SR did a great job on cleaning up my outgrown eyebrows, with the exception of the cut on my eyelid. I told her when I was done that I think I had a cut but she insisted it was just a line due to my sensitive skin and would go away. You'll see how the pictures professed from the line she saw to the scab I now have. Absolutely horrible experience. I have half a mind to sue this place. I went for eyebrows and under arms waxing. The girl doing my waxing had absolutely no clue, she didn't even seem to heat the wax properly. It was VERY thick and sticky and I pointed this out to her several times. She pulled the strips off multiple times from the same area and despite my telling her it's hurting a lot more than usual, she didn't do anything to soothe the area. THEN she brought out thread to get the remaining hair out but every time managed to LITERALLY cut my skin off from the thread. I just told her to stop as I had no intention of getting myself cut. It's been 3 days since the visit now and my underarms are red and constantly hurting. She peeled my skin off! The girls there had no apparent experience, when asked, they couldn't even answer what kind of wax they were using. NEVER going back there again. Absolutely unprofessional! read more

I've had my brows threaded here several times and never had an issue. However, the last time I was here was a different story. I arrived about 30 minutes before closing and there was one customer ahead of me finishing up. While waiting another lady came in and tried asking about what time the shop closed and asking if she should come back another day. She was completely ignored by the person working and she left. When it was my turn to get my eyebrows threaded the person working was very rude. She mocked me when my eyes started to water during the threading, which I laughed off because whatever, but it was incredibly unprofessional. She did my brows VERY fast and didn't even thread in between my brows. They looked ok at the time but now that my eyebrows are growing back I can tell how badly she butchered them. I walked away from this place with much thinner brows than I'd asked for, missed spots, along with cuts and scabs under both brows. It wasn't so much the thin brows that bothered me--they'll grow back..eventually. It was more of how rough she was with threading...and the cuts that came as a result. After being in Austin now for close to 4 months I was tired of tweezing my own eyebrows so I looked on Yelp to find a place that does threading. Hello gorgeous salon was found and bonus it is close to my house. I discovered they had a groupon for eyebrow threading. I love that because it allows me to check this place out at a discount price to decide if I like them or not. Beauty services in general, I have learned, can be subjective. I purchased my groupon and came here the day after the 4th of July. They were suppose to open at 10am but it appeared they were running late as no one was there. I made a quick stop at HEB to kill some time and came back. They were open. Woo hoo! The threading was painless (seriously to me it doesn't hurt). I was made comfortable and it was fast. Of course I was offered other service to check out to include eyebrow tinting, lip threading, and eyebrow shadow (to fill in my brows). Saguna is great with eyebrows. She is so kind and she actually does your brows the way YOU want them, both even, not like other salons that just wax or cleans them to their liking and would then see them uneven. No one has touched my brows for over 8 years because of this reason until my sister recommended me to this salon a few weeks ago. I loved how her brows turned out so I finally decided to try it. The shape is great every time I go, but depending on the person I will get a reaction to the threading, and have never had this issue before. Who I used to go to left the shop, and since then its been really really bad. The pain started to be a lot more and I'd have a serious rash after (think painful cystic acne, like dozens of painful infected spots along my whole eyebrows, no matter if I had clean skin before or not). I think theyre too rough on my skin or something, because the more pain the more of a reaction I've noticed (and its one person who I get a major major major reaction from and lots of pain, the other person I had less pain and a minor reaction).
