Walking into Ms. Movale's Eatery I was excited. The staff was very friendly and very welcoming. The ambiance was vibrant. The restaurant was clean. And the menu was robust. As this was my first time, I took a moment to scroll the menu in full as there were so many good options. I was torn between Whiting and Wings but finally decided on the wing dinner. The dinners come with 2 sides so I chose Macaroni and Cheese and Cabbage. I went to the cashier, placed my order, paid, and was on my way to wait for my food. As I waited, I enjoyed all the original artwork on the walls and the music that was playing. Though it was almost closing time, the team still kept an upbeat mood and tone going. When my food was ready, I got my plate and was out the door. As soon as I got in the car all I could smell was soul food goodness. Oh my gosh! I smelled seasoning salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and a hint of season all. Babeeeeeeeeee! I was ready to eat. Opening up my tray, the wings were wingettes, however, they were fried to golden brown perfection and seasoned for the tongue pleasing gods. The chicken was hot and fresh and just had to taste one. I just wanted to taste one as I was hungry and just needed something to hold me until I got home. Well, to my surprise, somehow all of my wings were gone by the time I got home. Lmbooooooooooooooooo. Yes yall. I ate every single one on the ride home. Them things were thangannnnnnn. The Macaroni and Cheese was homemade. The flavor profile was exactly as it should be. The texture was creamy and the noodles were tender but not too soft. I would definitely get it again. The cabbage was shredded which made it perfect as a pairing to the wings. It was tender with a hint of crunch just like I like it and the flavor profile had a hint of sweetness. Whew! Whoever made this cabbage understood the entire assignment because babeeeeeeeee.
