This place is small but it has a bunch of classic soul food dishes that we love. I got the smothered turkey wing plate under a bed of white rice, macaroni and cheese, collard greens (which isn't cooked in pork), and corn bread. The amount of food that was given was for two servings worth. My bf got the turkey wing plate as well instead of collards he got the green beans and the food was so good. They also serve desserts with banana pudding, sweet potato pie, and cookies. This is a local black owned busy serving good homestyle soul food for everyone. You gotta give it a try.

The drinks..... they have never disappointed and I've had different bartenders! I've had the steak, the lamb chops and a few other things. Everything has been great. I gave 4 out of 5 because whenever I've order an appetizer to come out prior to the food, it has never happened. One time the food came out and we were told the appetizer was in the way out. Not sure what is the issue there, especially since it was order prior to the food every time. I still would recommend this restaurant! Bon appetite!

A Taste of Heaven Rib Shack - Honest Review…read more I ordered the chicken, potato salad, mac and cheese, and cornbread, and I really expected the food to be off the chain, especially being from New Orleans where flavor is everything. The service was fine, but the food itself missed the mark for me. The seasoning was bland, the sides didn't have that homemade taste I was hoping for, and shortly after eating, I started feeling nauseous, which was disappointing and concerning. I wanted to love it, but the meal just didn't live up to the name or the hype.

At first I thought the prices were a little high but then I saw what all we got and it was well worth what they charge. We actually were confused at first by the Vegan trailer outside. I assumed they cooked in the house and sold out of the food trailer but that is a whole separate business, when I asked for meat they said "over there." We went inside the house and we were greeted by 2 nice beautiful ladies that explained all our questions, as it was our first trip in, and we put our order in. There is a good bit of room inside if you want to dine in but we were on the road so Togo it was. We ordered the 2 ribs lunch, a half rack which was 6 bones and the pork sandwich. I got the hot bbq on the half rack and it was actually medium in hotness just fyi. I'm not a huge fan of beef ribs because most people can't get them tender enough but TOH did the deed and they were fairly tender. We will be back again to try other options.

The cornbread was good. Overall, I would visit again because they offer menu options that are homestyle. Plenty to choose from if you dont eat pork or beef. Oh the deciding factor for me when choosing to visit a new restaurant is the health score. They had a 96A!

Customer service is great…read more Food is good, but you have to be aware of the prices posted on their a la carte menu. All though the prices are reasonable, they are actually higher than whats posted on their display board. The manager/owner is aware of this because I personally spoke with him several months ago and he has yet to change the pricing on the display board to align with whats actually being charged. I don't have a problem with paying whatever the price would be, my problem is with them not being upfront with their pricing. It's a matter of principle. I have been given cause to question their ethics and if I feel that they are not ethical, unfortunately I am unable to support the business. So my concluding message is buyer beware!

I love fried chicken (who doesn't?) but typically find other breading to be bland and oily and I usually pull it off to get to the juicy meat...but not at Delilah's. Just perfect. I think I'm going to order a take home portion for holiday dinners at home because I can't make them better than this! The service and personal experience was off the charts and exactly what southern hospitality is all about. My husband and I chatted with Jason, the owner, during our entire meal and learned so many cool things about their family and Delilah's story. I will be going back again and again and again. Definitely plan to take out of towners that are eager to find good authentic soul food.

The biggest disappointment was the service. Our hostess seemed completely disorganized, repeatedly forgot parts of our order, and somehow ended up charging me for both my meal and someone else's. The lack of attention and organization was frustrating, especially considering the prices. This restaurant has potential, but management really needs to take a closer look at staffing, training, and overall customer service. With better leadership and more attentive employees, I believe the experience could improve significantly. I might consider giving it another chance, but based on this visit, I can't say it was worth the money. I expected much better.

This location is The Man Cave. There is outdoor seating if you prefer fresh air. As we walked in we were greeted by Ms. Pat. She was very sweet and attentive. She informed us they have been there a year and invited us to come back for the New Years celebration. The interior is larger than it looks from the outside. There are booth seats that line the wall with maybe 30 small tables that have a chair. The booth seats are red with black tables/chairs. There is a small stage upfront possibly for the band or artist that sings. It's not large enough for a full band. There is another space for the hostess on the other side. The bar area is towards the rear where maybe 6 or 7 can sit. Ms. Pat took our order shortly after being seated. I ordered collards, yams, fried okra and 4 fried whole wings. You get a meat and 2 sides but I was being greedy! . My husband ordered dressing, smoked ribs, yams and cornbread. I enjoyed my lunch. The chicken wings were very small and that's how I like them. No one wants wings on steroids! Fried crispy and golden. Perfectly seasoned! The collards were delicious. Seasoned with smoked turkey. Okra was delicious fried just right. Crispy! The yams were not too sweet just right. My husband ordered the dressing bc Ms. Pat noted it was a favorite amongst the other guests. He wasn't too crazy about it but it was ok. The ribs were not seasoned enough. The sauce covered the meat so you were not able to really taste the "rib" but it was ok. He says he would not order again. The yams were perfect as I stated earlier. We were offered the Peach Cobbler but since we both had yams we declined the cobbler. Overall, we enjoyed it. Will come back and try other items on the menu. It is a very casual setting. If you want to dress up, go for it but the vibe is very casual. They are closed on Monday.

This is strictly about the customer service I received from Shay, the short older lady serving the line. I asked for my pork chop to be cooked fresh when I placed my order. I did not want the pork chops that were already sitting there. Instead of honoring that request, she served me the same pork chops I specifically said I didn't want -- and then wanted to debate with me about when they were cooked. Ma'am... why are we debating? I asked for my pork chops to be dropped upon request. This wasn't unreasonable -- I've asked for it before with no issue. Customer service matters just as much as the food.
