Food was actually really good until i thought i had a hard stem from the greens in my mouth. It appears to be some kind of zip tie

I love to support black businesses and put my money into them but this time, this is a HUGE Never Again! Where do I even begin??? I can't even review the food for this place because the wait is ridiculous. I understand the "cooked to order" concept, but they must have to hunt the chicken, catch the chicken, kill it, clean it and then cook it. It's literally ridiculous how long it takes. Are they cooking with a toaster oven or something?? It's very small so place your order and go back to car (if you even bother ordering from here.). And don't even think about standing at the counter - they have signs and hate it when you do. Do not let TikTok trick you into coming here. Oh and let me also mention that they don't have even HALF the stuff they listed on the menu. Let me tell you the most RIDICULOUS part: a two piece fish is them taking one tilapia filet and breaking it in half. I.KID.YOU.NOT. ****** Update after getting my order an hour and 10 minutes later***** This food is gross. The baked chicken is salty - way too salty in fact. I ordered a veggie plate for my husband: mashed potatoes (unseasoned and no gravy), pinto beans (hard and crunchy), sweet potatoes (good and seasoned well) and macaroni and cheese (gross!). I had the baked chicken (too salty), black eyed peas (no seasoning and some of the peas were hard), mac and cheese (gross. It's tasted rushed and had the funky cheese taste. Almost as if someone said let me just put some cheese in here). *Note: I took one scoop of everything out of my box just in case I didn't like it yet. Yup, didn't like it. This place is not going to last long at all with this type of service and piss-poor quality food.

Smothered Turkey chop fried, Black Eye Peas, Collard Greens, and cornbread.

So, I came here on a whim to try out some soul food in my area. This was the closest place to me so I tried this restaurant. My experience was so-so here. Service was okay. I waited about 2 minutes before someone came out to take my order. The menu is pretty big but not too overwhelming. The wait for the food was around 10-12 minutes. And from the pictures it looked super good. However, the taste was definitely different. Side dishes lacked salt (to me) and the rice wasn't cooked all the way through. Cornbread was very dry and the Smothered turkey chop I ordered was pretty good. The plates are pretty expensive, but they do give you a lot. I do hope they do get a makeover inside the establishment since it's a bit all over the place, but nonetheless they are some nice people just tryna make some good food. This is my review, and I wish nothing but UP for them!

The food is ok but they never have sweet potato pie available. They also never answer the phone. It's frustrating.

At first I thought the prices were a little high but then I saw what all we got and it was well worth what they charge. We actually were confused at first by the Vegan trailer outside. I assumed they cooked in the house and sold out of the food trailer but that is a whole separate business, when I asked for meat they said "over there." We went inside the house and we were greeted by 2 nice beautiful ladies that explained all our questions, as it was our first trip in, and we put our order in. There is a good bit of room inside if you want to dine in but we were on the road so Togo it was. We ordered the 2 ribs lunch, a half rack which was 6 bones and the pork sandwich. I got the hot bbq on the half rack and it was actually medium in hotness just fyi. I'm not a huge fan of beef ribs because most people can't get them tender enough but TOH did the deed and they were fairly tender. We will be back again to try other options.

A Taste of Heaven Rib Shack - Honest Review…read more I ordered the chicken, potato salad, mac and cheese, and cornbread, and I really expected the food to be off the chain, especially being from New Orleans where flavor is everything. The service was fine, but the food itself missed the mark for me. The seasoning was bland, the sides didn't have that homemade taste I was hoping for, and shortly after eating, I started feeling nauseous, which was disappointing and concerning. I wanted to love it, but the meal just didn't live up to the name or the hype.

If anything, I took it as a good sign. I noticed people weren't leaving or giving up on the line, they were staying and waiting, and to me that says the food must be good. Now let's get into the food... because this is where they really shine. I've had a lot of soul food around Atlanta, and I can honestly say flavor can be hit or miss depending on the place. But whoever is in that kitchen here, they are doing their thing. Everything tasted very homemade, like real deal, cooked with love type of food. The cornbread gave very much old school, just right. The peach cobbler? Absolutely outstanding. It's actually rare to find a restaurant peach cobbler that truly tastes homemade, and this one definitely did. That alone would make me come back. We ordered the beef meatloaf, mac and cheese, collard greens, lima beans, and dressing. The dressing was especially good, again very homemade and full of flavor. The only small thing I would mention is there wasn't any gravy on the dressing, and I would've loved that. The meatloaf was good, but could've used a bit more sauce since it was just a pinch overcooked. Outside of that, everything was really good. The food was flavorful, the portions were solid, and the prices were very affordable. Overall, I'd definitely rate this place highly. I truly enjoyed it and will be coming back. I'll also be recommending it to my family and friends for sure.

This location is The Man Cave. There is outdoor seating if you prefer fresh air. As we walked in we were greeted by Ms. Pat. She was very sweet and attentive. She informed us they have been there a year and invited us to come back for the New Years celebration. The interior is larger than it looks from the outside. There are booth seats that line the wall with maybe 30 small tables that have a chair. The booth seats are red with black tables/chairs. There is a small stage upfront possibly for the band or artist that sings. It's not large enough for a full band. There is another space for the hostess on the other side. The bar area is towards the rear where maybe 6 or 7 can sit. Ms. Pat took our order shortly after being seated. I ordered collards, yams, fried okra and 4 fried whole wings. You get a meat and 2 sides but I was being greedy! . My husband ordered dressing, smoked ribs, yams and cornbread. I enjoyed my lunch. The chicken wings were very small and that's how I like them. No one wants wings on steroids! Fried crispy and golden. Perfectly seasoned! The collards were delicious. Seasoned with smoked turkey. Okra was delicious fried just right. Crispy! The yams were not too sweet just right. My husband ordered the dressing bc Ms. Pat noted it was a favorite amongst the other guests. He wasn't too crazy about it but it was ok. The ribs were not seasoned enough. The sauce covered the meat so you were not able to really taste the "rib" but it was ok. He says he would not order again. The yams were perfect as I stated earlier. We were offered the Peach Cobbler but since we both had yams we declined the cobbler. Overall, we enjoyed it. Will come back and try other items on the menu. It is a very casual setting. If you want to dress up, go for it but the vibe is very casual. They are closed on Monday.
