Awful service! The lady who did my eyebrows was very rude and worked too quickly, leaving them uneven. I would not recommend this place. I guess you get what you pay for cheap prices and cheap service!!! 0 Star read more

Saw the reviews and called to see if Reekha was available, she was near hotel so I immediately went. There. I saw some awaiting for her so I knew she was good. I went for tint and just that, I did inquire about laminating but she wanted to assess my eyebrows. She saw that someone previously took too much off one side and it was completely different. She actually explained and got them back. She showed me how it look and said it's clean you can actually get lamination if you'd like and tint. She checked on me and let me know and I see so many coming in looking for her. But she handled workload very well. Love how she fixed them. She told me in a few months they will grow back just takes time. I wish I lived here because I would definitely come back. read more

Always kind and they take walk ins. I go here regularly for threading and they always do a good job.

Love going to this place. Excellent fast threading done. No pain or redness. Staff are really friendly.

Worst customer service ever And they don't do a good job Worker was so rude, me and my sister wanted a certain lady to do our eyebrows she tried to convince us to go to someone else ,so we just stepped out of the shop read more

I'm not sure why there are such bad reviews of this place. Perhaps it's the beautician someone is seeing? I have been coming here for over 5 years when they were just a booth in the middle of the mall. I was thrilled they got their own store in the mall and now an even better, bigger spot near the nail salon. I prefer parking in the back of the mall than the front, so I love their new location next to Foxy Nails and across from the men's side of H&M. Since my skin is not a fan of hot wax and I had a lot of irritation after, I started doing threading. I liked that this place hired Indian women. That might sound weird, but being an Indian woman, I knew I wouldn't get brows that are too thin or short. That was always my problem with waxing. Too much being taken off and it didn't look natural. Having women with similar eyebrow types as myself, it made it easier and better and made me more comfortable and confident to know they'd do a good job. I started seeing Amna there before she moved (so sad) and then quickly picked two other ladies there and don't get my eyebrows or anything else on my face done by anyone else there. Nima is FANTASTIC. If you go, go see her! In fact, she "shadowed" Amna before she moved, so she knew how to do my brows. She is gentle with the thread and her movements are quick so they are painless. If you are in pain when you go, you need to find a new threader. She also won't do your brows if she honestly believes you don't need it. I remember going in there once and she said "You don't need anything. Or it'll be too thin" and I was happy with that. The other girl, Alya is someone else I see mostly for other parts of my face (lip) because she is also quick and gentle, but I prefer Nima to tend to my brows. I haven't had anyone else do my brows there because honestly, I don't trust the others and don't know how they work. If you pick someone great who knows you and knows what you normally do, you stick with that. Otherwise you're going to have a bad time. read more

The young lady who did my brows was very professional and did a great job. I let them know what I wanted and how I haven't gotten my eyebrows done in a long time because another salon did a poor job and made them too thin. Literally spent less than 2 minutes on my brows, left a ton of extra hair and made the shape look so weird! Very disappointed and will not be coming back. read more

I've been coming here for 3 years and they're normally do a great job. Came in today and a lady I have never seen before was the only one working. I left with about half my eyebrows and the left one significantly thinner than the other, plus she was rude. If you have thick dark brows take caution. read more

I've now visited 3 times in the last year. Rekha has done my eyebrow threading twice and I am pretty pleased. The first time she was considerate to stay on the conservative side and then we were able to fine tune more the second time around. I appreciate how she listens to what I voice and want. Also, she is careful to constantly check left versus right sides -- asymmetry bothers me and I've felt very good with her technique and results. I recommend. read more

My go-to spot for eyebrow threading. I regularly come here to get them maintained and introduced some other friends here as well. Now we all just go here! Affordable, convenient, and super easy. :) The technicians are friendly and always do a solid job. read more

I have been going to Brow Art 23 at Briarwood Mall in Ann Arbor for several years and have consistently received wonderful service! I get my eye brows threaded by Archi and she has always provided great service both in her skill set and attention to detail to ensure whatever service she is providing is done well. I always feel great after visiting Archi and the other employees as they all are highly skilled and make you feel comfortable with their friendly and kind personalities. They offer a wide variety of services including eyebrow threading and their prices are VERY fair! I highly recommend visiting Brow Art 23 as I promise you won't be disappointed ! I am not the type of person to leave a review but the lady that did my eyebrows was ridiculous. She finished my brows in less than two minutes and seemed very rushed for me to leave. She was not gentle at all during the threading and caused bleeding on my heart right eyebrow. She missed several spots which I didn't even want to have her fixed since she was adamant about making the process quick. Eyebrows are important and my experience was ruined here by her, I do not recommend ever stopping here for your eyebrows! read more

I should have taken before and after photos. After a bad wax job, I left my brows untouched for MONTHS trying to grow them back in thickly and evenly. My plan was to save up and go to one of those fancy places that charge $50 to shape your brows. That way, I'd be sure to avoid the disaster that happened last time. Then I got a call for an interview. An interview they wanted to schedule the next day, before any spas open. This little mall shop with mediocre reviews was literally my only option. Let me tell you, the woman who did my brows mowed down my overgrown brows so quickly and painlessly I didn't know she was done when she handed me the mirror until I looked at it. No wonder the wait was so short. The price was good ($12+tip), too, and everyone was kind to me. They made sure to wish me luck as I left. I'd be interested to go back and try brow tinting ($25) sometime when I can afford to take a few risks. read more

Terrible. I should have trusted review. She made my brow width to 60% and said just trimmed. Now I have so narrow brow. I hope it grows again. Also, she did not make the right and left brows matched, so my right brow is higher than left brow. Terrible. I will never go there again. read more

I was on the fence with some of the reviews. However even though busy they were nice, fast and efficient. It was my first threading experience and she assured me all would be good and asked if I was doing okay. I will be back. Thanks! read more

Brow Art 23 - Threaded and filled in. - Hair Removal Near Me - Ann Arbor, Michigan

I've been going to Brow Art 23 for the past three years and can say they are the best in the area. I've tried several other places for eyebrow threading but I have not been satisfied. They have s change in girls that do eyebrows every few months but I have never had a bad experience with any of the ladies. I recommend this place for eyebrow threading. read more

Quality, class & a good sense of humor. I thought Above Ground what the only place you could get beautifully threaded eyebrows, but I stand corrected. Brow Art 23 does an even better job, and almost 1/2 the cost. Right off the bus line, great service & cheaper? Well, I'm converted. read more

I feel bad giving this review cause I'm gonna sound like such an angry bitch, but what can I do? I've come to this place three times in total, each time thinking that $12 isn't a bad price to get my brows shaped and cleaned up. Each time was a failure. They always come out so fucking thin and incredibly uneven. It makes me really sad. But I keep trying because I'm generous and low-key feel the need to support small businesses like this, because my parents were immigrants who owned a little Chinese restaurant and I get the same vibe that this might be a owned and run by family business. Anyway. This time I decided to go and get them CLEANED UP, because I love my shape. I tell the lady, she nods. But when Im sitting in the chair I feel actual hairs being pulled out, but I keep faith because I told the lady and she nodded, so I just stay quiet. But then when she gives me the little handheld mirror I see how thin they are and even MORE uneven than when I do them myself :( When I do my own brows, I need to take a decade because its hard to get them to look really even (mine are inherently uneven, so it takes time). So you can imagine my heart plummeting to my gut when I see how visibly uneven they are. One is incredibly arched and the other is flatter and doesn't have the curve. Made me really sad and disappointed and wondered why I decided to give in and give this place a try again. Long story short, I think this place is good for people who have thick, beautiful, rich brows that have a defined shape and not that much ambiguity, because you will know what shape you are supposed to get (it will just look right), and they will too. But as for me, who has brows that aren't very defined or thick, I require a approach that uses a combination of precision TWEEZING and threading/waxing. Not just the threading method they use here. Also, I get the impression they just try to get you in the chair and out, because my entire procedure took only a few minutes. I dunno. She just asked if I wanted lotion, smacked it on my face, and I was ready to go. On the other hand, my friend who has beautifully thick eyebrows (she's also Indian, does this make a difference? She can speak Hindi with them, I dunno) gets her brows done here and she leaves looking like a fucking GODDESS, so that's what always makes me also feel tempted to come back and get them done, believing that they can also make the same magic work on me, but it has failed thrice. So, I won't be coming back here again, and I just want to warn everyone that it seems like this place is just a huge big HIT OR MISS. So please be careful girls. I'm just going to have to slowly regrow these brows and hope I don't get any sparse(r) or bald spots :( Much love and sending positive energy to your brows if they were fucked up by this establishment. The only good that has come out of visiting here is now I am 100% going to only allow ME, MYSELF, and I to do my brows. No more going to tricho, brow salons, or anywhere else to get my brows done, no matter how tempting a $8-12 dollar clean up may be. read more

Having come to appreciate getting my brows threaded on occasion at the mall, I figured it would be worth a try here when I moved out to Ann Arbor. The first time I went, several months ago, I went home with lopsided eyebrows that made it look like I was constantly raising one eyebrow. While that's funny for a few minutes, it's definitely not what you want to look like on a daily basis. Understanding that mistakes can happen and willing to give a second chance, I went again last weekend. It was definitely the fastest I've ever had my eyebrows threaded... But that's not necessarily a good thing. The skin around my brows is fairly sensitive I guess, so it's usually red for an hour or so afterwards. This time, it was still red and puffy the next day, and I had several red bumps, which has never happened before. I might go back just because the location is convenient, but threading is something I can do without, and I'd much rather find somewhere to go where I can get better results... read more

This place really is a hit or miss but usually I get an amazing job done. My sister was left with uneven eyebrows and that has happened to me as well but it is barely noticeable. This place is a good go to eyebrow place. It really depends on who you get. Not sure of the name of who usually does my brows but she's a little bigger, definitely not fat! There's just one girl who is really really small in com UPDATE: never going back the lady took way too much off and got rid of my arch so I have chunks of eyebrow read more

I returned and in a quicker than usual fashion, in not even 15 minutes, my eyebrows were threaded, trimmed, cleaned, moisturized and ready for their closeup. I'm trying to for most see what the disconnect is for most people. Maybe threading isn't for everyone, but I've gone into this place a handful of of times with a different lady doing my brows each time and I consistently come away looking great. There's not much to be said for the pricing. For upkeep, in this town, you will pay. Whether it be nails, massages, or something as "minute" as eyebrows you will pay. I used to get my eyebrow"s done at the same place I go to get a massage and paid way more for lower quality work. I'm talking lopsided, looking as if they weren't even done for $18. When there's less competition and people are willing to pay, you can have crazy prices like that. $12 isn't much to pay if you like what you're getting. I think people are just going to have their own experiences here, I think it's at least worth a try. read more

I had been getting my brows waxed for years but after having a lot of "hit or miss" waxes I decided I'd try threading. I think the main difference between threading vs waxing is it allows for a more natural look/shape. The 'lines' threading creates aren't severe and if you have sensitive skin you don't have to worry about wax irritating your brows. I've been to Brow Art 23 on two separate occasions and have been very happy with the results. They charge $12 which is a lot cheaper than what some spas charge for waxing (I've paid $20+ for a wax before). This location used to be in the middle of the mall, where anyone walking by could watch you, but they've recently opened up in an actual 'store' location so there is more privacy. read more

Threading of the eyebrows gives your eyes a more defined and shaped look. Compared to waxing where I have often times been given the straight wax across the brows with no defined arch to them. I tried threading and I like it a lot! Brow Art 23 does a really god job of creating an arch or going with the natural arch of your eyebrows. The service is fast and they do a good job! The ladies even try and stop and give you a short rest if it gets a little too painful. Which it does for me sometimes :-) It's not excruciating pain but it does make my eyes water. They also do eyelashes and eye make up services their as well. read more

This place is AMAZING! I go all the time and have never had a bad experience. Mind you, I have only Ever got my eye brows threaded here, but again AMAZING! They are super friendly, and great price. I USED to have the nicest brows, I just needed them to be cleaned up. The woman asked me if I needed them "cleaned up" and I say yes, I tell her I like my eyebrows thick. Pissed! The older lady rushed through doing my eyebrows(that are thin and ez anyway), CUT ME Twice, and then used scissors to cut a chunk out of one of my brows. I will NEVER go back here again. I have been going to Brow Art in Briarwood mall for many years to see Nima. She is incredible. Definitely not the best experience. I came here only because it was one of the only eyebrow threading places in AA that was affordable, but I won't be returning. The experience was awful--hasty work and it felt like my face was not handled with care. Also, the shape of my brows were not satisfactory. I'm actually upset that I paid for this service. read more

Not a bad place if you want a quick work on your eyebrows. They charge $12 for eyebrow threading and $7 for upper lips. There are two ladies who do all the work. They are really sweet, polite, professional and quick. Threading did not hurt at all but later I noticed that it left marks on my eyebrows. Guess the lady was little harsh. Will let her know next time and see how it goes. This review might be updated next time I go there. read more

Been here two or three times, and the really sweet Indian ladies have done a really nice job. They always made sure my brows were flawless, that I was comfortable, and were really gentle, no redness, etc. Basically awesome. Today, I went in, and there was already a girl in the chair getting her brows done by a lady I'd never seen before. The girl's two friends we sitting off to the side, waiting for her, but not waiting for a service. The threading woman told me to come sit in the seat, but kept cajoling the first girl's friends to try threading, to let her "just do the top" and see. So I stopped at the chair and waited, in case another girl wanted to get her stuff done, since they were here first. The girl's friends insisted they didn't want anything done. Now that I am absolutely sure that I'm next in line for the service, I finally take a seat in her chair. THEN I hear the lady tell one of the friends, "Hey, you have really pretty eyes, I think we have the same ones" then left me to go check out this girl's contact lenses. Ok. I ask the lady to keep my eyebrows as thick as possible. She doesn't seem to register my request because she attempts one last ditch effort and begs the girl's friend: "come onnnnnn, let me just do the top." Lady, I'm already in your chair. Are you seriously not going to quit it? While in the chair, she seemed pissed off she didn't get to do the cute, pretty Asian girl's eyebrows, and instead is left with the chubby Asian girl with gnarly eyebrows. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for years, I'm used to the process. I know how to tighten the skin, and I get that different threaders prefer different hand positions. This chick literally scolded me like a child for not positioning it perfectly. The end result of this debacle was two ridiculously thin eyebrows, a lot of redness, and so many stray hairs left over I ended up going home and waxing the rest off myself. I'm not talking two of three hairs here and there. I am talking about other than shaping my brows far too thinly, this chick did a worse job cleaning up my brows than me and my meaty hands and a few strips of Sally Hansen ready-made wax strips could do. If I wanted to throw my money away, I'd rather chuck it at those super sweet chicks at Rani in Canton who also thread my eyes far too thinly, but at least it's only $8 and they don't make me feel like I am a 3 minute inconvenience. Four star rating for the awesome job the other ladies have done for me (which i'd rate 3.5 to 4 stars). -5 for Miss Sassybritches who can't listen to a request over her own obnoxious braying. read more
