Drink orders were quick - we got a hot mocha and a milk chocolate fancy! Although the mocha came cold- DEVON had it made over, yaaaay! Saying Thank you became so consistent that she was serving every need we came up with! My wife ordered the meat and potatoes skillet with a side of cakes and everything looked and tasted super and the portions were amazing! I couldn't notice if there was any music playing in the background. We've known of this place for years, but we don't come here as much as we could in part to having a breakfast café in our hometown. We certainly will come back here again on our way to church which is time is down the street in McHenry!! read more

Visited for the first time this late morning! Hosts were super friendly, we were seated right away. Our server Kamryn approached immediately and took our drink order. She was sweet and friendly! Kamryn was back immediately with the drinks and my cappuccino was perfect. Kamryn was knowledgeable on all of our questions on the menu, since this is our first visit. Food came up so quickly, we were blown away by that. Our meals were delicious. I had the South Beach scramble with diced potatoes and pancakes. So delicious! The portion sizes are HUGE. An entire second meal for me to bring home. We found our new brunch spot for sure and will definitely be back! read more

We have been consistent guests at Brunch McHenry since they first opened. We enjoy the food, but I think the absolute best part is the service, the hostesses, servers, and busboys are all extremely friendly and easy to chat with. We will continue to be regulars here! read more

We arrived at 6:35 waited 5 minutes for someone to come out from the back. I finally went to the door of the kitchen, which was open and found a young lady to help us. She said they don't open until 7. The sign in the door said 6:30 and the door was unlocked. She very graciously seated us. 2 minutes later a gentleman walked in who was obviously a regular customer then another at 6:55. So they obviously open before 7. The waitress was great once ahe came out of the back, and the food was good. read more

Sunday brunch at Brunch Cafe has become a weekly tradition. BC has the local breakfast eatery feel with the brunch entrees you really want. There's booths and tables. It's all very clean, but I wouldn't really call the ambiance memorable. The focus is definitely on the food. My go-to is the salmon toast (I add cucumber to it and highly recommend) with either the side salad or the hash browns. The smoked salmon on an open faced sammy is the perfect start to the day. Occasionally I venture over to ordering berry filled crepes or French toast. Everything is delicious and pretty hardy. They usually have some kind of special items too. I have my fingers crossed for candied bacon at some point. Drink wise, you can get your usuals as well as black coffee. Cappuccinos and lattes would be a great addition to the menu, but the current options work for brunch. I've done the mimosa flight once and it was pretty good. The drinks for the flight are a little smaller than ordering a regular mimosa, but it was still enough that I was content. If I'm ordering a mimosa, I tend to alternate between the pineapple and the strawberry. Everyone there is always quick and friendly, but it is always busy so keep that in mind and give a little grace. The wait staff is great about checking on you throughout the meal, but they really can't stop unless you need something so it's always a quick checkin. Typically there's a wait for tables so either call ahead or use the waitlist feature here on Yelp. read more

10/10 EXPERIENCE!!! We had Maddy K as our server and she was so attentive and sweet. would come again just to see her! Thanks for the good service! read more

We came in for brunch on a weekend, and although the restaurant was packed, we didn't have to wait for too long for a table. The inside has a lot of cute decor brunch/egg related, and the restaurant is just one big rectangular open space. Parking was a bit hard to find as it shares a parking lot with other businesses. We didn't reserve in advance but came in around 10am on a Saturday and were seated in about 15 minutes. The staff were friendly and the food came out quickly which was impressive with how busy they were. The portions are large, and we appreciated the quality and taste of the food. Almost every group had at least one bag of food left overs after eating. Brunch for 3 people including drinks, entrees and dessert came out to about $80. read more

Had breakfast there on 7/14/26 @ 10a. Ordered a Caliente omelet. Cheddar cheese inside was cold and not melted. The chorizo tasted left over, like it was cooked earlier in the morning. The quality of food has diminished greatly in the past several months. read more

I have been here numerous times. It is always bustling with energy and patrons. They have an extensive breakfast and lunch menu as well as a few specialty coffee drinks. They always have unique specials. I am an omelette person so fairly regimented on my order, but I have tried their specialty pancakes and specialty French toast. I highly recommend the carrot cake pancakes. Probably my favorite item on the menu. I have also tried their bennys. They are ok, not amazing. I have not tried any lunch items, I'm a breakfast girl. Coffee is good and usually refilled promptly. Flavored iced tea is a nice touch. read more

We've gone to a few Brunch Cafe locations and have dined at the McHenry location a few times on various days and at different times of day. Great Family Restaurant. All I have to say is "Ay Caramba"! The best skillet I have ever eaten... skip the diced potatoes and substitute with the hash browns instead. read more

Food & service is great, alway! McHenry's location is the 1st Brunch Cafe I dined ate years ago. Now,I usually eat at the Huntley location. There is a 3rd location in Arlington It's! Same great food, but a larger venue with counter service! Perfect place alone, with family, friends, children, etc. read more

Everything we order is delicious, we've been coming every week for two years. The service is excellent and the food is always delicious regardless of what we order. I highly recommend. read more

The pancakes came raw, I was trying to eat them but I tasted them too chewy and they were sticking into my fork, they decided to give me more pancakes but either way it changed my view of a once good breakfast resteraunt to an un trusting of food safety when ordering certain items, not very professional and I wouldn't really eat here again. With that while the customer service was good most of the workers serving us weren't very welcoming. read more

I have been here a few times and I wish I could afford to go every day. They're always busy, staff is on the ball, and it's a great menu. I first got a steak dish, it was a total treat and I am fairly sure it took me forever to finish it. Guys sat down next to me and ordered the same thing based on how it looked and I just plowed through it. The portion sizes here are wonderful. Second visit, I got a more traditional breakfast and it was decidedly perfect. One of the ladies from the local church took me for a nice visit and I got to hear some of her story. Kindest lady ever. She took leftovers, I think I didn't have anything left. I'm not fond of eating and talking but hey, I can behave myself once in a while! And I know I went in there just for a plate of crispy hash browns with onions in it, probably got a coffee. It hit the spot. Come get fed! They have modest morning and lunch hours, it's in the name! read more

Normally our go- to is Southern Belles in Barrington because they have amazing skillets but we decided to try something different. We were a bit disappointed in the variety of skillets and the ingredients in them that they offered, but that's just because southern Belles skillets are unmatched. We ordered the meat and potato skillet which comes with ham, bacon, sausage, and cheddar cheese. The skillet was over salted but overall it was a decent skillet. It was a bit of a small portion. It comes with a side of pancakes or toast which you can upgrade to any specialty pancakes, French toast, or crepe. The patty melt was just average. Nothing special. A bit dry, and my boyfriend didn't like how it came on sourdough bread. The stuffed waffle was my favorite item. The waffle was so crispy and the filling was nice and sweet. There were bananas and strawberries inside and it was topped with whipped cream. It is a bit sweet, but if that's what you're craving then it's perfect for you! We also got a side of the cinnamon roll French toast which I expected to be crispy but it was soft and almost soggy. The flavor was good though, especially with the cream cheese icing. Overall, the service was good and food was pretty good. They have a lot of good options, but if you're looking for a good skillet I would say this place isn't it. read more
