Overall ok restaurant. I ordered the Chilaquiles; The "red sauce" was not what I was expecting and just seemed like a bunch of onions and peppers with broth. The refried beans were amazing though. My mom ordered the crepes, they were were decent too. There was a good sized line already and we got there around 9am. 2.5/5 would be my rating, but there's no half-star option. My friend suggested we have brunch at Brunch. I had a very average experience the first time I dined here a year ago, so had no reason to return until now, but figured why not give it one more go. I ordered the Brunch Benedict $18, it tasted like it looked: a little haphazard, nice enough flavours, but aside from the poor presentation there was nothing memorable about it. My friend had Chilaquiles + Eggs $16 + $4: the first plate served to us was sent back, you'd think that for $2 per fried egg when you order sunny-side-up eggs they would show up that way, especially when the diner specifically asked and confirmed with the waitperson on how the eggs were cooked. The dish was tortilla chips, salsa, some sliced white onions and refried bean paste; oh and $2 a piece fried eggs. I was told it was filling. Service was friendly enough, but at no time were our water glasses ever refilled. Interestingly there were empty tables left and right of us throughout our time there, and we were repeatedly asked at about 5 to 7(?) minute intervals following them clearing out plates if we wanted anything; we both guessed it was their way of wanting us to leave? It would have been less awkwardly they just told us to pay and leave. No I wouldn't rush back to dine here. There are better places for brunch foods. There are better places for great Mexican food. Worth noting: The PDF menu on their website is not current, it has the lower prices from over a year ago. read more

I have no complains for this place except that the wait to get the table for us has been more than 30 mins and then 20 mins wait on the table for the food. Came across this place on accident but it was so worth it! A hidden gem. When we saw the chilaquiles we knew we had to come try them. For a Saturday it was nice we didn't have to wait for a table. The food came out quick and it tasted very fresh. I got the chilaquiles verde (green) but you can also get them rojo(red). Very good and filling. read more

First time trying Brunch Vancouver and was absolutely blown away by the selections! The restaurant took over what used to be Twisted Fork's space. Their portions are generous and the staff are super friendly. Their menu consists of both Mexican classics along with Canadian comfort dishes with their own twists. My favourite dish was definitely the monte cristo sandwich - swiss cheese and turkey sandwiched between fluffy french toast. Super creative twist. The drinks are delicious also! We loved every part of this restaurant from the convenient location, to the friendly staff, delicious French press coffee, individual tea pot to the yummy Kannuck breakfast and Avocado Toast. This Mexican themed breakfast/brunch place has it all. They have Mexican specialties and classic American breakfast foods. Portions are very large and soooo good. Cook and waitstaff we're wonderful. Food here is authentic and delicious. Definitely recommend getting side bacon with your order as it's deliciously sweet and spicy. I got monte Cristo sandwich and my friend got a custom omelette. It was an amazing brunch on a cold snowy day. It hits the right spot. They are not joking with their humongous French Toast not to much batter and the cheese was melting. The accompanying salad was superb with the pistachio nuts . I wanted more of the salad. The omelette is hearty with gruyere cheese makes it tasty and moist. The roasted potatoes are well seasoned. This is how a real brunch are done with taste and filling !, my only meal for the day ! we weren't looking for great mexican food on vancouver, but happened upon this awesome place (and it felt so neighborhood, not tourist). a mix of traditional brunch items mixed with mexican specialties (after seeing the chilaquiles, i regretted my ribeye hash order...and it was awesome!). the house salsa was our idea of spicy-delicious, and we will go back the next time when we're in town. read more

Great first visit for us! Combines a nice mix of brunch and Mexican-inspired dishes. Laidback comfortable atmostphere. Staff were attentive and it was nice to see smiles from everyone. The decor struck rustic to me and complemented the atmosphere well. I ordered something I usually wouldn't so that was a good experience. This restaurant was Twisted Fork before (which I have learned it has since moved to Gastown area). I don't recall everything about Twisted Fork except it was a long narrow space with somewhat dark interiors. Brunch did a 180 and really brightened the space up. I especially love the splash of blue with the banquette seating. There are also plastic guards installed between certain tables and they recently added outdoor seating. Overall, the ambiance is comfortable and tables are well spaced out. When you come here, expect Mexican dishes and classic brunch plates with a bit of twist. I had to go with their enchiladas suizas because there aren't many places who can do it well. With corn tortillas, shredded chicken inside then topped with a generous amount of their delicious green sauce (spicy but not overly), grilled cheese and sour cream. Also loved the side of beans with (I believe) homemade chips). They used two plates so you know it's served HOT! Nothing more depressing than cold food. The rest of my friends polished their food as well. According to one, the chilaquiles was as authentic as they come after having eaten them before in Mexico. I was equally impressed with their coffee. They have an extensive drink menu (including alcohol). Coffee was served French press style and not sure where the beans came from but it was so smooth - really enjoyable! Stumbled upon this new spot over the weekend. All the other brunch places had lines, and we were able to get a table here easily. They opened about 2 months ago, according to the waiter, which must've been a hard time for a new business to open during this pandemic. That being said, I have to be honest about my experience here. Given the prices, I was expecting something really special and delicious. The food was by no means bad, but it was very average brunch/diner food. I had the Mixed Berry French Toast ($20), described as thick brulee style. I was disappointed to see 3 very thin pieces of bread and an overly thick, overcooked jam of berries with a bit of dusting sugar and cinnamon on top. For $20, it's one of the most expensive brunch dishes I have ever paid for, and it felt like it belonged in a basic diner for $6.95 My friends had a Benedict and the Rib Eye Hash, which I thought were pretty standard as well. I was hoping for a better experience here. I feel like this could be a much better place if they had just embraced the Mexican influence. Even the hipster, Nordic style decor does not fit the mood (Latin music) and type of food. It's trying to be too many things, and at an unreasonable price given the unoriginality of the dishes. read more

Good place for brunch downtown. Not the cheapest but not the craziest in terms of price & always happy to support a local business! Despite the buzz of a narrow space, acoustics are great for catching up. I had the mole enchiladas which were tasty but not the best mole I've had in town (a bit simpler in flavour and lighter in colour). Loved the generous heaping of feta on top. My partner opted for the brunch Benny on croissant with jalapeños - delicious and spicy! I hear they make the croissants themselves but my partner said it was hard to really enjoy the croissants because as a Benny, it was kind of squished and mushy at that point. Wandered into Brunch after encountering a long wait at the Templeton and I will state that it is the best breakfast out I have had in a long time. Especially the bacon! As a family, we've tried every breakfast spot in the city and this is the clear winner. I can't decide what I like more: the food or the service. You can really tell the kitchen puts their best effort into every meal and since it's an open kitchen, you can always watch the action in case you had any doubts. Incredibly good food. Orange juice tasted like it was freshly squeezed. Hot sauce is homemade. Very nice and friendly service. Inside is a little hot but that's because the dining area is right next to the open kitchen. They have a nice outside dining area too. Definitely a good place to stop for any meal. If you are looking for a delicious Mexican style breakfast, you need to try the ENCHILADA SUIZA at Brunch. It is super good and tasty. And the MONTECRISTO is the best ever sandwich that I have tried, with a mixed of turkey, cheese and maple syrup. You need to try it! the great thing is that they have license for alcohol so you can enjoy a mimosa o cold michelada in a beautiful sunny day with your brunch. The eggs benedict are very original on a croissant with a special hollandaise sauce, which makes it very good. I cant wait to go back to try more of the things in their menu.
