We had the same thing happen at the original location before they moved in to their new larger location which happens to be in the same place that a local and family favorite previously occupied. We can understand turning away a large group in the first location because it was pretty small. We had a group of 6 and they would not set us. This time we tried again at the new location and had a larger group of 11. We all came from at least 4 hours out of town and some from New York. We come to Nashville Indiana/Brown county quite literally every year the week of the 22 in October and have been for over 20 years. This year is especially meaningful because my father in law has been diagnosed with a very serious medical condition making this possibly his last trip. We weren't able to try out the new cafe and give our family a memorable experience in one of our favorite spots even though it is a new business. We even asked them to split up our group and they were unwilling to accommodate. This may well be our final attempt to try out this restaurant which is a shame because all the work they have done has really made the place look very nice and the menu looks good. Little kids were having a great time running around and dancing, but not many adults came to sit in that area. There's no dance floor space, which was disappointing. We enjoyed a walk around the pretty fall-decorated grounds at dusk, then stopped in the bottle shop, where we purchased cinnamon vodka. Since we hadn't done a tasting (which range in price from $25-$70/person), we didn't buy bourbon or whiskey.
