I haven't had my brows threaded since before Covid and decided that this was the day! I walked into brow art for the first time and didn't realize there was a computer check in system until after I sat down and saw someone check in before me..... I think my one suggestion would be to make this a little more obvious for newbies to the location. Other than that, it was quick, easy, and my brows looked so fresh! read more

I've been to Brow Art 23 two times now. Not the same person threaded my eyes brows but they both did a great job! The lady who did my brows yesterday was not much of a talker. Which I didn't mind. My eyebrows don't look bad but this is the worst experience I've ever had getting my eyebrows done. I've gotten my eyebrows both threaded and waxed many many times and I've NEVER had it hurt this bad. The lady didn't even brush off the loose hair when she was done. Smelled like straight cigarette smoke and wasn't the most polite person. And she didn't give me a mirror (or even a second to look in the big mirror) before rushing me off to the payment counter. The whole experience was very rushed and there was only one customer waiting behind me, no one else in the whole place. To save you some time, this shop is located across from Champs and next to DTRL/Barnes and Noble. I made the mistake of thinking it was near Dillard's. Samah threaded my eyebrows and I think she did a thorough job. Literally "no hair left behind." I suggest that you don't wear contacts or makeup (that you would mind getting messed up) if you plan on getting your eyebrows threaded as you have to place your fingers over your eyelids. FYI $10 for eyebrow threading. My only complaint is that I didn't receive a warm welcome. I'm not expecting a red carpet or rice to be thrown, but it would be nice to feel welcomed. I felt like the other two employees just watched me as I walked in. Awkward. All in all, I definitely be back! read more

Wouldn't recommend this place at all, I've never experienced such bad customer service like this ever. I needed to get my eyebrows done, so I stopped by this place at the mall Sunday morning. It was empty so the lady was able to start threading immediately which was nice but that's all the positive thing I could say. So she started without washing her hands or using hand sanitizer which was so disgusting because her hands smelled like cigarettes for the whole time. Secondly, she didn't ask what I wanted for my brows and started threading immediately. I kept telling her to just to clean it up, she made it so angular for my face. So at this point I just accepted the fact that I've made a huge mistake and just wanted to get out of there. As I was finishing up tipping and signing the receipt, she increases her tip on the computer and prints the customer copy out for me. Like the service was awful already why would you also adjust your own tip. I'll never come back to this place or wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

I had my first ever eyebrow threading experience here a while ago. Thankfully Neelam was working when I arrived. She was THE. BEST. And I told everyone I knew how amazing threading is. Strangers were commenting on how great my eyebrows looked too! So surreal. The next 2 visits I had, Neelam wasnt working and someone else did my brows. The experience wasn't as good and my eyebrows didn't look as amazing. From then on, every time I walked past Brow Art 23 in the mall, I peeked inside to see if the magical threading unicorn fairy was there, but I didn't see her again for a while ... I was heartbroken as I sadly tweezed my eyebrows at home. This morning? NEELAM WAS THERE! And just as incredible and magical as I had remembered. And my eyebrows have never been happier. I have my brows done in MN by the same chain and they always look great afterwards. I stopped by today hoping for a similar experience in the VA Beach location, and she absolutely BUTCHERED my brows. She literally shaved off almost half of one eyebrow and tried to blame the length of my hair. Absolutely no excuse!!! I had to spend almost $50 at sephora afterwards on brow products to try to now fake brows that she shaved off. So upset I almost cried. Thank God for makeup! read more

I have been coming to this location for a little over a year. I will only allow/ trust Ms. Neelam to do my eyebrows. Just from me observing over this timeframe I do not feel that she is properly recognized for her loyalty to the company and her clients. I have seen several people come and go. I am wondering why she has never been promoted to the manager position???? EVERYONE COMES TO HER! this new manager that you all have hired, the elderly lady cannot even do eyebrows good. I have heard plenty of customers complain about their service. It came to a point that if I do not see Ms. Neelam in the store I keep walking. This is probably a waste of time because it seems to be repeated event within your company. But I spend my money in the store and I am fed up with the things that I have noticed. Kamrun I love love love my eyebrows!!!! I was coming here for about 7 mos and my eyebrows were disappearing . I was told to allow my eyebrows to grow so that they can be formed correctly. I did but didn't see a change . Then I returned and Kamrun did my eyebrows for the last two visit and they are perfect and almost identical!! I usually have a great experience here, but lately the lady who did my brows was very unprofessional. She was on the phone the whole time she was threading my eyebrows and then when I went to pay, said that their system was down and that I couldn't pay with card. I didn't have any cash on me so she told me to walk to the nearest ATM and withdraw cash (while still on the phone with her sister). I normally have a great experience here. I usually see the older woman. Today, I walked in and a younger woman was sitting on the couch. Couldn't tell if she was a client or the brow artist. Turns out after she stared at me for a few seconds, she said "what do you want?" I told her my brows and she directed me to a chair. I've had my brows threaded for years. I'm used to the fast and smooth technique. Hold for the first half, relax for the second. Wrong. I held the whole time and her technique was choppy and painful. I could feel her tug at each hair. She also said, "do you not realize one brow is thicker than the other?" So how did she proceed....THINNING BOTH OF THEM. I pride myself on my thicker eyebrows and now I'll be filling them in until they grow out. Really not happy and won't be back to this location. Neelam is the absolute best and the only person in VA Beach that I allow to touch my eyebrows. She is also the only reason I am giving a 5 star review. My husband and I come here and get our eyebrows done by Neelam and she does a perfect job each and every time. She has taken the time to listen to me and what I wanted. My only critique would be for the other young lady working there Camrun. My husband went one day when Neelam was off and allowed her to do his brows and when he came home his arch was completely taken off. He now makes sure he only sees Neelam. Please avoid at all cost!!! I usually go to a place in pembroke mall, but I was already at Lynnhaven and decided to stop here. I stood there waiting while she was talking about her husband to a random guy. When she finally greeted me she said, you should've made some noise, I didnt know you were there (after she had clearly looked right at me). So she directs me to her chair and takes my cellphone out of my hand. I was not looking at my cellphone or on it, so there was no point in her touching it or taking it out of my hand. At this point I am OVER IT. She threads my eyebrows and they look absolutely terrible. So bad that I had to wax the part underneath when I got home and tweeze way too many hairs. On top of all of that she kept humming in my ear and talking right over my face with her cigarette breath. DO NOT get your eyebrows done here. Horrible experience. read more
