I took a break from this place after their sanitation score dropped. However, it's back up. That being said I'm a busy individual and pre-order my bagels. Every time I arrive to the store (post order submitted & payment taken) they are always OUT of what I ordered & start to offer me other options....if I wanted other options I would've went elsewhere. Their app is unreliable & never updated. I asked for a refund (after ordering from THEIR app) and no one in store knows how to do it...I was told they can't do that & I'm SOL and will be charged for items I NEVER RECEIVED. I will not be back & will be disputing the charge. read more

Fantastic customer service! Our first time here. Joe was very patient in explaining the menu to us. Also, very helpful with suggestions based on our order. The bagel was amazing! Best I've ever had! read more

Jalepeno cheddar bagel with jalepeno cream cheese. That is my order 90% of the time and it never fails me. I can't come too often because them carbs are real but I love the variety of options and it's always easy to find parking because most people grab and go. The inside is large enough, however, if you do chose to dine in. Pro tip; join their loyalty program for a free bagel with cream cheese read more

I have gotten orders for the past couple of weeks here and I have to say not one time have I arrived and the order was ready. From the customers perspective no employees seem to move with a purpose. Just going through the motions. The quicker you get orders out the quicker you can relax. read more

Use to love these bagels and would bring my 6 grandchildren and other family members to enjoy. No longer will I purchase bagels her due to changes made in noticeably smaller bagels at same cost prior to changes. You bet I can and will make them at home (not difficult). Come on now, really. So disappointed. read more

I've had a great experience at this location. The bagel place has really good bagels, and the workers yesterday morning (1/5) and today (1/6) have truly been amazing! From the time you walk in to the time you walk out, the service is excellent. Very clean, very fast, and very friendly. 10/10 recommend -- and thank you, Joe, for assisting me this morning! read more

The bacon in the sandwich was NOT cooked and there was not a hint of chipotle mayonaise. Will not order again from here.

I placed an online order on Wednesday, 02-07-24, to use my birthday reward. I ordered the twice-baked hash brown and a cinnamon raisin bagel with honey walnut cream cheese. I was a little late picking up my order, but the food was still hot. I started enjoying the hash brown in the car and almost went back to get another one. read more

I am surprised to see 3 overall stars on this place. It is absolute FIRE! Fresh bagels that are so delicious and soft with the perfect density. The sandwiches have the best combination of toppings and flavors. First time I went I was gobsmacked at the deliciousness! Everytime I go back they don't miss! Quick service, friendly staff. Inside is like a cafe and they have outdoor seating too. read more

I have been a big fan of Bruegger's for over 20 years, but it's been awhile since I was in this store. I ordered my old favorite turkey on toasted everything bagel with bacon, tomato, Swiss cheese and mayonnaise and was disappointed to see that there was more tomato than turkey!!! read more

This morning, I stopped in at Bruegger's Bagels in Matthews, NC. I ordered a 24 bagel box for my co-workers. The staff was friendly and helpful. Natasha had a smile on her face and a warm and friendly approach. She was extremely patient with me when I had no idea what to order. Joe (I think that is his name) was also excellent and friendly. He quickly and accurately put my order together. He helped my carry the bagel box to my vechile. This team goes above and beyond. They are truly a blessing. My co-workers loved the fresh and amazing bagels. read more

Food was average, no one smiled and it took 20 minutes to get a bagel and breakfast sandwich. There were 10 customers in the entire place. We only came here as it was close by.... I'd recommend driving a bit further for quality food! read more

Bruegger's is one of my favorite bagel places. I always get the cinnamon sugar or everything bagel. They are always fresh and I love the reduced fat cream cheese options. There is a large variety, service is usually quick, and there are excellent COVID protocols in place. There are a few tables outside which is nice. Make sure you down the app to get rewards and special deals around your birthday! read more

The bagels and food is what you would expect I've been coming here since high school. However the service isn't what I want to deal with in the morning. Three of the employees on the line had headphones in, we're not efficient in their methods or in getting to the next customer. A lot of talking to each other and messing around taking their time. There were 4 people on the line and it took me almost 15 minutes to get to the front to order. There should probably be some training in customer service and how to conduct themselves in their place of work. read more

Always ask for a toasted bagel and never get it, like every other place in town, they are warm but nothing close to toasted. Coffee is decent, the Inspection Score at 91 is passing but concerning. They inspect for the same things every time they come and you would think someone would know what they are looking for after a certain amount of time. Customer Service is not terrible but the complacency that takes it down. If you don't like your job move on. We will be back because it is not terrible and on the way to Chapel Hill and convenient. PS One thing about it is the Everything Bagel flavorful than most places? My Imagination, Reality I don't know but I like it read more

Got here early, not many people around so it was pretty fast. The people were nice and friendly, and the store was clean. However like I said it was early, so if it was dirty already there would've been a problem. Got the bacon egg and cheese on a everything bagel. The flavor of the bagel was good, plenty of coverage, soft and chewy inside. The bacon and egg was ok. Pretty much out of a little heater and not cooked to order, but overall very good flavor. Would try this place again. read more

This place used to offer indoor seating but not anymore. I arrived at 10:30a and everything was a mess! The outdoor trash bin is overflowed. The foyer floor, the restaurant floor, and the coffee counter is a literal mess. No one is tending to the upkeep of the restaurant. If you can get past those things, you might be ok with eating the food. The salmon bagel was very fresh. The cream cheese, tomatoes and bagel were also very fresh. The coffee wasn't bad either. My primary complaint is how filthy the restaurant is. read more

Every time I order chipotle mayo they NEVER put it on my bagel!!! The staff is okay but somehow make me feel bad for telling them they forgot the chipotle mayo... I ordered their new bagel stack online and in the description it says it comes with chipotle mayo so I was looking forward to that but when I checked my bagel there was nothing. Idk if anyone else has this issue and I didn't see it as a big deal at first but every time?? read more

Brueggers always makes the VERY best bagels and sandwiches! Just don't get there around 1pm. They close at 2pm and the manager gets grumpy after 1. read more

Ordered 2 bagels and 1 coffee using the online app; the order was prepaid. Upon entering the shop for pickup it was discovered that the shop's health rating was 88. We find that rating well below our standards for eating in any restaurant. We told the worker that we did not want the order (at this point only the coffee had been made) but the worker refused to cancel/stop the order, finished it, and handed it to my son who threw it in the trash and we left. Totally unacceptable customer service. Substandard in all ways. read more

I like a fresh salt bagel loaded with cream cheese. Perfect and delicious here. Staff works hard and are friendly.

This was probably my worst experience by far at a Bruegger's. The floor was very dirty, and I had to avoid a pile of dirt that was swept but not disposed of, during my visit and then some. There wasn't even a warning cone to tell people to beware of it. The egg on the bagel was hard boiled or steamed, with green coloring on the inside, which is not how I remember their eggs being prepared. read more

The manager huffed at me and told me I need to say my order all at once when I was trying to help him by splitting it up so he remembered it. Then he proceeded to tell me he couldn't complete my order because I didn't say it all at once, and refused to help me check out with points because their prices are so high I need points to afford this place. DO NOT GO HERE THERE ARE BETTER CLOSER BAGEL PLACES!! Edit thank you for responding to me. read more

Do not go here- we waited for an hour for 2 bagels. Customer service was so terribly rude. When we finally asked about our order the workers were not helpful and finally figured out our order had been stolen.. they told us they had been having issues with people doing that recently. They remade our order and it was wrong but we were so hungry so we just left. I will not be returning. read more

We love Bruegger's Bagels and we drive out of our way to get to this one because, it is not only roomier than the closer Pineville location, it is also considerably cleaner. In fact, we have effectively boycotted the Pineville location because of its consistently subpar sanitary grade... but enough of that... on to the bagels! My wife and I always eat here for breakfast only and go with the toasted everything bagel with their excellent bacon, egg and muenster. Their bagels are some of the best around as is their coffee. Unfortunately this location however lacks both the variety and the convenience of self-serve offered by the other location. Our server was also somewhat surly and uninterested. They got us though 'cause we love their bagels and will take surly over dirty any day. read more

This is the worst Bruegger's I have ever been in. They locked the front door on a Sunday morning so they could "regroup". Then instead of going behind the counter to catch up on orders...the manager decides to police the door and bark orders at her employees. She proceeds to inventory the front drink cooler which had plenty and restock the few items missing...again instead of serving the customers waiting in line or catching up so they could unlock the doors and help customers. It was painful to watch. She was a terrible manager/leader and it shows. I would give it negative stars if I could. read more

On a mission to find the wife bagels and this was the closest place around. Well the service was a bit slow but it was to be expected on a holiday saturday around 10am. One of their employees was a bit slow making bagels too but it seemed like he was new. Anyway we ordered three bagels with cream cheese and a Naked fruit drink and a small coffee, total was $14 dollars, ouch. Wasn't expecting that but maybe the bagels would be amazing... Ah no, the bagels were ok. I've had better ones at Panera or Grinds & Glazes in Blairsville, GA. They were just decent bagels, and the toasting wasn't long enough. I prefer a light char on my bagels and Brueggers just does a light toast. The coffee was good but I probably won't be back just based on the price:food ratio. They do have 'last nights' bagels in a bin just infront of the register that would be a way better deal than what I ordered. I didn't notice it until I was sitting down, oh well. Maybe you can snag those up if your there. read more

We placed a mobile order on 5/12/2024 and arrived at the store at the designated time. The order was not ready so my husband waited an additional 15min. When we opened the bag at home we were missing half the order. My husband drove back to the store, had to wait to cut in line to get someone's attention, reordered, and waited, again. He did not receive an apology for the order. The flow in the store is not great and overall, is lacking efficiency - something we have noticed the past few years. This location used to be high on our list, but this is the last time we will be going here. read more
