Due to this being my first EL session, I wasn't exactly sure what to expect for any sessions. Upon meeting Ms. Orgel, I was struck by her quiet but eccentric demeanor, and she welcomed me into her workspace quite quickly. It was very neat, clean, and sanitary (although she does seem to have a lot going on at her workstation; don't we all?). Filling out some necessary personal information is the first step, and she takes a good glance at the areas you want to have worked on to further understand your skin type and current condition. Her EL method is so fast, and nearly painless. She also keeps the dialogue coming and can carry on some fun discussions while working (with some minimal jazz music as well), which helps keep your mind off the procedure. Very sanitary, and she definitely knows what she is doing when it comes to handing your skin. She also has a fantastic history in the field of EL and stress management sessions, and she is what I would consider to be a true expert. The price might be a shocker for some people, but in this case, you get what you pay for. The less you pay, the more your EL specialist may cut corners, and end up using the wrong equipment/method on you, or try to rush, thus damaging your skin permanently, and the last thing you want is to pay for someone to jack up your skin. Vivian takes no shortcuts, and treats your skin with the utmost care. After this one session and my experience, I have zero issues whatsoever with the cost, and am more than happy to support the work of an amazing specialist such as her. I'm so looking forward to my following weekly sessions. You are amazing, Vivian. Update: After my second 2-hour session with her, I am even more looking forward to setting up more appointments. My skin is looking clearer than it has in the last 12 years, and I am actually receiving compliments from customers on my skin's complexion at my job. I had a horrible experience with Vivian Orgel . She didn't demonstrate any professionalism that would make me want to do business with her or recommend anyone to her. She sent me harassing text messages that I kept because I'm sure she will like to deny them. In her text messages she told me to go to Newport News, what does that even mean? I perceived it as a threaT. Her behavior was irrational and quite frankly scary. It started with a call about two minutes before my appointment time to see where I was. I said I was parking and about to come in, that statement seemed to provoke a rant about how I could have parked anywhere on the street or in the Walgreens parking lot. This is my first time here so I wasn't familiar and shared that which prompted another tirade of how many bills she has to pay and that it's her lunch time, I didn't know what to say about that so I offered to come back after or at a better time which led to an outright meltdown which was scary . I was so confused thinking she was having a medical emergency so to be mindful I asked if I should reschedule because she just seemed so out of control, and I didn't want to escalate her more even though I didn't know what was wrong to start with I was just showing up for an appointment. But then she became belligerent and at this point I was getting scared to say the least . I didn't want her to get worse or for me to go Inside and get hurt. I simply and very very politely said I no longer want the service for my own safety and to have a great day I ended the call to which she followed up immediately with multiple long harassing texts (scary) that I had to ask her to stop doing. I went to Vivian for quite a while to have a few areas treated initially, every time i went I felt like she kept getting more hair in different areas, or didnt treat the hair that was originally treated and said I was requesting "new" hair(which I wasn't), and it just spiraled out of control to where it seemed like it would inevitably be a never ending process. While she never told me exactly how many treatments I could anticipate it taking, after a few years of going every other week, I felt i should have seen a lot more results than i did for such small areas being treated. I noticed absolutely no change in the hair amount, thickness, or growth and always assumed it was something I was doing, or it was something wrong with me. I recently went to have a second opinion done with another technician because I was sick of wasting my money and seeing no change, and they were shocked at how long I had said Id gone previously, and the amount of hair that i still had visible. They stated that there was no way it should have taken that long for the little space that i was doing, and that it seemed as if my hair had just been being tweezed for the last few years, which would explain why I hadnt seen the results I should have seen by then. They asked me if I ever saw her change probes, or what type of machine she had/what type of method she used, and to be honest I couldn't ever recall being told, or seeing the equipment she used. While Vivian is a great person and very sweet, I can say I am happy that I decided to switch technicians. I had a completely different experience with Vivian and the other individual. I have noticed almost an immediate change in my hair growth (or lack there of). The technique in which they removed the hair is completely different than that of which Vivian used. I often felt a tugging of the hair or it feeling like it was being "pulled" out, however I now notice I simply feel a "zap" at the area, and rarely feel the hair being removed, which is apparently how its supposed to be. I will say I had far less reaction when Vivian performed the service- I was usually only red in the areas for a day or so- now it seems like i scab up a little bit more, but in hindsight, it may be because it was never being done correctly in the first place. read more
