Super convenient and easy to use. They take credit card, which charges a $1/minute of use of any of the wash settings at the time of writing the review. Super easy to move between settings. Has a brush that made all the difference. Just remember to pull the handle for any of the high pressure settings for rinsing! There's about 5 bays (1 unconverted and 4 covered) with everything you need - high pressure soap, foam brush, wax, etc. Each bay takes tokens which you can get from the shared pay machine. You can get $5, $10, and $20 in tokens with each $1 per token. For my $5 wash, I got about 7 minutes which was just enough. read more

This is for the White Center location! Horrific! Stay away! Numerous bays out of order, no signs or orange cones to tell you that. You wait for an open spot then find out machine does not work. Machines do not take credit cards only tokens, once purchased tokens are non-refundable. We bought $20 of tokens. No attendant, available to guide you away from bays that are out of order. We were so frustrated we wanted our $20 back, so we could take our cars elsewhere. NOPE! We called the telephone assistance line, but no one there to answer. Numurouse homeless, mentally ill, yelling and screaming at you. We toughed this one out, and used the place, just so we would not be throwing away the $20. In September, in the parking lot of Just Plain Grocery and Gas, I noticed something had fallen off of The Jeep and was touching the ground. I reached underneath and pulled out a loose plate of metal - the engine splash shield, I think? Nico told me it was an omen - that was the beginning of the end for his car. I didn't believe him! The Jeep only had 70,000 miles on it, and I'd just spent $3,000 replacing tires, brakes, rotors, shocks and whatever else made it cost that much money! But he was right. Just a few months later, you fell off your bike and were hurt so badly I had nightmares about it, and you drove The Jeep to work for a couple of weeks. As your shoulder was finally healing, you said, have you noticed The Jeep making a weird rumbling noise when you turn it on? I had a feeling the transmission was giving up. Not based on any knowledge of cars, but a mother's intuition. I drove The Jeep around Green Lake with Freddie in the passenger seat, and I looked at her, and I said, "Whelp, Nico was right." Really it was just the countershaft bearing, but the entire transmission would need to be rebuilt, and there was no guarantee it wouldn't fail again. Mother knows best. Someone at the dealership (who quoted me $7,000 for the repair job?!?) said they'd buy The Jeep off of me, but some part of me felt like giving it to a Jeep dealership would be like taking a rescue puppy back to the pound to sit and watch the cuter dogs get swept away to a loving home. Anyway, I took The Jeep to Car Wash Palace to remove any trace of me. I cannot, in the English language, explain the smell that filled my car when I turned on the vacuum in Bay 1. But I'll try: Imagine you grew up in rural Florida, and your parents drop you off at your grandma's house for the weekend, and the windows in that house are stuck shut with years of neglect, and the curtains covering said windows are slick with the grease and smoke and dust of the past 30 years, and your grandma - let's call her Gigi - smokes two packs of Newports per day and sometimes forgets to take out the trash or clean the cats' litterbox (there are seven cats of varying colors and dispositions, all over the age of 12) but she wears an incredibly potent floral perfume that permeates every square inch of this house, and you were born with an unusually keen sense of smell but also a proclivity for scent-stimulated headaches, and it's 104 degrees inside in the middle of the night. That's kind of what it smelled like. And as I dragged the vacuum over the passenger seat, I thought about every single butt cheek that rested here. Dogs that are dead now. Men I slept with. Friends who don't speak to me anymore. My own ass, maybe after two drinks, not comfortable driving but plenty comfortable yelling at you for not shifting at the exact right moment. In the dark, while you're at home sick calling car dealerships about The Jeep's replacement, I do a piss poor job with the scant five minutes provided by the self-service wash at removing any trace of the times The Jeep took a dirt road to the Teanaway Forest, or inched its way home through several feet of Michigan snow, or towed a canoe to Ross Lake, or slogged through the ankle-breaking traffic (the only time I won't miss a manual transmission) on Mercer Street after work on my way to your house in the early days. And in the parking lot of a Ford dealership in Bellingham, little streaks of dirt still visible on the rear passenger door, little clumps of Freddie's fur still clinging to the back seat, I left The Jeep without saying goodbye. read more

This place is a great do it yourself car wash. For $2, you get 3 minutes. If you have a small car, you could probably get it done in that amount of time. The more times you come here the faster you will get. So they have a power hose that is really nice, very good water pressure gets dirt off great and not powerful enough to damage your car. They have a brush which is very soft. There's a mode you switch where soap comes out of the brush as you're scrubbing your car. They also have a vacuum for $2. This place is of a great value that it's definitely worth 5 stars. The thing here is you control everything and you are not subjected to the wear and tear and scratches from an automatic car wash. I love this place. It's the only car wash in town that actually has heated water. But more so even though It is self-serve, there are no attendants, The customer service there is fantastic. I had deposited money at my bay and when I turned on the machine, water started spraying from the top. The hose had broken, but you couldn't really see it until it was actually on. It made for a great show, water spraying everywhere, lol. I called the phone number and followed the instructions letting them know the problem. I moved to the next bay and washed my car with that lovely warm water. I got a call back later and the man apologized for the inconvenience, and asked for my address to send my refund. Not only did he send my refund, he also included a $2 bill. What a kind and generous gesture. It's also savvy as hell. It's so nice in this day and age to see old fashioned "above and beyond" customer service. read more

One of the very few self-service (self-wash, etc.) car washes still standing in Seattle Bring some of the green paper with small numbers and exchange them for.tokens so you can vacuum your vehicle out. Then get the scrub brush all soapy and lather up that vehicle-c'mon use some elbow grease and get out that grime-now rinse. Hopefully it's a hot and sunny day and you hosed yourself off. Drag those rugrats with you. They might even have some fun. How much to groom that pampered pedigree? Let's be creative here and have some fun because simple things like this won't be around much longer and you don't need to fork over a small fortune to get the car reasonably clean for a short period of time. I'm writing a negative review because they should fix their token vending machine. My credit card was charged for $10 in tokens. During this transaction, another customer approached the same machine and submitted a $1 bill. Unfortunately, the tokens for both transactions dispense in the same slot. In total, the machine dispensed only two tokens. The other customer took one, and so I was left with only one token for my $10. I considered trying to find staff to help with the issue, but it was not clear at the time whether my card was charged $1 or $10 - I could not find any confirmation on the card reader regarding the charge, so I assumed it was just $1. Days later the charge showed up as $10 on my credit card statement. Besides the payment issue, this is a convenient place to clean a car. read more

Their token thing is a little bit of racket to bring you back if you don't use them all. Credit or debit was also accepted, unless his swiper was broken, which it often was. In the chandleries of Ballard and in the brothels of Aurora people whispered about his proclivities. He made his carriages smell like cherries using a confusing censer designed by the devil. He posted large signs every five feet banning the use of buckets. He attempted to convert the world's coinage to currency which was useless outside of his bailiwick. The Car Wash King died when a militia wielding foaming brushes stormed his gates, his useless blue towels as their guidons. At his funeral, disgruntled citizens spattered water on his coffin without wiping it off, leaving hideous rain spots. I stayed in Seattle downtown area and it is hard to find self service car wash, i was pass by and found this place 15 mins from downtown. First 4 mins for $2, reasonable price, it has very good water pressure, it blast off all the dead bug without wiping from the front of my car that brought from California, only con is lack of spotless rinse.
