This was my second time at Suvna as I was satisfied with the first visit. I was also a walk in. When I go to threading, I typically request sideburns in addition to brows (I have brown hair and I like cleaning up this side profile before events/trips.) during the treatment, the individual threading my sideburns went well beyond my sideburns into my lower chin, cheek, and more, which I was not comfortable with as I have sensitive skin and treatment wasn't requested there. I have experience threading this area and it was well beyond other's scope. The individual had difficulty with my right sideburn, the first side she did, and proceeded to rush the left side. When I got into my car after paying and tipping, I noticed that I had three bloody marks on my lower chin where she cut me with the thread. This is highly upsetting, given I had come in for sideburns and this area never should have been in scope, and now the skin is damaged. I am happy to share photos of the chin cuts at people's request. I read through 1 or 2 negative reviews below and I would agree with the sentiment that there must be a few new staff outside the owner that are less experienced. Still a solid affordable place, but wanted to share my experience.

I told her on multiple occasions that I wanted a flat top on my eyebrow. But at the end, she told me that she was following my natural brow bone as a guide for threading. I hesitantly complied. I waited til the next day to sit on how I feel about the brow work. I took selfies after doing my usual makeup routine. My eyebrows are far from flat. It is very arched! I've had my brows done by three threaders in the past who are able to have them flat on top as I wish. I felt saddened because I got my brows done the day before getting my headshots taken and I was wondering why i couldn't recognized myself when I was previewing the photos. Brow threading service was $25. The only awkward part was that she asked me to use my hands to hold the skin near my eyebrows tight while she worked. I've only had brow threading done a few times before, but this was a first for me and I wasn't sure I was doing it right. The service was painless and done in 10 minutes. When they show me after I kind of feel like I have to accept it because I don't want them to mess up my brows more. Not a good feeling. My mom's brows are thinner and hers still looked a mess afterwards and they messed up the shape of her right brow a bit by making it too thin. Overall not impressed with the work. My most recent encounter was with the Manager of the Roseville location, I did not get her name, nor did she tell me her name when I asked for the manager (Phone interaction). I had a pass that was for 9 waxes, and then they had a promotion going on two months ago (June) for the unlimited pass. This is what I really do not like about EWC, they push the front staff to up sale so they will withhold important information just to make the sale, or mislead you to make the sale. I was advised, my unlimited pass would start after I finished my current pass, so I went ahead with the purchase. I finally finished my last wax for my 9-pass last weekend 8/16. When I asked the front staff when my new pass would start the gave me a date of Aug 20. It didn't make sense to me, since I wouldn't be in for at least another 3 weeks, so I'm basically losing a month. The manager wasn't in so then I called later on in the week. When I call the manager told me the pass starts when I bought it. Again, this is not what I was told. She then continued to tell me my 9-wax pass was completed in June when I bought the unlimited pass, which was not accurate. So, that tells me she really didn't look at my account before trying to get assist me and really just wanted to get me off the phone. She then said that I was correct and my last visit was 8/16 so she'll change my new pass to start 8/17. Again, how is this fair to me that I would be losing a month? Had I known it was going to start the day I made the purchase I wouldn't purchase the pass until I needed it. She then put me on hold and came back and said it was company policy that they couldn't change the start date, but she was going to do it this one time for me (as if it was my fault that they did a poor job providing the proper information). Then she continued to tell me that my pass for the 9 visit never expires and that I could've saved it and started using my unlimited pass right away. She did not like that I pushed back and stated that it should've been communicated to me at the time of the purchase. It was just upsetting for me because there was no accountability taken and she basically blamed me and acted like she was doing me a favor for the misinformation given. I've heard numerous stories from esthetician about how terrible the leadership and the management is with the company. I truly feel bad for them. I loved every esthetician that I had, I switched locations just to follow certain esthetician. This is really just more information to get all the details before making any purchases, the front will be pushy but that's because they have to be.
