The shop is clean and everyone was very friendly. I communicated how I like my eyebrows and the results are exactly what I wanted! I'm not big on shaping or anything like that. I have had my eyebrows threaded here about 6 times. I found out about Brow Spa after the place I went to for years went out of business. To be honest, the convenience is what draws me to coming here. It's super close to my house and I don't have to make an appointment. I walk in and usually immediately sit down and am done in about 10 minutes. Also, parking is easy even though it's in the Galleria mall. Brow spa is located near Dillards on the Clayton road side where there aren't usually too many cars. I have read many negative reviews on Brow spa, but I can only speak from my own experience. I have been happy with my eyebrows after getting them threaded, besides one time where I felt they took off too much hair on the top side of my brow. After this experience I always make sure I state that I just want them cleaned up and not thinned or shaped. This has helped to make sure my eyebrow isn't skinnier than I would like. I have never tried any of there other services so I would read other reviews regarding those. I do naturally have thick, dark and lots of hair so I may be an easier client than those with finer, light hair. They dont compare to the place I use to go but overall I keep coming back and have been happy with the results! read more

A tech administered a threading solution for reshaping my brows. I was sadly disappointed for a few reasons. For one, once I was able to get home to a mirror with magnification I realize that she totally missed numerous hairs. This should have been evident but there was no magnification mirror provided and there was no focused light and magnifying glass used by the practitioner. In my experience the best provided solutions are both generally not located inside of a shopping mall, but sometimes a girl has emergencies, and the technician usually has the tools to make sure the treated areas are highly reflected upon. The other issue that was a huge faux pas was pulling numerous hairs to reshape my brows and then applying no topical or cooling treatment following so effectively I left with not only some disappointment but inadequately treated facial skin in one of the most sensitive regions of the face. I literally had to apply my own facial sunscreen and moisturizer after the treatment. For the price and the convenience if you're inside of a mall I mean it's not too bad but I wouldn't say that it really qualifies is what I understand as a "spa" even a day spa. My suggestion is to keep the shopping malls for shopping and the botox, hair and facial treatments, and other cosmetic procedures in the doctor's offices. Had I have gone to my preferred practitioner at the Four Seasons in downtown St Louis or Dr Amy Miller with St Louis Skin Solutions I'm sure I would not even be writing this review. Anybody looking for a really good cosmetic doctor does non-surgical procedures or an amazing spa, or at least these locations were when I previously lived in St Louis about 10 years ago, check out both of these highly recommended operations. And please do trust that not every Four Seasons is the same because the one in Chicago, although connected to amazing shopping on the Ritz and provides impeccable accommodations, their spa was deplorable compared to what St Louis has to offer. read more

I would give -negative zero stars to this business. They are that bad! I wish I had read Yelp & Google reviews before. I think their license should be pulled. It's obvious the girl who did mine is not experienced & possibly not licensed. My friend gets her brows done elsewhere and her brows are like mine thin sparse in some areas & hers are fab: no feathering, sharper edges, neat, uniformly done and very professional looking. The tech free handed the brows which left mine with uneven edges and not enough color in some areas. Her attitude was if you don't like it come back for the $575 tint... you get what you pay for. Yet, While consulting with her she stated her brows was what mine would look like after the henna tint: hers looked amazing: neat, sharp edges, uniform color, no mottled or feathered edges where she had less hair. Prejudicial? I'm not sure maybe it was just her work ethic that was not ok. Note: I have had better results at home using a stencil brow kit. I am very disappointed and found this place is definitely not worth the time or money. It is a NO GO! read more

No one should be sliced open during a threading and then be told it's because they have sensitive skin. If you slice down to someone's dermis layer it's because too much tension was applied to the thread, too much pressure into the skin, and too much friction. I am from out of town, I never once had a threading appointment go this bad back home. I asked for thick and straight. I attached three photos: The first one is my original eyebrow, the photo taken in lower lighting The second one with me looking down was taken immediately after I left. And the third is the final result of "expert shaping" and scabbing i now have. Please just don't go here. I wish I had a time machine. Terrible. I want my $20 back. She can keep the tip. read more

This is the second time I've been to Brow Spa and the second time they've messed up my eyebrows. I went last year and my eyebrows were visibly mismatched with one coming in way too far and being far boxier than the other. I thought this was a fluke based on the google reviews (should've looked at the yelp reviews) and figured I'd give this place another shot while shopping. BIG MISTAKE. My eyebrows are again visibly mismatched-- to the point where my sister actually looked at my brows and apologized. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the damage until later when I got home and really took a good look. Despite having a different lady thread my eyebrows, one was still taken in too far. They are entirely different shapes and the front on the left (my right) brow is atrocious. You can see the gap and overall damage in the photos. Seriously, I could have done a better job blindfolded. This is the second and last time I give this place a chance. I really regret paying for my eyebrows to be butchered to the point that it's embarrassing. I honestly have NEVER in my threading experiences had as bad of results as those from Brow Spa, and I've been to a lot of threading studios in multiple cities. If you care about how your eyebrows look at all, please do not get your eyebrows threded here. read more

It's easy to not mess up if you're frequently keeping them done once a week but please just do them yourself because I've been growing mines out for 6 months and I came in to get them done and they look so bad. Asked for a wax when I came in. Then the technician ignored me asking for a wax and tried doing threading where I insisted on wax again. She then does wax but not anywhere close to my actual eyebrows. She got wax all in my hair and on my face. She then goes oh I need to thread to clean them up ...again going against me wanting a wax only. Then proceeds to hurt me through threading which I told her many times. When she claims she's finished and hands me a mirror I have to ask if she has tweezers because she missed so much. When she gets done tweezing like 4 hairs I was like it's fine and I get up to pay and leave and she asked me if I liked it I said no of course not because you didn't even arch my eyebrows or anything. And she can't rewax it because you can't do wax over the same area. She stated oh I can tweezer it I said I can do that at home and not be hurt. Honestly if the technicians can't wax properly then they definitely shouldn't offer it. Waste of time and money. So I came here multiple times for eyebrow threading and collected a stamp every time I got my eyebrows done. I assumed that they can combine my rewards because let's be real, this is a typical assumption. It was my 10th visit... I assumed that this service was free. Lo and behold, they said they couldn't combine the cards because they'll get fired. What kind of messed up rule is that? First off, where does it say I can't combine my rewards? I have been getting eyebrows threaded for years. I gave this place a shot for the first time and the lady left me with so many cuts above my eyelid and then proceeded to tell me I had sensitive skin. No lady, you were rushing and not being careful, I've never had this many cuts. Never again! I went there to have eyebrows threaded (they charge 12 dollars). The people working there are not the most pleasant, and the entire process is ungodly painful. I was crying and had to get a tissue to wipe away my tears. Now I have a pretty high tolerance for pain and I know threading is a little painful, but that was way over the limit. You wanna know the worse thing? My eyebrows ended up looking not the same. One is a thicker and higher than the other. Don't go there! read more

I guess I should precede what I write by saying that this is only one of a handful of reviews I have ever posted and the only negative one. I am only posting this negative review in the hopes that others will not end up in the same situation that I did and/or that perhaps the owner will take notice of what occurs in the salon. While visiting family in STL, and catching up on some Christmas shopping, I noticed Brow Spa... thinking that they would be exceptional at what they did (considering they primarily do eyebrows) I stopped in. Rushed into a chair I was told that my eyebrows needed to be threaded, not waxed. Typically I have my brows waxed, but have had them threaded before and so agreed with the overly insistent salon worker. Eck! What a huge mistake. The salon worker literally had the thread in her mouth before she pushed me back in the chair. Feeling so rushed, and starting to really worry about the quality of the salon due to the lack of any hygiene practices being followed, I managed to tell the girl that I wanted her to follow the line of the brows that I had already.. really just to clean up a few strands. After a few minutes of pain I was handed a mirror... I barely had eyebrows left. What little was left was ragged, uneven, and I had a cut in my brow space. It gets worse. The salon worker used a cheap Vaseline brand lotion on top of the brows. When asked her to stop she pushed my arm down and applied regardless. When I mentioned the thinness of my brows she brought out some makeup that she applied, once again using makeup brushes that were not sterilized. The salon worker was then annoyed when I did not buy the makeup. Ack! As with hair, my brows will grow back but I hope to caution anyone from going to Brow Spa until some serious updates to staff and hygiene have been made. read more

I went yesterday to have my eyebrows done. It was a HORRIBLE JOB. I don't know the young girls name but she wore glasses and had a bob haircut. One is thin like dental floss and the other is thick. This place has absolutely NO BUSINESS DOING EYELASH EXTENSIONS. The first time I had them done they came off within two days. I guess they have been getting complaints because , against my better judgment, I decided to again the second time, and I am regretting that decision. The lady put SO MUCH GLUE on my lashes that 1) you could see the glue (I've never seen extensions where you actually see clumps of glue) and 2) she put so much glue that my real eyelashes came off. I have been to this location about 3 times, with no major complaints. They aren't amazing, but not terrible. But today, I had the worst service. I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for over 10 years and this is the first time I have had scratches/blood drawn. Nobody should ever make you bleed when you're getting your eyebrows done. I went back to talk to the lady that helped me, and she blamed it on my "skin" and that I "did not pull my skin taught enough." I was not even asking for a refund... So, I heard that they do Eyelash extensions and I waited an hour for the lady to come in to do them and they ended up being the lashes you get from Walgreens. If you're going to promote eyelash extensions have it be real thing and NOT TRY AND CHARGE SOMEBODY $45+ for lashes that cost $10 and less at the store. It takes 10 minutes to put those on ladies. I'm very disappointed and I rather spend $80-100 to get lashes done that I know will last. Don't go here for lashes! They act scary in there anyways like they don't want to talk to you. read more

Not sanitary AT ALL! I never see the workers wash or sanitize before doing my eyebrows. Then, the lady went to go use the SAME eyebrow comb that she used on other customers without sanitizing it. I said "you didn't even sanitize that" and she goes "we sanitize at the end of the day" DISGUSTING. I will never go back to this place I am disgusted at the lack of care for the customers safety and lack of sanitization.
