Love the recliners! And the popcorn was fresh both times. Been there twice to see Dune 2

We did not get any food but concessions had a good variety of offerings. I will say I did notice that the bathroom and floors were a little dirty for it being so early in the morning but hey, no big deal. The screen flickered a few times during the movie. The individual who checked us in and pointed us to our theater was very friendly and seemed enthusiastic. We bought our tickets online and the process was easy. For two "discounted price" adult tickets, the total came out to $26 due to a service fee being added on.

What stood out was the self serve popcorn! I had never seen that at a movie theater before! It was so cool! You buy the popcorn bucket and then go get your own popcorn and you can add butter as well. There is NON STOP POPCORN! You can just go back and refill. The popcorn prices were typical, in my opinion. They have hot food as well but it stops at 10pm. They also sell beer and wine. I got lucky and the staff let me get good. I ordered boneless garlic parm wings and fries. You can come back to get it or have it brought to your seat, shin is what I did. I received the food in 9 mins. The fries were HOT! The wings were an appropriate temperature And they tasted decent. I like my wings saucy and wasn't that. The prices for the hot food is actually affordable! The movie started about 10 mins after showtime, which is quick ! Left to go to the restroom as I'm used to 30 min previews. My friend told me the movie started as soon as I left. I love the promptness! I wish this type of movie theater was in the city where I live! The seats were clean and they reclined. They have little trays with cup holders for your food, which was awesome! When I was booking the tickets, I saw they even have love seat type seating on the bottom row for couples. That is so awesome and cool. When I'm in town visiting again, I would most definitely stop by here if there's a movie playing I want to see! I will note that we looked at 2 different movies and the other move cost $5 more which was confusing. It wasn't a 3D or specialty type of movie showing.

Imagine my delight when I returned home for a long overdue visit and found the Cinema East Park still operating! They've added two screens to the cinema over the years but everything else looks just the same as I remember. The seats aren't fancy stadium seats, they don't recline and they are laid out with the aisle down the middle of the theater. There have been some recent updates with fancy new digital projectors (the owners have obviously spent some serious money upgrading the equipment at the theater). This may be a positive or negative depending on your view, but the deer head referenced in previous reviews is no longer hanging in the lobby. The snack bar is limited and a tad on the expensive side, but the concession quality is really great! They have Coke Zero at their soda fountain (yay!) but expect one to set you back around $6.00. You'd think a small town theater would have cheaper concessions; these are big city prices around these parts. The noteworthy popcorn was worth the cost: they have a freshness guarantee and freshly pop it every 10 minutes or so. Fresh, hot popcorn is what's advertised and it's what you'll get here. Worth every penny. Call ahead to check if there are any specials or bargain nights with discounted tickets. The theater sometimes runs specials during the week to drum up business. This is a very small town and a very small theater; I hope locals and visitors will support this place to keep it running for another 40 years! Don't be turned off by the nondescript exterior or the charmingly run down interior (with tiles and carpet that appear to be at least as old as I am). Don't go here expecting to have first-class theater seats or sound. Do go if you want to see a movie and have a great time. If you love movies like I do and you want a small town movie theater experience with "big city" crystal clear digital projection, go here. You won't be disappointed!

No, if you're below a certain age this is probably like a gulag. If you're above a certain age this is called a history lesson from when you were younger because there were no other choices. A few random points: - You can buy tickets in advance via their website but there is a surcharge - F&B offerings are expectedly slim but pricing is on the reasonable side - If you are towards the back of the theatre make sure you close the door as the noise from the lobby will bleed in and you won't hear the movie - You will definitely pick up some noise from the adjacent theatre Go with the flow and apply some context as to where you are. No, there are not going to be tons of "comfort upgrades" at a strip mall movie theatre considering the size of the surrounding area that it's in. Just be glad this exists at all. I mean sure you might have to overlook the leaking ceiling in the lobby or the need to wait a few minutes while the concession area registers each get rebooted a few times or the line in the parking lot to get in since they basically start all four screens at the same time but the staff we encountered were friendly and we appreciated the option to do something at night since the overall choices in the AB area are slim. Good Enough.

Giant Splotch / Lines on the Screen…read more It pains me to write this, since this appears to be a locally-owned small business - so forgive me for what I am going to say. If they can confirm they have fixed it, I will gladly take the review down. But I wanted to warn everyone. The movie screen had 3 big stains on it, like someone had thrown drinks at the screen and they never cleaned it off. Plus, there were two thin black lines that ran vertically down the screen - and in the middle of those lines, a giant splotch - the biggest of the 3 stains - about 4 feet long and 2 feet wide. And in the left top corner, a frayed black box eating up that part of the screen. I really wanted to walk out and ask for a refund, but the movie had already started and I didn't want to hunt down another theater and another showtime. I also considered that I should let the staff know, but it was so obvious (6 defects in total) that I didn't bother because there is no way I was the first to bring it to their attention. We live in Emerald Isle, this is the only theater on the isle, we are big movie fans and we LIVE to support local business - so this is extremely unfortunate as it's a dealbreaker for a movie theater - a clean screen. Please get this fixed....I'm posting this on here and Google so you can easily get in touch with me if you need to.

Honest to god, the absolute worst theater I've ever had the displeasure of visiting in all my…read moremoviegoing life. Complete disaster top to bottom every single time I go. Over the years, I've had literally countless plainly unacceptable and appalling experiences here since AMC bought this place out. I once bought tickets MONTHS in advance only to show up the day of, wait in a full theater for 45 MINUTES, and have an employee come in and tell us that they never actually received the movie in the first place. There was never another opportunity to see this same movie again so the replacement passes were useless. One of the most infuriating customer service experiences of my life. I've experienced movies starting 45 minutes late (and consequently being forced to watch the end of a Taika Waititi movie about soccer.), bomb threats where we were expected to wait around in the parking lot for an undisclosed amount of time (Yes, while the place was literally under threat of being bombed.) if we wanted refunds, 2D movies starting in 3D (Endgame, opening night.) where a customer had to go ask an employee to start the whole movie over again, movie screens being completely green, and every other manner of nonsense you can imagine. When this place was a Carmike, the employees were all stoned teenagers, the poorly lit arcade was often full of child predators, and more than once I saw gum on toilet seats. All of this pales in comparison to the bullshit I've experienced in the years since the buyout. On top of that, the theater is disgusting and horribly rundown. Every inch of it is filthy, poorly maintained, or just straight up unusable. If you're trying to see a movie in Greenville, good luck. Since Regal was bought out, there are 0 viable options. The Golden Ticket is a shitshow too.
