Experience was good but not satisfactory. I've noticed that she did not take time in scrubbing my foot while my co-workers are getting their foot scrubbed and callus removed. You noticed that there was not even any flakes on the cloth she used for me because she did scrub them for a minute or less. I was observing how the other ladies are doing my friends' and they were all taking the time to scrub. I haven't had spa for years so there's no way that there's nothing to remove. I did not want to ask or complain as I did not want her to feel humiliated as everyone would hear for sure. It couldn't be possible that she forgot as she should be trained on how to do it and should take time to give an excellent spa experience. The place is very clean, modern, and comfortable except for the manicure section which is isolated and so tiny, it does not feel comfortable.

At first, I told the doctor the price I had been quoted and she said, "Oh, it will probably be less!" Then stopped herself and seemed to admonish herself for saying it would be cheaper. Needless to say, they charged me $250 for a 15 minute procedure. But that's not all. When I got home, I noticed that about a quarter of the mole was still there as there was an obvious raised area left. I was moving to BC for a job on Monday so I could not go back in on Monday. When I called, the clinician told me to wait until the scab fell off and accusingly told me I would have complained if there was a bigger incision, or something along those lines. I told her, no, I just expect both the doctor and clinician present to remove the entire mole! I waited another week and of course there is still a part left of the mole, which is hard to cover up with makeup because its raised. Very unhappy with the entire procedure.

Today was my 3rd visit to Life Stiles (http://www.lifestiles.ca/)…read more They offer chiropractic treatments and spa treatments such as massage and laser hair removal. The building itself is kept immaculately clean and the staff have always been uber friendly and professional. I originally purchased a Living Social (think Groupon) deal over a year ago for laser hair removal. I found out shortly after that I was pregnant and was unable to use the voucher. The laser technician, Jillian, offered for me to return after I had my baby and advised that they would extend the expiry date. Since having my baby 9 months ago, I have come for 2 session, with Jillian, who has been an absolute pleasure. I was definitely a little nervous, to say the least, that I may be treated differently because of my voucher but that has not been the case. They have free parking spaces in the back (so don't pay at a meter on 124th street) and a basket of sandals to slip on when you come through the door. You will walk through the Chiropractic area filled with modern items like stability balls and a trampoline. The decor is gorgeous and quite tranquil! The owner, Dr. Greg Stiles, is a chiropractor and I have run into him several times - and is he is as charming as he is handsome. I have overhead him working with patients and he has an amazingly calm and gentle demeanour. Even Jillian, the laser technician I see, has only had wonderful things to say about working for him. In fact, when I consider chiropractic treatments in the future I will start with Mr. Stiles! I also appreciate that they sell items that are health conscious - nail polishes free of dbp, formaldehyde and toluene. The also carry the Juice Plus line of greens and fruits that is supported by Dr. William Sears (www.askdrsears.com) - MY FAVORITE go to doctor and website for all things natural and parenting! They carry a few of his books here and I also was able to check out one of his DVDs to borrow for free! Upon arrival, I am always offered complimentary tea (and they have quite a selection) or chilled water. They have apples and snacks in their tranquil seating area that also boasts a fireplace. I uploaded a few pics - so check them out! I've also picked up some goodies from their clearance bin for my toddler (nail polish free of all that junk I mentioned above) and some high end make up items for myself. Check out their website and you will find a link to both their Chiropractic and their Spa. The website is gorgeous - a real plus in my books! The Chiropractic one has this listed for services: To best assist you in your quest for optimal health, our practice provides many products and services including: Chiropractic care for health matinance, motor vehicle accident treatment and pregnancy Massage therapy and accupuncture Erchonia cold laser tteament Revlar oxidative stress testing Posture analysis Dietary supplements and support Bodo infared sauna Exercise support The Spa site has the following listed under services: Relax, Rejuvenate, Enjoy We are proud to offer top of the line treatments using world renowned product lines and performed by friendly, professional service providers. Acupuncture & Massage Advanced Skin Care Bridal Packages Chemical Peels Facials Feet, Hands and Body Laser Hair Removal Laser Treatments Men`s Treatments Packages Visa Complexion Analysis Waxing and Threading I should also mention that they have evening and weekend appointments available - a definitely plus! I really cannot say enough about the overall atmosphere of this place! I feel very fortunate to have tried them on a Living Social voucher and I definitely see myself continuing to utilize their services! So this is a rarity for me, but I'm giving them 5 stars! I'm not quite sure how I'd rate them for ALL of their services but my experience so far could not have been any better! (And a 5 star experience on my 3rd visit on a Living Social voucher - we all know how those experiences sometimes turn out!)

I have frequented spas regularly for just about everything since I was 12 years old. So I've been to many different types spas. And this place blew me away on my first visit I had to write a review in the car after my facial. The estheticians are extremely talented, knowledgable and experienced. I know because I've seen them at other spas many many years ago. And experience in this industry is everything! Solange did a customized facial for me and it was the best facial I have had in years! She also did a nice hand and arm and shoulder massage with my facial. I had a quick view of the spa and it was immaculately clean and had all the latest gadgets to spoil yourself. It was exactly what I needed and my skin is glowing after my facial. The first 2 people who saw me said whatever I had done did wonders bc my skin looked fabulous! I felt 5 years younger which is definetly why I spend money for these treatments. I was fortunate to get a discounted price bc there was a sale going on! It was super affordable and worth every penny. I would check before booking to see if any specials are going on. Tons of free parking. In a great location beside the tim hortons on gateway boulevard. I'll be back for sure and I would highly recommend this place as the best spa in the city of edmonton right now! Spoil yourself and come here!

I won't ever walk through these doors again, so if you're thinking of going prepared yourself. I…read moremade an appointment and the lady upfront was so rude and judgmental, that I just left crying. I can take a lot but when you book an appointment for a consolation and you're judged by the lady upfront, with her even saying I'll probably need another procedure or two "the way things look to her" on-top of the one I was just getting a consolation for just wasnt need and was exceptionally rude. My friend who came with me was beyond shocked when she heard her say all that she did. Now I'm not a smoker/drinker or anything, and I know my face doesnt need that much done to it (it's just showing my age is all) and I thought I'd treat myself to a little pick me up. So I don't understand why insulting a possible future client before they even meet the doctor is in anyway beneficial. I was quite genuinely hurt by her comments, I told her that and she replied with "It's not my fault you're so thin skinned" That was really all it took, my friend stood up and escorted me out of there immediately. She told me I didn't deserve to be in tears by some rude receptionist, and looking back now I'm so happy she did what she did. So although I can't comment on how well their treatment works, I can tell you first hand how they run their business. I ask that if you're looking for a procedure that they're offering here, please go look somewhere else. No one should have to go through what I did, people dont deserve to leave their office crying. This business needs to really step up their game, and maybe clean house and hire a new receptionist. After posting my experience on Facebook I had a friend comment that they'd also been insulted by the same person - so it's not only me who's had a similar experience here.

That is by far the best deal I've seen on any site like that since I've been signed up for 6 months. They even let you choose from a number of hair removal sites, I chose underarms. Since I had never had anything like this done before, when I called to make an appointment they told me I needed to have a consultation done first (it was free) to have a test patch done in case of a bad reaction. Thankfully I wasn't allergic! I've gone there 3 out of 6 times so far and although it's a bit irritating (you can't expect a process like that to be painless), I'm always in and out in under 10 minutes. I never have to wait, even when I show up early. The technician is always professional, and the staff are always friendly. I'm from downtown Edmonton and I'd be willing to continue making the drive to Sherwood Park, even without a Living Social coupon. Even if I don't have the chance to get a sweet deal on laser hair removal from there again, I'd most likely go back when I'm ready to get other areas lasered.
