I love this place. I am one of those girls who never cared about eyebrows. My roommates and friends have all been convincing me to either pluck or wax my eyebrows- but it's so painful. One day I mustered up the courage to get my eyebrows threaded and I'm so happy I chose this place! The main woman who works there assured me she would not go over-bird with the thinness. I'm the worst kind of Chicana. Vegetarian and entirely lax about my brow game. No carne asada for me and no arsenal of brow pencils in my Caboodles. I get shit about it from my family all the time. "Mija, pero es just chiiiiiiiicken" No, ma...not even chicken! *stomps off* "Mija, want me to do your brows for you?" No, ma...I like them this way! *stomps off* Much like the rest of me, my brows are thick and rebellious. I stomped my way to Vishali after a particularly unfortunate encounter with some broad in La Verne who messed up my brows something wicked. I was heated and armed with pics of the kind of brows I thought I wanted. Hard angles, soft angles, flat and 50's glam. Vishali took one look at the photos, then a couple looks at my face and told me how it was going to go down. She proceeded to explain why those shapes wouldn't work on my unruly, natural brows and then showed me what would. And you know what? She was right. She has spent the last few months shooting down my hippie angle brow fantasies and fixing them into a shape that compliments and flatters my cute lil face. "Mija, finally someone is doing your brows right!" Thanks, ma. Vishali will not coddle your dreams of unattainable brow queen arches, but she will tell you what will look best on your mug. Okay I LOVED the first few times I came in. My eyebrows looked great! But as time started to pass she would change the shape or make them thinner. I thought "maybe she doesnt remember me or how I like them" So i would do a little friendly reminder every time. But I realized what the problem was. When she has people waiting even if it's only 1 person she will rush it. My first few times there was no one so she was able to do a good job. I dont mind waiting for people to get their eyebrows done because when im seating in that chair i want her to take good time on mine. If you ask her or tell her something when she has people she will give you a taste of attitude which i dont appreciate. I understand you dont want to keep your customers waiting long but i would rather wait and get a killer threading! She should really get someone else to help her. If i go in and see more than 3 people waiting i know it will be a disaster and wont like it. Also the thread is always snapping on my face! Its annoying and it hurts. Came here on a Wed. evening, wait wasn't bad, only about 10 min. I'm not sure who threaded my eyebrows and upper lip but I'm so sad! I came in with bushy eyebrows and wanted a clean up and a little more arch and I left with stick - like eybrows. :( Also, my upper lip still has and few hairs and they don't grab any hairs from the nose. my last place in Mission Viejo (Brow Story, I recently moved) got most of the hairs sticking out of my nose and always kept my eyebrows on point. I'm going to try the threading place in the Target shopping center next time. I love coming to see Vaishali. She's been doing mine and my family's brows for more then a year already. I got my eyebrows Microbladed by Vaishali yesterday and I love them. She was running a little behind because her first client came in late and that pushed her back, but that's okay she let me know ahead of time and as Vaishali was finishing up with me, my daughter was waiting in the car because she had an appointment after me to get her brows done. I will never be back here again. I don't know if she was in a bad mood or just bitter toward me because I haven't come in so long, but I swear she purposely ripped out my upper lip hair as fast as possible to cause pain. When I told her I just wanted my lip done she seemed even more annoyed than she already was. My upper lip is swollen now. There are tiny flecks of blood. I am sure this will result in those gross bumps that look like pimples. She never even switched sides; she just ripped my hair out in long sections. There wasn't anyone else even waiting so I have no clue why she rushed so much. Usually she is nice and makes small talk. Today she made it seem like I was lucky to get a hi out of her. The girl kept saying "let me know if it hurts", but it's not like there's a whole lot she could do? I dont know how the other place I used to go to in SF could do it without hurting as badly, but I did leave here with red bumps (8 hours later, I still do have tiny red bumps/burns around my eyes). The lady working was very nice but she didn't ask me any questions about shape and how thin. She just cleaned my eyebrows and saw my expression. She did courteously ask if I wanted to thin them out more. But didn't pursue any other helpful advise. Being a Threading establishment, shouldn't the workers ask how and what the client wants especially if they are new to your business? Vaishali is amazing! My eyebrows only know one person and that is her! She is so sweet and gives such personal attention to my eyebrows and face. In the beginning, she would take her time and make sure she didn't hurt my super sensitive skin. Now, I am more used to it and I feel it's because of her. She gives me such a great arch and never makes them too thin. But you can choose your preferences with her. She also has a customer card where if you receive 5 threading services, you get the 6th free. I came in early to get my eyebrows and lip threaded. When I walked in I noticed how clean and tidy the place was which is a huge plus! I saw down in the chair and told the woman how I had been going to a different spot but felt as though my brows were never really getting the shape I was asking for. So the woman listened to me point out where I needed it most etc. Before she started she told me her game plan and then began threading. My eyebrows look awesome and I love that she listened to me about the shape I am going for. She told me where to let them grow out for next time to achieve the look I want which was really helpful.
