The Everything's Omelet plate
Christopher J.

Service for the 8 of us was sweet as we arrived for an early breakfast. Not only did my order of Everything's Omelete (with hash browns and toast) and coffee satisfying, but our drinks were filled without asking. I felt we were looked after and seen (maybe I need to get out more); regardless if it's part of the job, attitude is everything. Overall, a great experience.

Home country cooking and decor in this restaurant in Yuma. Super friendly service. Generous portions for reasonable prices. Nothing fancy, just a good old fashioned menu and diner.

My sister and I were in town to do the tube float on the river. We stopped at Brownie's for breakfast. I love finding an old diner that's been in the community for years, this was it. They were busy and we still got seated quickly and had excellent service. I had the ground beef with scrambled eggs and toast with hash browns. My sister had scrambled eggs and hash browns. Both were delicious and were left full before we headed to the float on the river. Next time we're in town we'll be back!

If you are looking for a good ole American breakfast in Yuma this is your spot. Great size portion and decent prices. I got the French toast it came with 4 halved slices of French toast, two eggs which I requested for cheese on top, and two sausage patties. The French toast by itself wasn't sweet, but it was really fluffy. My eggs and sausage were nicely done. I will definitely be back.

It's my first time here. And I absolutely LOVE it. I'm pretty sure the chicken fried steak is made in house. Which makes it so much more delicious. The coffee was good. The meal was a great size I ate everything. Hash browns was cooked to perfection. No oil on the plate. This place is great. It will now be my go to place when I stop in town. I love the decorations that takes you back in time.

Hometown Cafe type of place. Reasonable prices and good food. Been in business over 50 years in Yuma. See my YouTube channel Coolest Life.

Steak & Eggs With Hash Browns

Stopped in with crew for a Sunday Brunch. First time at Brownie's Cafe and was not disappointed!. Place was packed with locals and we were quickly seated. Brownie's has been around since 1946. Great breakfast selections. I had the the steak and eggs with the 6 ounce sirloin. The place is decorated old school and what you would expect for a Cafe. The hash browns were crispy, the biscuit was fresh out of the oven. The steak and eggs were very good. Everyone was a happy camper. Prices were reasonable. Will be back on next trip through Yuma!

But I can appreciate a fantastic place to enjoy these beverages. Cannot think of a better place than Cafecito in Yuma, AZ. They do have an Horchata. There are also muffins, oats, and fruit bowls. My wife and I and a friend visited Cafecito on the Monday after Easter. The service was great and the drinks were ready quickly. We looked around the main building at all of the cool artistic touches and even a few private spaces. People were reading books, talking, using laptops, relaxing, etc. We took our drinks and found a nice spot under a gazebo in their expansive outdoor garden area. We chatted for the better part of an hour. No rush. Fantastic space which filled up rather quickly on a Monday morning. Plenty of people taking advantage of the amazing seating areas in the outdoor space. We will definitely be back. Already looking forward to it. Bookmark this as a must stop and visit location when you are ever in Yuma, AZ. You won't be disappointed.

Chips and salsa are served in an elevated manner from what we have come to expect. Place settings are clean and glassware l The menu offers lighter versions of Rellenos, tacos and tortilla and lettuce wraps even Burgers! Slices of cake are ample, cheesecake and tiramisu are also available! Tuna tacos were the special but as I am a big fan of Rellenos the Au Gratin Tuna Chili Rellenos appealed to me. Never in a million years would I have combined my mothers tuna salad recipe minus pickles with Ortega style green chilies. A salad of lettuce and two thick slices of tomatoes were dressed with a delicate oil and vinegar combo. I might not order this dish again but it was light and yummy. The Sowthwestern Chicken Salad with a double baked potato sounded yummy too! Starbucks beverages are featured and the prices for coffee beverages are excellent! (And I'm not a fan of Starbucks) Meet Candy when you dine! The story of La Cocina will touch your heart as it did mine! Oh... be sure to order an espresso with your Dessert!

It was another 15 minutes before the "fish and chips "was brought to the table.. having replaced the french fries with a cup of chili, I checked it to see if it was hot it was!!! Was the coleslaw called?? it was!!! But as I looked at the three planks of fish, my heart sink. Greasy glisten of the tempera like batter concerned me.. the batter was tough and I was unable to cut it with a fork. The tartar sauce was tasty and with a squeeze of lemon on the fish I was delighted to finally have food. I was only able to eat halfway through the first piece of fish before I started peeling away the batter once all three were released from their tough greasy death shrouds... I was able to enjoy about three ounces of fish! The server was attentive and offered a fresh decaf coffee cup to go! I have no idea what was going on at Black Bear last night . Absolutely not what we have experienced previously. The chili was spicy. The coleslaw was fresh.. the 1st cup of decaf was deplorable! Better days ahead I'm hoping !

Yep it's back by popular demand but it's now called egg in a nest. What the heck? Anyway every one ordered something different and we ate to our hearts content and had no complaints whatsoever about the food, the ambiance or the cleanliness. Chicken fried chicken dinner evaporated from his plate. The burger and onion petals seemed to have delighted the nephew. One of the ladies in our party seemed happy with her chicken strips, which were more than abundant! Another ordered a diet plate of some sort with cottage cheese and sliced tomatoes and was especially happy. A new item on the menu appealed to another. Louisiana shrimp skillet. Was flavorful, and those who tasted the nice portion of shrimp agreed that it was surprisingly delicious. The side, dishes of okra, and greens are always favorites. All of us commented on the new menu. Although we missed the old format, this one is easier to hold, and the print is bold enough that you're not needing to use your flashlight if you're older like we are. We are thankful that the menu has the old favorites, something new and that Cracker Barrel values its customers. It's such a nice thing to be able to travel and dine at any location and feel like your unfamiliar surroundings. But I wonder why is that there are so many locals who freely admit that they have never yet dined here? One maintenance issue... the latch on the ladies handicap stall door is STILL needing to be fixed! One issue with our visit. Not once were we offered refills on beverages.
