Excellent service. The staff are consistent and professional at each location. I love how when you enter the car wash it's a whole system and you don't feel confused like at a rundown gas station. There were times where I was stuck in the car wash for a few minutes and had to call the attendant and there was a communication barrier. Not at Brown bear. There's a satisfaction to having clean rag/towel and cleaning your car with your neighbors. I'm not a huge fan of the scents and that's just because I have scent sensitivity. I can always tell the smell in a Lyft ride and it smells good in short rides. Great job BB! Your headquarters are also well designed. read more

Their same day rehash offer is a joke. I had gone through the car wash a couple of times over the last several months. Each time, I got home to notice that the top part of my trunk wasn't clean. When I went in today, I remembered to look at my car before driving away and it still wasn't clean. I went to speak with someone about getting it washed again, the employee I spoke to didn't even look at my car. He said I was going to go have to buy a cleaning product somewhere because they didn't have any and I was going to have to "loosen it up" and go through the car wash again. I've been going through Brown Bear car washes since I was a little kid and actually have quite fond memories of going through the car wash (rainbow wax anyone??) However, this car wash has really beat up our car multiple times now. The first time it ripped off the cap on our tow hitch, which is slightly understandable. Luckily we noticed and drove back to get it. The second time it completely ripped off our front license plate, frame and holder, which can only be purchased through the dealership. So we drove back to Brown Bear, filed a report, had to purchase the part from the dealer, go back to Brown Bear to show them a receipt and apply to be reimbursed and then we were mailed a check weeks later. All for a $12 car wash. I warned my best friend what we were experiencing there. She said she's never had issues...the next car wash she got at this Brown Bear, it ripped the rubber seal off the top of her car. Buyer beware. If you do get your car washed here...check the exterior of your car before you just drive home so you don't have to go back and forth when you notice things. read more

Employees are nice but they line was toooooo long to go through again because I got the Beary best and I left with almost as dirty of a car as when I went through. Paying for the highest car wash they offer and it does nothing is a rip off. They use to pre-brush pre-soak your car, and now nothing I will not be going back and wasting more of my money on a car wash that does nothing. Their response will probably be well. You should've went through again not when the line is out onto Lake City Way. read more

Decent drive through car wash. The price is pretty fair as well, it could get pretty pack if you don't plan ahead so make sure you find an appropriate time to dodge the rush. Their vacuum's are always occupied so i would advise the same advice on finding a perfect time to come. read more

Yesterday was the very first time coming here. Thankfully I stopped in right when they opened so there wasn't a long line. My truck came out pretty clean with the Bery Best car wash. Only complaint is that my truck now smells like a septic sewer! Since brown bear recycles there water. They need to not reuse the damn water for how ever long they do. Because it stinks really badly. I believe in reusing, but damn there should be a time line on how long they can reuse the same nasty water! read more

New to the Area. First time Customer. Andrew was very helpful getting me signed up for unlimited washes for both of my vehicles. Will be coming here weekly. The RFIDctag works great. Came by and during my wash a piece of body molding came off. Thankfully Staff found it in the wash afterward. I called and arranged to pick it up. Saved me a few hundred bucks as it was undamaged and the body shop reattached it in a few minutes. read more

They advertise on their sign (just before you pull up to the tunnel) that you can make special requests, however they argue with you when you do. I have tight spokes on my wheels, so I asked to have them pre washed. It took talking with the manager to get my request met, then they spent about 2 - 3 seconds on each wheel, definitely not good customer service. I have an unlimited car wash membership, so hopefully the service improves. read more

Took our new pearl white Toyota Sequoia through this wash. It came out with black grease streaks all over the front end. Showed the manager on sight, and he couldn't be more of an unhelpful, lackadaisical, jerk. He adamantly refused to agree that the streaks came from the car wash. He brought over a dirty rag with some cleaning product and removed one streak, but then stopped because he didn't believe it was his problem to fix. Pathetic! read more

So my car was filthy from being parked at the airport for 2 weeks & I couldn't stand it for another minute. Saw the coupon on the back of my FM receipt & said why not. The wash was fine and the young man that assisted me going in was very polite but in waiting for my car to be vacuumed because they were backed up there was a very nasty profanity blaring from the cars that were using their lot to clean their wheels & vacuums etc.I spoke to the manager said they can't ask their customers to keep their music down or do anything about it - I insisted it is the property owners responsibility for their customers to feel safe and not intimidated while using their services & suggested they put up a sign saying out of consideration for all of our clients that music be kept low or off. Why should we have to tolerate nasty music? There were other young children around too. read more

I really never had any issues. We get the 16 dollar one gets our wheels nice and shiny and some good wax. They got the free rags to wipe your door jams with and a vacuum for vacuuming for after the wash. It is big enough to fit a Ford F-350. read more

Lovely, effective, and quick. There are two lines and automated pay stations that quickly process incoming people. I had a coupon and an attendant made sure to verify it then politely asked if i wanted and upgrade; I declined, and he showed me where to go. There are easy to read signs posted everywhere and all the attendants are happy to help! This "basic wash" was all I needed! I love that they have tire cleaners; the wheels look so perfect and every other car wash never gets the wheels clean. Literally no complaints. It looks like you get a deal if you wash your car frequently. Not worth it for my situation; but what a cool feature! I was in and out in like 5 minutes. What more can you want?? read more

OK, decided to try another car wash at the Lake City Brown Bear. This time they ripped off the front license plate and frame. This is the second time this has happened, and they (on another occasion) ripped off the rear windshield wiper. When I went to buy replacement parts the parts guy said "Oh, you want a Brown Bear repair kit!" So I assume it's not just me. I really wish I could recommend this local business, but my recommendation is to avoid them. read more

Purchased the most expensive package, and upon pulling out to vacuum the car afterwards, I saw there were still bird droppings on the roof. Spoke with the attendant who sent me through for a re-wash, and only upon exiting did I see they used the cheapest option for the second wash. While the bird droppings were (mostly) gone, I was concerned the basic wash just rinsed off the clear coat/wax/etc I just paid good money for. I went back to the attendant to ask about my concerns and his response was, at best, surly. He asked if there were still bird droppings on my car, and when I answered no he asked why I thought I should go back through. Very rude and disappointing experience. I won't be coming back here again, and will give any other brown bear locations a second thought. read more

I've only been here one time So I can only speak of the one experience. I'm pretty sure I won't go back again. For one thing is just so tight in there and you get one person that doesn't know how to stay in their Lane and it screws up the whole system. I've been much further behind in line add another brown bear on Aurora avenue and it didn't take half the time they get through this one. I also noticed when I got to the end the light lighted sign thank me for buying the very bright wash but I actually paid for a more expensive wash. Who knows what I really got. read more

This place deserves about a 1.5 stars. The employee standing at the automatic car wash entrance was nice. That's the only redeeming quality. I can't recommend this car wash unless you have a very old scratched up car. I just had $6500 body work done on an older car (due to being rear ended) so now my 8 year old car looks brand new. I used to only rarely wash my car, but now that it looks brand new, I was going to get on a schedule to wash and vacuum it every month. During the car wash, the blow dryers looked like they were about to rip off my windshield wipers. I wish there was an option to skip the blow drying step at the end. I usually hand dry my car with a towel when using the self car washes. After exiting the car wash, I saw that the entire rubber sealer that goes between the ceiling and the door had been ripped off and was just hanging by a thread. I had to shove the whole thing back into the crevice. Then when I looked at my doors and the windshield, there were new scratches that definitely weren't there before the car wash. To add to that, the top of my car still had some dirt and other stains that didn't get washed off even though the car wash is clearly pretty aggressive. Maybe the scrubbers had some rocks stuck to them and that led to the scratches. I've used other Brown Bear locations throughout town, and also the Costco automatic car wash in SODO. Those don't seem to have the problems that this location has. Very disappointing as this location is the closest to me. I will try the Eco Car Cafe next. They advertise hand car washes so hopefully there won't be scratches with that method. read more

The best car wash in Seattle! I don't know what they do to make my car extra shiny (very berry car wash) but my car looks clean even 2 weeks after having it cleaned here. I come all the way from Ballard to get my car washed here. I like the fact there is a mirror to look at to line up your tires when entering the car wash, that helps!! 5 stars all the way! If you have a used car, say more than three years old, this car wash is excellent and does a fantastic job of removing dirt and grime without having to leave your car. However, it costs more than doing it yourself: $11 for the basic wash, the Beary Clean package $13 for the intermediate, which includes tire polish, the Beary Bright package $15 for the "Beary Best" which includes all the previous plus "teflon" wax an underspray. If your vehicle gets dirty often, I highly recommend the Unlimited Wash Club for $20 a month, plus tax, the "Beary Clean" package, which is much more economical than $15 a time. Another option is the monthly unlimited Beary Best package for $40 a month, plus tax, which includes the Beary Bright package plus Tri-color polish, Chassis Armor, which is an undercarriage wash and rush inhibitor, and the BB262 "carnuba shield" clear coat protectant. Both options have a soft cloth exterior wash, spot free rinse and air dry. You can pay by the month as you go, with recurring billing, and cancel any time, or even sign up for a year and get two months free. This Brown Bear has decent hours, a very good location and is accessible from Lake City Way NE at NE 143rd Street, just south of Walgreens on the east side of the street. Be wary, however, as if you have a NEW CAR ONLY, the swirling things (see the picture of the spinning brush with the truck) will leave minute swirl marks on the clear coat of your car, so if you have a NEW CAR ONLY, less than one year old, it is better not to go through the tunnel and instead go to the hand-wash version of Brown Bear on NE 125th Street at the top of the hill on 15th Ave. NE across from the 7-11 and the Safeway up there. This delay of one year is to allow the paint to cure properly, and even the owner's manual says to avoid tunnel car washes for at least six months after purchase. Other than that, as I mentioned, it is a much better deal to buy one of the unlimited wash club passes if you like your car as clean as I do. Then they give you stickers for your windshield and door jamb. The only problem I have experienced--and this is me, personally--is that every time I wash my car, it rains the same night or the next day. Darn! Have a nice day, rain or shine. read more

This place just opened this summer. I couldn't wait until they finally opened. It was my own private torture to drive past the old 76 station waiting for them to FINALLY open to the public. Thank goodness they did. For a local town car company owner, it doesn't get any better than this. First off, this is Brown Bear's top-of-the-line drive through car wash. It takes less than 2 minutes for you to drive in and drive out with a clean and sparkly car (if you have the monthly pass, it's an automated process that zips you through). This newest location has every option, and can even apply tire shine to your wheels while you're driving through the wash (included in the Beary Best package). Kenny, the manager, is one of the nicest guys around. He really likes his job, likes seeing the people every day, and when it's been slow, has even helped me wipe down my town car from time-to-time. This location is brand new and it seems just fine - I kind of like how there are bear statues all over the place. The guys who work there kind of swab down your car and then the machine does the rest.
