I see the reviews are a mixed bag...but I'll share my experience and let folks make their own decisions/conclusions based on what I offered to the chat about Stoked! I feel the vibe is chill...casual! The staff were friendly and our server..Erica was attentive to our needs and we received prompt service! The good...wings...Canal Wedge Sa!lad...Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail...Mahi Tacos! The portions were great and the flavor was on point! You have indoor/outdoor dining options. The is a bar area and TVs w/sports playing! There is a small parking lot in the front which is appreciated in this area. I would totally come back!

Food was really good -- loved the fries, fish sandwich, brusselsprouts and more (typically "bar food"). Food was hit and quick. Loved the restaurant on the marina and inside was good ambiance. Wish I would've tried some drinks!!

"Delicious dive on Lake Park Blvd in Carolina Beach"…read more Came here for lunch on a Sunday at right around noon. The place is dark and kind-of makes you feel like you're in the bowels of a wooden ship. There's a large bar in the center, and a few tables around it, as well as a few tables outside in the back. We were seated right away. I ordered the hot honey shrimp wrap as well as the pickled veggies appetizer. My dining partner got the quinoa grain and greens bowl with blackened tuna. Our food came out in around 10 minutes. The hot honey shrimp wrap came with french fries, to my surprise (didn't see that mentioned on the menu), which were fine. The wrap itself was DELICIOUS. MAN, that hot honey was SO tasty, and the greens and corn batter on the shrimp really complemented it well. It is a very, very messy dish to eat with your hands, so be prepared, but it's well worth the sacrifice. The pickled veggies were local and very tasty-- also a very good value for $5. My dining partner really liked her bowl and the tuna in it as well. The staff were quite attentive, regularly checking in, filling drinks, and clearing dirty plates. Only caution is that a lot of the batters are corn-based, so be careful if you have that allergy. Overall, would very happily come back-- great in all respects. I recommend highly!

If you're looking for one of those places where everything just lines up--the weather, the food,…read morethe mood--this is it. Out on the pier at Tiki Bar & Ocean Grill, you've got a front-row seat to the Atlantic, and on a day like today, it doesn't get much better. Blue sky, sun hitting the water just right, and a breeze that reminds you why people have been coming to the coast long before fancy resorts showed up. Food Simple answer: they've got it dialed in. Fresh, well-prepared, and exactly what you want at the beach. No overthinking it--just good coastal food done right. That's how it's supposed to be. Service Friendly, easygoing, and attentive without hovering. The kind of service that makes you feel welcome but doesn't interrupt your view--or your drink. Atmosphere This is where they really win. Sitting out over the water with string lights overhead and waves rolling in? That's hard to beat anywhere. Now, yes--the beach itself has those big metal pipes running through for replenishment. Not exactly postcard material. But here's the truth: once you're up on that pier, looking out over the ocean, it barely matters. The view still does what it's supposed to do--makes you slow down and stay a while. Final Take Great food, solid service, and a view that carries the whole experience. Even with the beach work going on, this place delivers what a coastal spot should: good eats, cold drinks, and a reason to sit a little longer than you planned. If the weather's right, don't overthink it--grab a seat, order something simple, and enjoy it the way folks have been doing for generations.

This place is a vibe. All relaxation and good times only. The decor is great and will have you constantly finding new things to look at. It's for sure overstimulating in a good way. Comfortable seating outside where you have protection from the sun and cute lighting at night. You walk in and then go to a walk in cooler that has all the drink options. There's non alcoholic, beers galore, THC drinks (must be a big thing in NC), ciders, and some other canned concoctions. You grab what you want and head to the register. If you are staying and grab more than one, they have to hold it for you as your second round. You can only have one open drink per person. There is a $10 minimum on purchases. We waited 10 minutes to be greeted once we sat down but that's because the hostess didn't let the waitress know we were there. There was no wait to be seated because we called ahead and got out on the list. Our waitress was so nice and checked on us regularly and the food was great! I got the all you can eat crab legs and they were cooked perfectly and there was no delay with more. Just wish they had those tiny forks to help get the crab meat out. Women's bathroom was clean. Live band was playing which gave it an extra beachy feel. There was something questionable on the tv (not appropriate for kids), but I'm not sure if that's the restaurants fault really. Overall good experience and hope to return!

"Seafood and sports bar on main road in Carolina Beach"…read more Stopped here with a group of 5 on a Friday night in summer, drawn in by the signs about all-you-can-eat crab legs. We arrived at 6pm, and waited maybe 20 minutes for a table. When asked if we wanted indoor or outdoor, we said either was fine as long as not full-sun (some tables were full-sun). Sadly, we were placed at one of the full-sun tables initially. Luckily, when we fussed a bit, they got us a table inside. The restaurant is quite large, with a truly indoor area as well as mostly covered outdoor ones-- we were fortunate to get a truly indoor one, since it was quite hot. The menu was a bit eclectic-- seafood dishes, sandwiches, chicken, and burgers, and lots of drinks. I opted for the fish tacos, since that was reasonably priced-- something like $12-15. The AYCE crab legs were $59-- no thanks! I added a side-salad and also got a fried pickle appetizer for the table. It was a Friday night and busy, but I will say service was SLOW and frankly not great. Took us maybe 15 minutes to get asked what we'd like to order. The fried pickles came almost 30 minutes later. And the meal maybe another 15-20 minutes after that. Our server also seemed almost "put off" whenever we asked for anything, too... like basic flatware after our food arrived. He wasn't great with questions either. Though he did check on us a couple of times. Food was pretty good. The fish tacos were tasty, though one person noted that they were rather minimally seasoned and could have been really great with more. The fried dishes were "fine". One thing to note is the portions are HUGE for many dishes-- one of us got the captain's basket or something, and he's a big eater, but this was way more than he could finish. Similarly, one of us who got the chicken tender platter noted it was really, really big. On the one hand, that's good, but on the other, you're also paying the extra price since the prices were also proportionately higher. The fish tacos were a good compromise-- basically the right amount of food for one person and a decent price. The bathroom was not especially clean-- the soap dispenser was broken and on the side, and it looked like the space hadn't been serviced. The doors to the restrooms were also sticky such that they'd sometimes be left propped open. Overall, I'd say this place was OK but definitely could have been better. I liked my food fine, but the service was definitely underwhelming. One exception-- the lady working the bar was very helpful. There are a lot of GREAT restaurants in Carolina Beach, so this one doesn't do great by comparison.

We arrived around 4:30 and beat the dinner rush, which gave us a beautiful evening outside. From the moment we sat down, it felt less like going to a restaurant and more like coming home after a long day at the beach. Our servers, Abigail and Allie, were both wonderful--friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Service like that is getting harder to find these days, and they deserve a lot of credit. We started with the fried okra, and there were barely any left by the time I thought to take a picture. Crisp, hot, and some of the best we've had. The Black and Red wings were excellent too--full of flavor with just the right amount of kick. The fries were seasoned and cooked just right. The outside seating has a great atmosphere, and even the little details stood out. The place was clean, including the restroom, and seeing their 97.5 sanitation score posted proudly gave us even more confidence. They even had a Venus flytrap outside--only in Carolina Beach can a restaurant have its own bug patrol on duty. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.
