So LOVE this place. The place is very nicely done. Nick is crazy kind and fun! He explains everything so clearly and addresses issues you might have first. The dressing room area is cute and comfy. Everything you need with awesome restroom. (That's how I like mine). I went due to long term chronic leg and foot pain. I know it says it's used for beauty type concerns but kept thinking it would help with the soreness and muscle fatigue. To my amazement it has alleviated my issues lasting up to a month sometimes 6 weeks without pain. And then diminishing with each return. I've been 3 times now and have 2 more sessions. I am so glad to come back to this place after trying the other cryo spot in Marin!! (I mostly tried the competition bcuz their location was on my way home from work). Brrrr has MUCH colder machines (that also distribute the cold more equally) than the other place, it's awesome, I feel like I'm getting the full healing benefits of cryo here. Not to mention that Nick is just a nice friendly human with a relaxed professional demeanor. Even though the other place looked like a spa, it certainly didn't feel like one, and I just couldn't take the crazy owner's stressed out energy any more. After every session I feel full of endorphins and vitality, it really is a great thing to try! I looked into cryo for both inflammation relief and weight loss and it's great for both, but I didn't even know that the mood benefits would be so awesome as well. PARKING TIP: park in the parking lot for the cycling gym, just before you get to Brrrr. There's not much street parking right in front of this business and the parking lot right after you pass it is private. When you park at the cycling gym (which has been full of empty parking spots every time I've been) it's also easier to make a left turn onto 3rd St. read more

This place is pretty much right off the 101 as you go into San Rafael. it's very easy to get to. In the back room there's the cryo device with three or four changing rooms. You get a pair of woolly socks and Crocs to put on your feet. You put on a robe, and a pair of gloves. Once you get in the machine you give them the robe and you get a second pair of gloves. This was my first time, and I was happy that I got to 3 minutes. I did find my breath becoming choppy and shallow. I think they should play some loud music when you're in there, so you're not paying attention to the second hand. It wasn't bad though, and I had a muscle pull before I went in and when I came out I was standing straight up. I'm going back for sure. read more

I started doing cryotherapy a few months ago to help with my arthritic knees. I highly recommend it, as it helps reduce inflammation and my knee pain has lessened as a result.
