industry. 3 meals sent wrong, no apology and eye rolls when we asked to fix with sighs. 8 of us for a Friday night special dinner that was not cheap and the food could have maybe been worth it but the service and actions of the staff ruined it. This place has a very relaxed atmosphere with parking and it's located on the canal in Carolina Beach. Nice location with attentive wait staff. The food was very good and reasonably priced. I had a quinoa salad bowl and it was so good and got it again on my second visit. The outdoor seating is great for good weather. Nice casual eating. read more

I am 65 years old and have been eating out at restaurants since I was a teenager. I have never written a bad review about a restaurant until now. This was the worst dining experience of my life. We arrived at 7:00 p.m. and asked for an outdoor table. Hostess said it would be a half hour wait. No problem. We got a drink and hung out on the back deck. While hanging out, I noticed that there were some empty tables. After forty-five minutes, I went back and checked with the hostess who said she couldn't tell me how long the wait was and that they weren't seating anyone right now so the kitchen could catch up. We were just about to leave when we got a text that our table was ready. It was now 8:00 p.m. They seated us outside and no one came to check on us. 20 minutes later I go back to the hostess to see what the issue is. She says she'll get someone to us right away. 5 minutes later the hostess comes and takes our order herself. We have now been waiting for almost an hour and a half and no one has apologized for the wait. We finally get our food around 9:00 p.m. By 9:15, a busser comes buy and asks if he can clear the table. 5 minutes later the waitress asks if she can bring us the check. Mind you, we still have not received an apology for this atrocious service. The waitress brings the check, full price, no apology. I have close friends who are in the restaurant business. I understand that bad things happen sometimes. But no apology, no free drinks or dessert. Nothing. Worst dining experience of my life. read more

My boyfriend and I came by yesterday for dinner while in town for vacation. It was pretty quiet since it was a rainy Sunday so we got seated quickly. Clean and modern interior for a nice sit-down dinner and our server was very sweet and friendly (although I'm not sure of her name). We got the calamari, shrimp poboy with cheese grits, and the poke bowl with salmon. Ultimately the food was pretty good and the prices were reasonable. Only two things that could have been better: the Sundrop soda tasted very watered down and the sushi rice in the poke bowl may have been fried a little too long as there were some very hard grains with each bite that were a little jarring to bite down on. Parking was very easy and there are also several large TVs inside, so this could be a great spot for sports fans! read more

Our waitress, Anna, was wonderful. I got the orange creamsicle cocktail and LOVED it. Husband got the super sweet spiked lemonade (can't remember what it was called) and he liked that. I ordered the poke salad with tuna (tasted very oniony. Would've been better with some soy sauce!) and a side of Mac and cheese. The bowl was heaping!! He got a fish sandwich but again I don't know what it was on the menu. For appetizers we got barbecue wings and they were huge. And delicious! Let's start: The hostesses were great. They were friendly and inviting. We were a party of three including a high chair. We had told the upfront staff that we needed a high chair. When they took us back to our seat they said the waitress is coming right behind with our high chair. After waiting for several minutes our waitress showed up with no high chair and asked us if we wanted to order drinks and finally asked for a high chair again. After several minutes the waitress came back with the high chair and adult drinks. We requested a few waters for the table and after that point the waitress acted as if we didn't exist and when we did we were met with short snippy quick responses. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was great. I hate how poor service can derail what otherwise would've been a nice dinner. read more
