I had brunch at this restaurant and it was delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I walked in to this beautiful restaurant and was seated immediately.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered Matcha tea which tasted great and there were options for which milk to use. Then ordered avocado toast and it came with a side salad. The menu said the toast was vegan but it isn't since it has cheese on top.

Came here for lunch with a good friend. This is a Mexican brunch place. They do not take reservation and it is a first come first serve. I got here around 10:50 am and the line up looked long; however the line went really fast. We were seated very quickly. While waiting outside we were served a small warm milk tea. That was a nice gesture. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was quite cold waiting outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the Carnitas Benedict and I had it with their house salad. I really like their house salad. It apple, cheese watermelon and dressing on it. It was quite refreshing. The carnitas benedict was very tasty. There was this green pepper that was quite spicy in it. There were not a lot but I would say 2 or 3 pieces. The food came out super quick. Service was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is not big and so in order for them to make a profit, they need to have the table turnover high.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will definitely come back and try out their other items.

Brunch continues to be an incredible brunch restaurant. I have been going for years now, and the consistent quality of all of the meals has been outstanding. I recently had the Torta Ahogada, a Mexican sandwich. It was flavourful and had enough spice to be enjoyable, without being too much. The service is friendly and quick as always. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is comfortable, perfect for relaxing conversations or having group gatherings.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Torta Ahogada - enormous!

I wandered in here mid morning on a Monday looking for a quiet place to kill an hour and have breakfast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was very clean, calm and friendly atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the Torta Ahogada which is basically a hot sub sandwich filled with braised pork and then drowned in a tasty, not spicy sauce (it comes with hot sauce on the side). It was HUGE, definitely a sharing plate unless you have a large appetite! I'm now curious to try their other items :-)

Walking around in circles looking for White Spot we found Brunch. By this point we were starving and happy to find an all day brunch. We were warmly welcomed as we entered Brunch on Granville Street. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seated at a cosy table, with enchanting decor all around us.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I started with a warm, frothy cup of coffee so good I had two cups. My Mom had tea which she said satisfactorily warmed her up. My Mom had a breakfast enchilada spicy enough to put a smile on her face. I had a Breakfast sandwich that I loved. The food is tasty, unique and fresh. The service respectful, genuine and on time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This restaurant is clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thank you Brunch on Granville Street.

Came for a brunch with friends on a Sunday at 11am. There was a relatively short line, with us needing to wait only ~10-15 minutes to get seated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were seated indoors but they also have some outdoor shaded patio seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Choosing what to order was difficult as there were a few items I wanted to try, but I ended up choosing the Enchilada Suizas with chicken. I was worried of not being full but it was quite filling. Would definitely want to come back to try the other brunch dishes.

A family friend invited me over to try out Mexican brunch. Place was pretty chill when we arrived soon after they open, however it was bustling by the time we left. Servers were lovely and food portions were enormous, though I felt like they skimp on the toppings. All in all, pretty good experience. Chilaquiles ($17) 7.5/10 Tortilla chips bathed in red salsa with black beans, cheese, cream, and onion. First time trying this dish and really enjoyed how crispy and flavourful the chips were, though cream and cheese could have been more. Portion was too big to finish and I had to take some home. French Table ($17) plus mixed berry ($3) 5.5/10 This french toast was massive (3 slices of thick brioche) but I felt like the toppings were so bare given the amount of bread. Tasted fine, bread was fluffy and buttery, however not really memorable versus other french toasts I've tried.

    Churros

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Good service, really good breakfeast options, clean restraunt and bathroom and the churros were magnificent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sadly the heater was broken.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definetly come here in vancouver.

Love the name, very to the point. I enjoyed a great Mexican brunch here with my mom who's visiting from out of town! The stretch of Granville that the place is located on is a little grungy, but restaurant inside is cute and tidy. I ordered the cheese enfrijoladas and my mom got the chicken enchiladas suizas. So good! Both sauces were packed with flavour (I didn't try the enchiladas suizas themselves but did sample the sauce), and they have an awesome homemade hot sauce if you can handle a little heat - I would call it medium as far as hot sauces go. A little detail on the enchiladas suizas that I thought was nice was the freshly fried tortilla chips with a small serving of beans. The portions were filling and I thought the price was worth it. I would certainly be happy to come back and try either more Mexican items or something from the Canadian side of the menu.

Authentic Mexican food in a cozy environment! It seems like a hidden gem-- we went on a Sunday morning but only had to wait 5-10mins. Pricing is about the standard for a brunch restaurant from $17-22 per dish. -Chilaquiles: they make in-house tortilla chips which have a unique thickness and crunch. Topped with onions and mole sauce. We chose the green salsa which was slightly tangy. Definitely need to eat this dish before it gets soggy for the best experience. -Huevos Rancheros: quite saucy, I couldn't identify the flavours too distinctly. I wish there was more density to the dish, as I felt like I was just eating sauce. Next time I'd definitely have to add a side to make the meal more substantial.

Ordered take out from here not expecting anything but the food was so good! Their turkey and cheese torta was amazing, it was creamy and the right amount of fried. My favourite though was their hash browns. Even though we ordered it, the hash browns were still very crispy. Also very flavourful.

Vancouver BC. Read the reviews and popped in on our way out of town. This place was pretty busy but the staff is on top of it. Kitchen too. I think the owner was there as well just helping out where he could. The service was a little slow but understandable because like I said, busy. Food was on point. M loved her Avocado Benny and I had the Monte Cristo which was packed with turkey. So much I had to take 1/2 with me. Wish it was battered and deep fried though. I was basically two pieces of the bread they use in French toast made into a Sammy. Still pretty good.

Jam Cafe, Vancouver Jam Cafe is my favorite brunch spot. Anywhere. That sounds like an exaggeration. It isn't. I've been traveling to Vancouver for work for almost a decade, and every single trip includes a stop at Jam. If I'm lucky, two. I've also become that coworker who convinces everyone to meet outside at 7:45 in the morning so we can be part of the first seating at 8:00. Thankfully, we're all from the East Coast and have been awake since 5:00 anyway. Over the years I've successfully JAMfluenced more business travelers than I'd like to admit. And yes, it's still worth the wait even if you're not first in line. The restaurant itself is tiny. Cozy farmhouse vibes, mismatched decorations covering the walls, and maybe 15 tables between the dining room and patio. It feels more like someone's favorite neighborhood breakfast spot than one of Vancouver's brunch institutions. The menu is comfort food turned up to eleven. Everything is indulgent, creative, and somehow still balanced. You can tell the kitchen starts with great ingredients because every component tastes like it could stand on its own. I try to branch out every visit... and then usually end up ordering the Tater Tot Bowl anyway. Crispy tater tots, buffalo sauce, Mexican street corn relish, and ridiculously good pulled pork. It's the kind of dish that sounds like it shouldn't work, but every bite somehow gets better than the last. And then there are the cinnamon roll pancakes. They are enormous. They're also one of the best brunch dishes I've ever eaten. Birdfluencer Lorraine M. declared them the best pancakes she's ever had, and after several visits, I don't have much of an argument. Service is exactly what it needs to be. Friendly, efficient, and quick. The staff knows there's a line forming outside before the doors even open, but you never feel rushed. Overall, Jam Cafe has officially become part of my Vancouver tradition. At this point, a work trip to the city doesn't really start until I've had breakfast here. If you're visiting Vancouver and only have time for one brunch, this would be my pick without a second thought.

I chose to sit outside on the patio instead of inside at the bar to take in that Canadian Vitamin D! It was sunny and hot, but the patio had a great view and was perfect for people-watching. My server, Dursh (or something close to that), was really cool. He asked my name, made me feel welcomed, and gave solid recommendations. He even picked my drink for me, which I ended up enjoying. He suggested a Benedict dish, but I'm not a fan of runny eggs. I had already decided on the El Camino poutine and plot twist....it also came with two runny poached eggs. Even so, it was still delicious, mainly because the yolk texture wasn't an issue with the crema on the dish. That poutine was an easy 9/10. It came loaded with cheese curds, pork carnitas that weren't dry at all, bacon, pinto beans, roasted pineapple for a little sweetness, salsa, jalapeños, pickled onions, salsa verde, cilantro crema, and spinach. The herb potatoes were seasoned so well too. All in all, a great last meal in Vancouver from the food to the service (even beyond Dursh, everyone was helpful) to the patio vibe. Great spot.

We were having gorgeous weather in Vancouver so we decided to eat on the covered patio. The place is pretty cozy, but was only moderately busy when we went. They have a pretty good menu with lots a Benedict's and a build your own breakfast option that seemed pretty nice. I took the recommendation from our server and got the bacon benny. It did not disappoint. I think I have recently discovered that I love poached eggs and these were perfect. The yolk was nice and runny and the white was firm but not hard. I like to cut in to my egg and have it run down and get messy on the plate. The hollandaise was excellent. So many breakfast places will serve it broken, but not here. It had the perfect amount of lemon, butter ratio for my taste and I really enjoyed it. The bacon was good, not to salty, and the english muffin was, well, an English muffin from a package that they toasted and out on the plate. I did splurge and paid the extra dollar for the truffle potatoes and they were very good. I love truffle oil on potatoes so I am a sucker for it whenever its on a menu. You just cant mess it up. Fried potatoes, truffle oil, and a lemon squeeze to bring it all together. My wife got the brunch burger and she loved it. It was a messy breakfast burger that a lot of places have but this one was done right. A poached oozy egg, on a burger patty with american cheese, the best burger cheese in my opinion, bacon, hollandaise and arugula on a brioche bun! It came with tater tots and they were nice and crispy just like she likes them. Well, why didn't I give it five stars you may be asking? Great question. Here it is, each plate came with a side that was just awful. Mine had some "fresh" fruit that nearly made me laugh. It consisted of the saddest, limpest piece of watermelon I have ever seen this side of a trash can. I also had an old crusty orange wedge and a single grape. My wife got a slimy side salad that I think was holding on for dear life. Both, we deemed inedible and moved on immediately. I think there is a rule, or at least there should be one, in restaurants that if you wouldn't eat it then don't serve it. There might be another one that says if you eat rotten food maybe get a different job and see rule one. Overall, we liked the place and would go back. We would just avoid the salads and fresh fruit and stick to the food they cook.

But first, the food - I ordered scrambled eggs, chicken apple sausage and paid an extra $1 for truffled lemon potatoes. The verdict? 4 out of 5. I'd ordered the eggs "very soft" and they verged on medium-firm. They still tasted good. I'll gladly pay extra for the truffled potatoes next time. My husband ordered the salmon avocado benny. While he loved the tomato soup he chose on the side, he was less enamoured by the benny itself. I had a taste and was underwhelmed by a forkful of overripe avocado and slightly fishy-tasting salmon. We finished with an order of beignets which despite being freshly-fried, were bland; although the accompanying strawberry sauce was deliciously tangy-sweet. Onto the service. This place spins like a top, and I mean that in a good way. Although we came at a peak time, all front of the house staff we encountered -- from the hostess to our bubbly server, to the smooth manager -- struck a perfect balance of being in flow, working flawlessly together, and maintaining light conversation with us. Exemplary. 5 stars out of 5.
